Brought my mom to ER initially believing heart related or unknown. ER determined wasn’t heart so they believed neurological. I believed stomach or back. Finally they listened and checked stomach and found she was backed up. They sent her to 3rd floor gave enema and she seemed really good after that. Dinner came, she ate it and took her meds. At 8pm sugar was 132 I believe they said. Someone gave her insulin but I believe may have been twice and maybe a wrong dose. I say that because the hospital has always given her a sliding scale on insulin (1 unit for 200 or 2 etc). Never give her the long acting. Around 5am my moms sugar was 43 and her oxygen was 84. I don’t know how long she was like that because apparently nobody checked her. At some point tech check her vitals didn’t seem to notice that she was pouring sweat and all clammy. Around 5am nurse comes in and says “I don’t know if they told you, good news we fixed the problem she came in here for so after dialysis she is going home today “. Tech comes in moments later starts removing blankets and clothing. Says my mom was sweating and unresponsive. I sit up check her arm and blankets and she’s soaking wet with sweat I asked if they checked sugar and the answer was no. A nurse then checks to see and it’s 43 and the oxygen 84. They take her for brain scan I guess ti see if she had a stroke, not sure, but guess what??? She had a stroke. They down play it and make it sound like she came into hospital for something else. Says she was very ill (not that she was about to go home that day) and they also said maybe she had the stroke before she came into the hospital. So it gets better. Speech pathologist checks her the next day in ICU and she drank water, ate ice chips, ate apple sauce but he says she can’t swallow cause he doesn’t know if she is aspirating. Says he doesn’t have x ray vision. So from that day on she did not get to eat or drink. Now has tube. Been a week and she is very weak now

I became very sick the day before Thanksgiving and spoke to the RN at Blue Cross Blue Shield who advised me to get seen asap at the emergency room. I waited till I could get a ride which was thanksgiving morning.
I presented with hypertension elevated heart rate, nasal congestion, facial pain, migraine, ear aches, body pain, phlegm, ha sounds like a flu, but he'll I will never know because Dr Flax stated she didn't believe in testing for that or COVID so I asked her for the antiviral that the RN said I can get to help alleviate the symptoms, Dr Flax also stated that there is no proof that they work and she doesn't prescribe anything. Dr Flax then went on to ask why i came to the emergency room instead of calling my Dr, that there wasn't anything she could do, ugh, I just had stomach surgery and I'm coughing puking the pain in stomach was horrible. So I probably will now have complications due to her negligent behaviour. Well I thought her behavior was just geared towards me but nah I could hear the way she spoke to every other patient as well. Her arrogance and the disgusting tone she takes will make any human want to say forget it I'd rather go see a vet.
