Theres no way shes in meeting for 2 weeks. It seems because im a young african american women thats the problem. I also could provide a co signer and shes still not responding to any calls made by the Co-signer . I am asking for a refund for failure to communicate and provide adequate understanding from potential residents. This site is very unprofessional in returning calls or explanations.

I have and still own a number of condominiums at Signal View. I the past two years I have been selling the units because management and staff are completely unable to resolve issues which prevent the sale of my units. The last three units I have attempted to sell have met significant road blocks from management. They require owners and agents to wait thirty days prior to lease expiration to show their unit. In addition, they require that a 48 hour notice be given to the resident prior to a showing. Both reasonable. When an agent calls the Signal View office to arrange an appointment they are told "we are not scheduling appointments" or "the manager is the only one that can approve appointment scheduling". When agents call the manager to get approval no one picks up the call. If an agent leaves a message on voice mail, it is not answered or ignored. In a recent case an agent tried to made an appointment through the office, showed up at the appointed time with a client, and was refuse a key to enter and show the unit. The agent made a second appointment and again when the agent and client went to the office they were refuse a key. The client refused to attend further showings. I have called repeatedly to speak with the manger, left messages, let voice mails and I get no response. Signal View has a policy to refusing to allow agents to place a key box of the door of units for sale. This action or inaction on the part of the Signal View staff is hindering, or in one case, preventing the sale of my units. My only recourse has been to wait until the residents lease expires in order to do showings. That action gets me an additional monthly HOA fee charge. I have been in the process of selling all my holding at Signal View for some time. I have spoken with other owners about the problem, spoken with the Board of Directors, spoken with the manage and her staff, and nothing seems to resolve problems.

    Business Response

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing on behalf of Signal View Homeowners Association (HOA) in response to the recent complaints lodged by one of our unit owners. At Signal View, we take pride in delivering exceptional customer service to all our residents and owners. Our primary focus is to foster open communication, adhere to governing documents, and maintain a harmonious living environment for all our community members.

First and foremost, we value the importance of communication and promptly address all inquiries and concerns from our residents and owners. Our commitment to timely responses extends to both phone calls and emails. We understand that effective communication is vital in maintaining a positive relationship with our community members.

Regarding showings, we wish to emphasize that the right to deny showings is explicitly granted to residents and lessees of managed units, as per the Lease Agreement and applicable law. We work diligently to strike a balance between accommodating the needs of both owners and residents while ensuring strict compliance with legal binding contracts.

To mitigate any inconvenience to lessees, we require a 48-hour notice, equivalent to two business days, before scheduling any showings. This policy is in place to respect the privacy and comfort of our residents, as we acknowledge that their units are their homes. We can confirm that our Property Manager diligently coordinates with Realtors during office hours, before and after office hours, and even on weekends to meet showing requests.

Furthermore, we strictly adhere to the governing documents, including the Master Deed and rules adopted by our esteemed Board of Directors. Our Property Manager does not possess the authority to abrogate any HOA rules, and all actions are taken in accordance with the established guidelines.

Regarding the complainant's assertions about attempting to resolve the issue, we have no record of him requesting to bring his grievance before the board during regular board meetings. The appropriate avenue for voicing concerns is through the member meeting agenda, where the board can take necessary and appropriate actions under the governing documents.

As a responsible HOA, we encourage all members to utilize the proper channels for voicing grievances. The board is dedicated to resolving any valid concerns in a fair and transparent manner. We always strive to foster a positive and harmonious community environment, and this includes encouraging open discussions during board meetings.

In conclusion, Signal View HOA remains committed to delivering excellent service to all our residents and owners. We appreciate your assistance in addressing the complaints raised by the unit owner and trust that our response clarifies the situation at hand. Should you require any further information or clarification, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to provide a thriving community at Signal View.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
I had a conversation with the condo manager, and was frankly very surprised that she said she had no record of my phone calls.  In fact she recently called and asked if I had been trying to get in touch with her.  I will admit that we had a heated exchange at that point.  She is well aware that I have called Signal View out on several occasions for not answering phone calls, messages, emails and texts.  It was at least a three week  wait to even hear from her.  Since that call the manager has been very cooperative and pleasant. That being said, I have my last condo under a sales contract.  To pursue this issue further would be counter productive.  I wish Signal View the best, however the other owners in the complex will have a long row to hoe to get the same cooperation.  Thank you for your assistance.

    Sincerely,

    **** *****
