Horrendous customer service. My new Nissan with less than 2500 miles broke down 9 hrs away from home. All dealerships were closed on a Sunday.in Chicago. My alternator was bad so I had to buy a $300 battery just to get back to the hotel. Spent 9.5 at the local dealership on Monday, had to miss my Step sons graduation at the base. Had to extend my stay miss a day of work, book a room and they want to only reimburse me $255. Nissan does not care about the consumer. They care about getting money for a subpar product. Once you buy from Nissan they do not back their promise whatsoever. You are on your own. Horrible way to treat customers. Nissan doesn't want to reimburse me for what I had to do to bandaid the situation for my family. Pathetic.

CVT WILL KEEP FAILING! Expect to pay $6,000 on repairs every time your transmission fails! Also note that a 2019 Sentra is only worth $4,000 in excellent condition. So if you financed it from a dealership you’ll definitely be upside down!!

I have a 23 Rogue. The button on the right side of steering wheel that says OK does not work. The issue obstruct things like reset the trip odometer, you can’t reset the oil change, tires rotations, and other maintenance. My local dealership in Merrillville, IN ordeeed the part for the steering wheel on Saturday, June 14, and it’s still not delivered to the dealership as of Wednesday, July 2. They claim it’s the back log. If this excuse is true, then the parts department of Nisan is to blame for the poor service on the warranty.

They did a mistake in changing oil in my car. They messed my car up and they don’t want to recognize that

My 2020 Nissan Leaf was in the shop for 8 months starting in October 2024 due to a failed EV battery. The vehicle was undriveable and I was not offered a loaner until after escalating to the regional manager — 7 months in.
Initially, the dealership attempted to replace individual modules, which took months due to backorders. When they arrived, the equipment needed to charge the modules was broken. They said they contacted the vendor, but it would take weeks to replace the equipment. No attempt was made to borrow tools from another dealer. This showed a disturbing lack of EV infrastructure and support.
In March 2025, they returned the car to me briefly — still broken. Only after I sent multiple emails expressing frustration was I finally offered a complimentary rental. The EV battery was eventually replaced in June 2025. Nearly 8 months of car payments, lost time, and alternate transportation came at my expense.
To make matters worse, my 2020 Leaf has an open recall related to DC fast charging. I asked whether it was connected to my battery issue and was told it likely wasn’t — but that I still shouldn't fast charge and that there’s no ETA for a fix. Between that and the outdated CHAdeMO port, the Leaf is effectively cut off from modern EV infrastructure.
I do want to acknowledge that my service tech, ******, was professional and kind throughout. But the overall handling by Nissan and the dealership left me with no trust in the company. I will be trading in the vehicle and won’t be returning to the Nissan brand.
This experience is a cautionary tale. EVs are only as reliable as the support network behind them — and Nissan failed to deliver.

Nissan usa is putting defective parts in their vehicles! It's time for a protest!!! Nissan of Clearwater has lied to me about checking my car, and have cost me money! I have had to take my car to another dealership to get it repaired. I had to take my car to lokey Nissan two years ago to get my throttle body replaced, because Nissan of Clearwater couldn't find the problem why the engine light kept coming on. February of 2025 I went to get a oil change, and they said that my brakes was good. I went back in May to have my brakes checked, because I was hearing noises. They said that I was riding on metal to metal. My brakes was bad when I went in there in February, but they lied and said they was good. I went last year around June to have my ac checked, they said I was low on refrigerant. They lied! On June 2, 2025 I took my car to lokey Nissan to have my ac checked because it was doing the same thing it was doing last year. Lokey found out that my evaporator core is leaking. Nissan of Clearwater should have told me that last year. That throttle body and evaporator core went bad fast. They should have lasted longer then. That throttle body last 3 years, evaporator core lasted 5 years. Those parts was no good! This is my mother car, and she is 79 years old. I had to give her the bad news that, it will take $3480 to fix her car ac. She can't believe it. Last year if Nissan of Clearwater would have told use this, we might could have got it fix. Can't afford it now.

Bought a brand new 2023 Nissan Rogue 2 years ago. Since having it I have needed to put a new oil pan in it and now it needs a new engine and turbo.
Went through the steps to work with Nissan corporate to see if they would do anything to assist in some way. After their review they decided they will not help in any way. It will cost $10,000 to fix.
Just know if you do buy a new Nissan their engines could go out in the first 2 years of ownership and cost is about $10,000 to replace.

I wish I could leave 0. WORST service ever and it's criminal. We leased a car with Nissan, NEW, two months before we turn it in, battery goes out, Nissan can't tow it, we have to pay for a tow. When we go to turn in our car, the guy doesn't ask us how anything is, rudely gets the key walks away comes back and says bye. Then we get our fist bill that says late. Agency calls us and we told her we disagreed with some of the charges and she said they'd call us, six months later no calls or letter again. I have been trying to reach someone at nissan via chat, phone, text, email for TWO MONTHS, I finally get a hold of the right person and they tell me tough luck on your bad experience we don't have record of your experience...mind you...no one asked me and I literally have been screaming it from the rooftops via chat and phone and reviews...then all they could offer me was a 40% settlement...that would ruin my credit score. And said they'll make note of my experience to which I asked is anyone going to call me to discuss it? and he said no but you can call them. So we had a broken car, no one asked about it, a large ** bill that we aren't even able to refute, and someone still telling me I will not be listened to as a customer. WORST lease and car rental experience ever. Zero customer service, zero care for your opinion, just money grabbing.

After having accelerator issues with my Nissan rogue 2023 I attempted to take my car in four times for the same problem. I then got in contact with Nissan consumer affairs. They made me feel so positive at first they gave me my second call back and said they found nothing wrong to be with my car. I asked the lady I said is Nissan OK that my acceleration keeps getting stuck and that my family could possibly be killed. She said all you can do is go take it back to the dealership again and get a paper trail. It doesn’t matter how many times you take your car into Nissan they will consistently keep gaslighting you. They also had to change my motor mounts within 10,000 miles. Nissan is failing their customers and it’s really sad. They don’t value them either. I traded the car at 10,100 miles. I feel bad for the next person that gets that vehicle. I did let the dealership know the current issues. It’s heartbreaking how bad my family was done and not cared for and how they completely avoided the lemon laws. Don’t waste your time with Nissian consumer affairs. They are a joke!

As I look thru the plethora of 1 star reviews all of which say either I wish I could make it zero stars or will never buy Nissan again I realize this is nothing more than the place Nissan sends people they have ******* over, for people to vent and hopefully move on. I would like to add to that I guess on both counts will never buy Nissan again wish I could select zero stars. Bought 2025 kicks nice car was happy till I hit a out 800 miles total on the car. When that happened I had a serious loss of power no warning lights just power loss, had vehicle looked at by dealer sensor in engine was bad. Ok crap happens I get it. I am without my car for 9 days while they fix the issue. I get my car back and 2 days later yes you ready that right 2 days later I have the same issue. This time however I get 4 different warning lights and 2 warning messages. Take to dealer guess what exact same part needs replaced again. At this point I am afraid to even drive the car for fear of being stranded along side the road. Nissan response sorry out bad nothing we can do have a nice day.
