On 7/23/22 I purchased a car at Mtn. View Ford Lincoln. On 8/8/22 I called the bank I was financed with to ask about my up coming payment due on 8/22/22. The bank informed me I didn’t have a loan with them to call the dealer. I called the dealer and spoke to a guy in the finance department, he assured me I had a loan through that bank and a payment is due on 8/22/22.. He even chuckled saying “you wouldn’t have been in a car this long (16 days) you didn’t have financed.”
On 8/11 I get a call from the salesman J. G***** giving me a 800#, option 2, and a ref. # to finish the final steps with the bank. On 8/12 J. G***** calls to ask me to come in and sign additional papers because that bank loan fell through. Day 20 now in a car that wasn’t financed. The next day I took the car back and respectfully declined a new agreement. T. Fikes, the finance lady ask me if I was sure this is what I wanted and let me know she could get me in the car. Again I respectfully declined and apologized for the time spent. She told me my deposit would be in the mail and ask me if I need a ride home. Then J. G***** walked up and ask me to come outside where he took me for a ride in the car 1 last time. He wanted to make sure I knew what I was leaving behind… after all it’s been your car this long he said. When we came back he ask me if I needed a ride. I apologize to him also for wasting his time and let him know it was not my intentions, but that this whole situation didn’t feel right anymore. He said to me “it’s fine as long as you bring back your business when your ready to buy.”
I left the car at the dealer on 8/13/22
On 8/18/22 I get a email from another bank congratulating me on my car loan. On 8/22 the original due date I receive a bill in the mail from a different bank with the exact due date.
Mtn. View Ford Lincoln went through with financing a car they agreed to take back after I left.

We called ******** to have her come re-sign with a different
bank when the loan didn’t fund with Wells Fargo. At that time, she stated that,
although she wanted the car, her father who was co-signing refused to
re-sign. We offered to try to do it in just her name, which she declined. She
still stated that she wanted the car but was returning it since we couldn’t do
the original loan. We proceeded to get the contract funded through a different
bank, Ally, by re-assigning the contract to them with the exact same terms she
had signed up on. Once we notified her that we were able to get the original
contract funded through Ally, she started saying that she didn’t want the car
at all. When she signed the contracts, she signed a Conditional Delivery
Agreement stating that she was taking possession of a vehicle prior to approval
from financial institution and agreeing to purchase the vehicle at the price
agreed upon on the financing contract and that she was authorizing the dealer
to place the contract with the lender of their choosing. Furthermore, on the
contract itself it states the following: State law does not provide for a
“cooling off” or cancellation period for this sale. You cannot cancel this
contract simply because you change your mind.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

1st I'd like to start out with saying.... I'm very grateful I recieved a missed call on 8/6 by Mr. Logan W*****. God is good!!

Mtn. View Ford Lincoln decided to unwind the deal!! They wrote a $6500 check and mailed it on 8/6 as he stated he would for the down payment I made.  It arrived in the mail just 2 days later.

But you see it's not really over, not yet. Even yesterday I recieved a past due bill from Ally Auto. It was over $1400 with late charges. I KNOW I DO NOT OWE THIS BILL but It's unbelievable at the mail I've received and still do daily. I was in such a hurry to call the missed number back I failed to listen to the VM from Mr. W*****. He stated he was tired of hearing and seeing this. That he's decided to unwind this deal because obviously I didn't want this car. I realized HE was the guy that called me after I walked away from the deal on 8/13 telling me he should have already gotten involved. He is the guy I explained to that my Dad was no longer going to co-sign. He was the guy I called when the salesman threatened to delivery the car. HE"S the guy that ask me to " TRY TELLING THE TRUTH Which is it... I said we can get you in the car without your Dad and now your still saying NO"

THE ONLY reason they decided to unwind this deal is because of all my prayers. I had faith in the Lord that he was going to work this out. WHO does things like this in the beginning?  I apoligized for wasting their time and politely walked away from the deal on 8/12. My credit score which was'nt the best but was'nt bad either has went down 95 points since 8/12. I've lost time on my job and lots of sleep dealing with something that did not have to happen. I've made tons of phone calls/emails. I think about ALLY auto too, how they financed a car on 8/12 (I left at the dealer on 8/13) with paper work from 7/23 with the original bank crossed out?

If I hadn't done my do diligence and hadn't had faith in what's right, I would be paying on a $42,000 car I walked away from.

An apology would have been great. They have yet to see their fault in all of this.

    Sincerely,

    ******** ******

Mtn View Ford did indeed unwind the transaction fully, as the customer requested and reported. The customer is no longer obligated to this car in any way. A phone call to the lienholder(s) they are concerned about will clarify and confirm that, if need be.
