    I was sold this timeshare under false pretenses. The reason I want out is because I was led to believe things that weren't true. I have tried working with them to cancel, they are no help at all. I'm very unimpressed with this. Nothing they told me came out to be true. I've wasted a lot of money paying on something I've never used. And don't ever want to after all this.

    Dear Better Business Bureau,I am filing this complaint against Westgate Resorts due to their lack of communication and failure to address the status of my account closure. Despite my repeated efforts to follow up, I have yet to receive a clear response or confirmation regarding the release of my account.Approximately two years ago, I submitted all the necessary documents requested by Westgate to facilitate the termination of my account. Additionally, I paid the required dues to complete the process. At the time, I was assured that these steps would lead to the closure of my account.However, to this day, I have not received any confirmation or formal acknowledgment that my account has been successfully closed. I recently contacted Westgate again to inquire about the status, but unfortunately, my inquiries have gone unanswered.I am respectfully requesting assistance in resolving this matter. I would like Westgate to provide a clear and formal response regarding the status of my account closure and, if not completed, a detailed explanation of the next steps required to finalize the process.Thank you for your attention to this issue.     Westgate resort solicits people to come listen to a presentation about timeshare and purchasing it. They say that they have a $5000 drawing and they need your ** to enter you in it but they take the ** and actually run a soft credit report that people dont find out about because it doesnt go on their credit report. Theyre doing this without the persons knowledge.

    I was sold a timeshare under false pretenses. The reason I want out of this timeshare is because I was led to believe something I did not actually have. I was lied to by the sales team in ************, **. I never toured the property that was actually sold to me in *******, **. I spent months trying to resolve this with Westgate and even tried going through their Legacy Program and hired an attorney.This has just been a terrible experience all the way around. I want to be released from this timeshare and I am NOT asking for anything in return. Westgate may keep all monies I have already paid which includes: $1,709 down pmt/5 x $276.92 monthly pmts/$979 HOA fees - totaling $4,072.60.I have documented my story, made a video, canceled the automatic payments, sent in dispute letters to the 3 credit bureaus, sent cancellation letter to Westgate, and filed a Cease and Desist order. All which have been uploaded and has more details than what's here.
