I contacted Contribute for a ***** we did all the paper work we got approved they sent the 80k check to church hill mortgage before the check was sent to contacted church for loss mitigation Churchill kept giving us the run around and was denying us . Once they got that check for mortgage relief they hurried rushed us to signing the loss mitigation form and because they rushed us they didnt even take off our liens on our home which is also apart of going thru loss mitigation. (I have the attachments of them saying they returned ****** back to the ***** company that we could've used) They need to be investigated of all these illegal underhanded things.Contribute sent the check back even the the money was to be used for any reason regarding our mortgage loan . The mortgage relief even tried to contact church hill mortgage to resend the check but church hill mortgage made it darn near impossible to get in touch with . They basically did an wrong loss mitigation because they didnt even take off the liens. I got served with papers that they will be selling the house, all this would not have been done if they accepted the ****** *****. they caused alot of hardship that could have been rectified. and i wouldn't have to go through bankruptcy court. I uploaded our email correspondence, and mortgage statementBusiness Response

I started a mortgage credit approval process with Churchill in September of 2022. I received a Pre-Approval letter and I started searching for a property. I then agreed to Churchill's recommended to do a Certified Approval with them so that when I do find a property my closing would be done in less than the customary 45 days.During the process the loan officer was changed without any communication and I was informed by the new loan officer that I needed to provide proof of no HOA in existence on the property, per their Underwriter. My current property does not have an HOA and it never has. I did all the research that I needed and sent them countless doc's trying to comply that I do not have an HOA, with no success. My mortgage loan was denied due to credit, with no conversation nor further explanation. How do I relay on a mortgage company and their process if they do not communicate with me and simply turn me down when things are not easy for them. Who do I turn to now for help? Am I really not eligible to buy another property? How do I move forward? My credit scores have been impacted by the pulling of their reports yet I am unable to secure a new property and I have no guidance nor information. I have been left clueless and I do not appreciate being treated as an insignificant or uneducated consumer.Business Response

We have discussed this issue with the loan officer and processor. Many attempts were made to resolve the issue of whether *************** were due on the borrowers primary residence. A closing disclosure from the purchase of that property indicated *************** were present. Online searches also reflected *************** applied. Multiple individuals were contacted, including contacts provided by the borrower to determine that *************** were not applicable. None of the contacts were able to provide documentation indicating there were not dues applicable.
The ultimate reason for the denial is due to a high debt to income ratio although the loan presented other risk issues. The loan officer attempted to contact the borrower to discuss this but got voicemail and left a message. The borrower called back and left a very angry message. The loan officer did not attempt to contact the borrower again.
We regret how difficult this process has been for our customer. We recognize that further follow up with the borrower should have occurred and we apologize for this. Any impacts on credit score should be resolved as the inquiries will drop off the credit report.
We are sorry that we were unable to offer you financing at this time..
Sincerely,
