Took my 06 f150 to ***** on recomendation and requested my transmission be rebuilt. After 5 day I was contacted and told my truck was ready. I thought this to be a very quick turnaround but didnt follow up. Bill was 2150 dollars with a 1yr guarantee. Another red flag. Day one and fault light and was shifting hard. Returned, they kept truck 3 days issue corrected. Then ignition locked and I looked and found the shifter cable wasnt strapped in place. Laid on exhaust until it burnt through. I bought and installed new one and saw leak. Conracted him and took it back. They never offered to pay for shifter cable and said leak was fixed. I returned 5 times in a year to no avail. I had a heart attack and spent 10 days in hospital as warranty ran out. After that I put another pan gasket on and didnt fix leak. Several months later I replaced ext housing. No fix, I averaged 2 qts a week for almost two years in fluid to the point I was pouring a quart a day in it. To the tune of about 2 thousand bucks spent keeping fluid in it. 125 for shifter cable 50 bucks in ******* 175 bucks for extension housing plus several vacation days lost to pointless repairs. Only to find an obscure crack in housing that appeared to be a result of improper rigging to lift with a chain and realizing he hadnt rebuilt my unit as requested but put a junkyard replacement in my truck acting as he rebuilt mine. End of story Im 2 yrs and 3 mts in and with his cost and what ive put into it. Im at over 5000 bucks in this transmission he most likely paid 500 for and lied to me abour rebuilding. Do not use garris transmission. Now im shopping another transmission and for a certified rebuilt unit minus any labor 1500 bucks. To say im furious is an understatement..
