    I had a hurricane shutter installed approximately 1 year ago. It failed the very first time it was used. I reported it to Affordable Blinds. They looked at it and told me they would order the parts to repair. That was months ago. I have sent them numerous emails, text messages and phone calls. They either 1) don't respond, 2) tell me they are working on it, or 3) will try to get me on the schedule. I would appreciate your help in getting this resolved.

    The Hurricane shutter was installed in May of 2022. The customer called me about checking out the shutter that was not working properly after she sent a neighbor over to open the shutter up. I went to her home and checked the shutter. The shutter was over-cranked and was bound up inside the headrail. The slats were bent up and the shutter would not operate at all. The shutter was out of warranty and we tried to determine what the best course of action was, ie repair or replace. After agreeing that we could possibly repair the shutter, I ordered the numerous parts needed. Some of the parts were on backorder for months. The manufacture finally sent the parts needed. After receiving the parts, I unfortunately lost my installer. This job required 2 people who could climb a tall ladder. Once I had another installer, we completed the repair, replacing multiple parts and only charging her for the parts. I never even charged her for the labor.

    I ordered shutters from Affordable Blinds & Shutters of *****, **. They were delivered for insulation the week before Mother's Day. During the insulation they broke the window on my patio door. It's almost Christmas now and still the window remains broken. 1st he told us it would be a week to 10 days and he would get back to us and have it fixed. I waited for over a month & not a word. I started calling and calling and also texting him because he did not return my calls. Finally he said that he had ordered the glass and would have his wife check on it and get back to me. I had to call him again and he said he would be in the area the next day and would stop by and check himself. I had to call him again and he said that they had made it wrong and it had a scratch on it. He said they were making him a new one. I had to call again he said they made it wrong again and were making a new one. I had to call again this time he said they lost it and couldn't fine it. I told him enough go somewhere else and get my door fixed. Supposedly he has gone somewhere else and said it would be the 1st week in December. I texted him again with No Reply of course.

    Interviewed Bryan l** @Affordable blinds and shutters. He came in and told us he could do the complete job in two weeks he came, and he put the shades in. Then we waited and waited for the rest of our windows coverings after 6 to 8 months of his promises we asked for a refund for the specialty shades I did get the refund but then he told me I wouldn't be able to find a specialty shades anywhere else and they already had them ordered. I told him to let me know when they did come in. He told me they came in and he'd get back to me. I have yet to hear from him that was back in October today. I posted it on Facebook and got a very rude reply from him. I'd really a call from Affordable Blinds in shutters corporate office.

    Ms. ****** ordered 11 roller shades and 4 specialty arched shades on 5/9/22. At that time, she paid a 50% deposit. Her roller shades were completed and we were still waiting on the specialty shades. The company we ordered our shades from kept saying they were working on them. After waiting several months, the company then said they could not manufacture the over-sized specialty shades. I spoke with Ms. ****** and advised that I had reached out to another company who said they could produce them. She agreed to give the other company a chance. After 3-4 weeks, that company said they could not produce them either due to the size. At that point, Ms ****** requested a refund for the specialty shades. I agreed, and she received her refund, as requested. I never like an upset customer, and I apologized for the lengthy issues with the specialty shades and told her that I didn't want any hard feelings. She said she was going to get quotes from other companies. I advised that she probably wasn't going to be able to find one to manufacture because of the size. I advised that I have built the products before and that I could order the supplies and build the shades myself. She said get the material in and we will go from there. I received a call from Ms ****** in late October asking if shades were in. I advised that the material had come in and I would let her know as soon as I was able to get them built. Our company, just like many local businesses here, has had employee issues. No one wants to work anymore. I just needed some down time to build the products. I provided the 11 roller shades and was still willing to produce the specialty shades (with total risk on my part since I refunded her deposit on the specialty shades). Now she's bad-mouthing me on social media and now reaching out to the BBB. I have been nothing but nice. I don't understand throwing me under the bus when she received her money back and I still am out the money from ordering the supplies for her products. I was still willing to produce the shades.
