    I agree. I started a warranty claim almost 2 weeks ago. Not only have I spent hours doing diagnostics on this L -10, but I am no closer to a resolution or honoring the warranty, then when
    I began. Also , have demanded a supervisor regional manager or someone above the tech I have been dealing with. I am still waiting. After reading this first review, I stopped. Exactly what I am experiencing right now. As of now- Eccotemp has no company integrity. I also feel I am not going to resolve this issue. So I'm stuck with almost $300.00 worth of unusable appliance.

    Eccotemp is truly the worst company a consumer can do business with. The spend 90% of their time and energy making up excuses why their product fails repeatedly. I spent months attempting to get the EL22 unit I purchased to work properly. What company requires the consumer to perform warranty service on a complex and hazardous appliance such as this?

    Notice in the long list of complaints 99% of the replies by Eccotemp are: 1st apologize for the trouble, then blame the customer for the product failure.

    Their warranty is useless, misleading and downright non-existent in most cases. Even when qualified professionals service the product, the company blames the consumer.

    Avoid purchasing their product at any time or place. You have been warned.

    I purchased a house with a new Eccotemp 45-HI outdoor tankless water heater installed. I started getting an E1 error and no hot water - ultimately had 2 different plumbers and the gas company out. The last plumber tried calling support while here in person, ready to fix the issue, and we were told it is by appt only. After about 10 emails between he and I, a terrible runaround and photos requested etc we got a time scheduled and he showed back up only to have no call for the first 15 minutes (I have to pay him for his time to stand around). He provided on the spot details to the tech requests, and sent photos as requested with gas readings from different areas. One tech told him it needed a new water line which had nothing to do with the fuel error and when called on it he said his computer froze and he had to call us back! We couldn't even stay on the line. Another person called back and after more talking through and wasting our time/money he said he would be sending a new flame sensor under warranty. When I asked for clarification he assured me an email would be sent detailing the situation. 24+ hours later no email, but they said they had emailed my plumber (??) They had not. Finally got an email back to me but calling me the plumbers name, stating that I would need to replace my perfectly fine gas line going into the machine before any "necessary" warranty parts would be sent to me. It was verified by both the plumber and SOCal Gas that the line was fine, to code and new, and the pressure into the unit was ideal. The pressure INSIDE the unit was too low. I have since been contacted by 3 different (?) customer service reps asking for the status of my new gas line, I assume because they want to close the ticket. I have sent 3 different pissed off responses informing them I won't be spending another dime on their awful product and complete lack of customer service or standing behind the product or their warranty. AWFUL experience with this company!

    Anyone else here feel like they've been getting the run-around with their customer service reps? We are still under warranty. Just send over a shipping label for this item to get repaired.

    Hot water is essential.
    Eccotemp product is broken > eccotemp needs photos of our set up > we send photos > eccotemp needs more photos.... what the hell, we need hot water
    We eventually order a whole new one, NOT FROM ECCOTEMP.
    May 2024. We're still under warranty. Our new water heater has been set up and functional.
    Rep says..need more photos of your set up..
    Just send the return label to get these faulty products fixed.

    I would give a ZERO Star, if it were an option...
    I purchased two indoor natural gas ECCOTEMP systems over 2 years ago.
    They have never worked properly. No HOT water.
    Their suggestion required me to purchase over $1000 of their stupidly expensive venting, to no avail. Had to tear out, put Nevian in, works flawlessly.
    I am out over $4500 in labor and $2600 in thier parts.
    They won't even listen if purchased over 30d ago.

    This is our second on demand hot water heater from Eccotemp. The first one stopped working after about two years. We ordered another one from them (the updated model) and it stopped working properly after 1 month. My husband talked to them multiple times trying to troubleshoot why it’s not working. It basically won’t light if there is even the slightest breeze outside. Even though we are in our return window (90 days) Eccotemp is refusing to return or exchange the product because we did not keep the original box.

    Probably the most useless company I have delt with and I have delt with quite a few working in the home renovation sector, I have had constant problems with their tankless hot water heaters, tech support is crazy slow, product quality is low. I've had several parts just not work straight out of the box. Shipping and procesing times are extremely slow. Basically go with a name brand water heater that you can find parts for locally otherwise you will spend a lot of time without hot water in your house in the next couple years, I can guaruntee it. Pure Garbage.

    If I could give them a -0 I would my computer board went out and I ordered one and they sent the wrong one it's way bigger then the one that was in it and I called many times to get them to send me the right one and iam getting nowhere with them they have hung up on me a couple of times then they said they will get back to me but no one has this is a horrible company I would tell everyone buy a different brand
