The company started off doing what they said they were going to do. When the pool wasn’t being cleaned properly, excuses ranged from bad equipment to not feeling well and just able to put tons of Florine tablets in the skimmer. In spite of showing the owner actual pictures of a dirty pool after the cleaner left, a chemical balance report show zero state chemicals, and the deck not blown, the company’s partner wrote me a note saying I was harassing them and they would cancel my service and refund my
Money. The owner said he would drive up to my house on a Monday and look at the pool and bring my refund check. He asked if I could meet him. I took off work to meet him. He never showed and as of this day, i have not seen a refund. There was always things I was charged for that was not done and always the broken equipment as an excuse. Example includes blowing the deck. The technician yanked his electrical cord from my eiectrical outlet outside and caused the electricity to go off in several rooms if my house. I had this repaired. They told me I needed my sand changed and quoted me 3x the actual price of s sand change. My home shield company checked the equipment and changed the sand. The pool was still poorly cleaned by the technician. I was told that they never received any complaints since they have been in business. Which is hard to believe considering the technician uses the same faulty equipment on other people pool. The owner seems extremely busy trying to run a business with limited help and financial resources to buy workable equipment for employees. I will pursue my rights under the consumer rights law. I’ve yet to swim in my pool because the company did not clean it properly. The service started in March and now it’s the end of June. And asking for the service they promised was seen as harassment.

Unfortunately, what Ms. M****** here is addressing is completely incorrect with what actually occurred, and we are truly flabbergasted that it came to this with this Client.
Ms. M****** was a Client, and with our "No Nonsense" policy, we had to discontinue service to her and her pool. We have never come across a situation as such, where a Client is so hostile towards us. As the Chief Operating Officer, I was and still am floored, at this situation. After Ms. M****** refused to be compliant and considerable to our technician and our team, we had no choice but to discontinue service because we as a company do not put up with harassment towards anyone on our team. She constantly questioned our technician, took a water sample to be tested unbeknownst to us, and questioned the brand of chemicals we use amongst other things. With everyone's combined pool knowledge, plus certifications, we only ever tried to help Ms. M****** with her pool and the issues she was having with it. My final email to Ms. M****** as quoted:
"Your complaint has been brought to my attention, and unfortunately, we will be discontinuing our services to you as of 06/24/23.
Our Owner, Hosea, spoke with you over the phone a little over a few hours ago informing you that he would make a special trip to the Upstate to assess the issues that are ongoing for you on Monday. I am not sure what changed from the time he spoke to you, to now.
Your technician, and our entire team at Soda City Pools and Spas, has been in contact with you every time you have inquired about an issue. We have written correspondence each time we have been in communication with you. We are shocked honestly becuase we have never had an issue with a Client like this until now. We have never had a Client question the brand of chemicals we use, nor question our ability to assess an issue. We are licensed pool professionals and will be treated as such.
The issue with your pool is not the technician, but rather the issue this week was from the storm that hit the Upstate. It is impossible for a pool to be crystal clear during a storm, and impossible for our technicians to perform their duties during a storm. Unfortunately, that is an unrealistic expectation to have a spotless pool in a storm. Our technician went to your residence on Friday, in the storm, to do what he could, and that was a chemical check.
I do not put up with harassment to my team. And I do not put up with Clients who refuse to see the situation from the other side. We always go above and beyond for each and every one of our Clients, but we cannot do this when the Client is hostile towards us."
Ms. M****** then turned around and said that we did not call her, but our owner, after Ms. M****** stated as such, still proceeded to make a special trip to her residence to assess the issue one last time. After we had visited her residence and said we would continue to work with her, she then turned around and submitted this review that same day.
We were made known that Ms. M****** had a medical issue that prevented her from remembering things, but unfortunately, we cannot continue to put up with harassment and the potential of a Client posting a review as such when we have, in our power, done everything to help her situation.
It was unfortunate, and we have never seen anything like this situation with any other Client that we have.
