What a disappointment. I went in for a broken veneer. They sold me on a deep clean, and 6 crowns for the front teeth. Something I have wanted to do for a very long time. I wound up with a one piece bridge that is not the correct color. I don't know if I got what I paid for. I was able to speak to someone on the first day and was told that they would speak to the Dr. and get back to me the following day. No one has called and that was a week ago. Now when I call them I am automatically sent to voicemail, I am assuming they know its me through caller ID and ignore my calls on purpose and do not return my message. They ran my credit card for the full amount ($12,000) before any work was done and were very happy to answer before completing the work.
The girl that was responsible for helping pick my color was very much off her game that day. She spent 30 minutes trying to scan my mouth with a wand that had a dead battery and was not very attentive when I asked which color did she thing was good. I don't think she wrote down the correct #. The Dr. even asked when placing the bridge who was the technician that helped because she wanted them to be whiter. I think that Aspen Dental of Sumter SC takes advantage of people who are in a very vulnerable space and that is sad. I will be following up with an attorney and demand for my records as I intend to have the smile I have dreamed of and paid for.

      Predatory Financing Practices.
I felt pressured to accept financing even though I did not want to apply for it (and told the treatment coordinator that twice). I was in pain and upset, and I wasn't able to make a responsible decision in the state I was in (which was obvious to the treatment coordinator because I was crying in her office). Additionally, the treatment coordinator never told me what my insurance was covering or what treatments I was paying for. It wasn't until I was leaving that I realized this and when I asked her these things I was shocked at how little I was getting for how much I was paying.
They do have a 5 day cancellation policy for their financing so I took advantage of that the next day and I cancelled my following treatments with them.
I won't recommend this location or Aspen Dental to other people after this experience.

ASPEN DENTAL first of all the miss my teeth up in the front where she should have cap or place a crown on it ; she didn't . the Dr. filed my tooth down so thin it cracked 3 months later. So I went back for repairs to be done everything is fine so far. I needed an extraction of the half jagged tooth. I paid for it in full $302.00. they the company apply $210.00 toward my bill from me as if the insurance paid then want me to pay an extra $92.00 as account balance then when iI called they try to make it sound like my insurance left the balance for me. I have my receipt I have my bank statement. They don't seem very honest in the finance dept sound like some fraud going on in the office. Julia said she show me how the bill was handle by the insurance but that was my out of pocket. because I refuse the payment service of adding the balance for the extraction with cleaning in to be finance with their company. and paid balance in full. Mind now it's nothing against the tech the second doctor"Dr. Romain" I had they are fine it's the office manage for sending the payment in wrong. Cause somebody owe me $92.00.
the first review was not a good one and Julia/Julie & Yolanda asked me to please take down. I did but not this . this is just wrong. Trying to rip off senior citizens "black seniors" the office staff talk very different to the caucasian. I've heard them trying to make black senior citizens pay for service covered by insurance. I don't need but one cleaning per year; the one covered by my insurance. i just want companies to be honest and trustworthy. I really can't recommend this company to anyone base on their billing department and office management at this Sumter establishment. I'm hoping they will see their mistake. Please resolve this issue.

Called the lexington sc office to have them see me for an emergency Aug.6th, 2024 on my tooth that is severely hurting. Scale 1-10. I'm a 10.
I was told by the dr. That they need to remove my crown cut it out so I can get relief. That want happen until Aug.26,2024 that's 3 weeks I have to wait in pain. if I couldn't wait he could send me to an emergency dental place in west columbia sc. My insurance doesn't cover that dental location. I was offered no pain meds. Or antibiotics in case of infection. What kind of place offers emergency services and doesn't follow through for patients at least in a couple days not 3 weeks. My job is to teach Kindergarten that's very difficult to do with such awful pain. I also called other aspen dental location to see if they had an earlier appointment they said they could not see me either.

I am very disappointed with my service, first I was that I only had to pay 1700.00, dollars out of pocket and that the insurance were responsible for the rest, based on my insurance, then I get a bill stating that I owes 2500.00 more dollars. And I have to pay that before I can be seen again, mind you that the, partial that they made, bottom, don't fit, they hurt my gum, every time I keep them in more than three or more hours I have to remove them and the top partial, they made three or more molding for the top which they can't get them to fit in my mouth right but I'm supposed to pay 2500.00 dollars before they can see me again. I'm not satisfied with the service that I'm receiving, I have bottom denture that I can't wear in my mouth, top denture that I will never know if it will fit in my mouth, because I can't be seen until I pay them up front. If I knew this was going to cause me this much of a headache I wouldn't have never gone there.

I had an appointment yesterday at Aspen Dental in Columbia SC. Upon arrival, offered my dental insurance information. Told no need because your exam today is no charge. After completing an exam, informed that I had a gum disease, which requires a dental scaling and antiobiotics. I also had a chipped tooth with a missing filling. The office manager came in the room and stated the total for dental scaling, antibiotics, and replacement filler would cost $5k. However, she stated, with your insurance: 1k for dental scaling and antibiotics and 1k for replacement filler. This would require two days of dental treatment. After completing the dental scaling and antibiotics, which took 2.5 hrs (too long) informed by the bilking clerk that the office mamager overcharged me. With my dental insurance both days of treatment would $600. But she charged my credit card 2k quoted by the office manager. I refused to sign this credit charge of $2k bc she admitted that I had been overcharged. The billing clerk became upset that I refused to sign the credit card authoeization. I stated will be back tomorrow to sort out the overcharge and finish dental treatment with the replacement filler. As luck would have it, I missed the dental appt today due to a schedule conflict. I called Aspen Dental to cancel the replacement filler today and refund my credit card. I also mentioned the discrepency of $600 for both days vs $2k for both days. This resulted in a shouting match. The office manager insisted on charging my credit card $2k for yesterday, which was a dental scaling and antibiotics. This is insanely overpriced and fraudulent. There is an attempt to charge me for dental treatment today that did not occur, filler replacement. I called my credit card company immediately and filed a fraud complaint. I am also calling my lawyer to discuss any outstanding legal ramifications. Beware! Possible fraud awaits!

I really like Dr. Haase she was very kind and thorough, I raved about her to my husband. She took her time and explained things, working towards a good plan of care. However, the office staff is another story. The guy at the front desk is very rude and disrespectful. Called me this morning and was going to call back but never did. I had to call 5 minutes before they closed to figure out if I did or didn’t have an appointment on Monday morning. When I called he proceeded to tell me that he is the one helping me and that I am not their only patient. When I just want to know what I need to do for Monday morning. For someone that already has really bad anxiety going to the dentist, this doesn’t make me want to come back to this office or any other aspen dental for that matter. I proceeded to ask the guy who answers the phones if I could speak with the office manager he put me on hold for 10 minutes and then they shut their phones off and it went to voice mail. This is horrible patient care and as a nurse myself I would tell my patients to RUN far away from this place
