Re: TruGreen - Damage to Lawn Customer # ********** Branch# ****. Payment $420.01 date 10/16/2021 To Whom It May ********* am writing to submit a complaint about TruGreen. Recently, a representative of TruGreen came to treat our back and front lawns because we continued to have issues with weeds, despite prior treatments by TruGreen. The treatment applied by TruGreen this time around burned our lawn and killed the grass. I have attached pictures of the lawn here. As a lawn care company that prides itself on creating beautiful lawns, it is completely unacceptable to allow my lawn to be damaged like this and remain this way. I continue to ask TruGreen to rectify the damage done to our backyard as soon as possible, but they have not followed **.I am displeased with the service I have received and formally submit this complaint. A member of the local management team evaluated the property, and told the customer we would do an aeration and seeding at no charge in the back yard to help the lawn recover. This aeration and seeding was completed on Friday. A member of the ************** Team spoke with the customer today, and he was satisfied with the seeding that was completed. The ************** team will follow up with the customer in a few weeks to make sure the lawn continues to improve.Initial Complaint

TruGreen serviced my lawn last weekend. I was told I would receive a call ahead so I could secure my pets prior to their service as the chemicals are dangerous to home pets. This did not happen. I was told I would receive an invoice and details of the service left on my door upon completion of the service. This did not happen. When I called customer service to complain, I was told I would receive an email with the invoice and details of service. This also did not happen. I was told I would receive a lawn analysis. This did not happen. I called customer service again and request a supervisor or manager, and explained that previous calls to customer service have not been effective. I have the video of the Trugreen employee coming to my house, posting a sign that he did the service, and then leaving without performing the service. I was home at the time and saw him out the windows. Calls to Trugreen **************** did nothing and they charged me for this service.Business Response

I have used TruGreen for a couple of years for the mosquito and tree service. This past season the service has become awful. Sloppy work, knocking over things in my yard and just stepping over it and leaving. The final straw was September 6, 2022, when they were doing the mosquito service, the worker slammed my privacy fence gate so hard he broke it. I was home and heard it, went outside to check and sure enough the gate was broken, and the guy was gone. I called customer service and let them know what happened and they said they would pass it on to a supervisor. I did receive a call back the next day and was told she was contacting and area supervisor and someone would be out. I heard nothing and called again Friday September 9th, 2022, in the afternoon and was told they were emailing the area supervisor. Again, I have heard nothing. Called again today, September 12, 2022, to be told they would cancel my service and forward my concerns to a general manager. In the meantime, I have a broken gate that I will have to pay to have repaired (my fence was replaced about 4 months ago, so it is not old) and to top it off it rained the afternoon of my mosquito treatment, and the mosquitos are worse than ever. It says in their advertisement if it rains, they will respray; yeah right! I would definitely steer clear of TruGreen, their services and customer service has definitely deteriorated. I would leave less than on star if I could.Business Response

I've had TruGreen since 2009 and for the past couple of years service is been problematic. Recently over the last month and half, they've burned my lawn in spots and maybe tried to correct with more fertilizer. Now I have spots and long lines of burn. My lawn is horrible. No one returns my calls, I have to wait on hold for long lengths of time ... always has an excuse.Business Response

We have used Leisure Lawn for several years, 10 plus years. Lately their Personal over *************** our green ball Ornamental Shrubs. Thus, we called their office in *******************. Their Manager ********************* planned and came down on our property and checked it out. He called us back and spoke with me and mentioned he would take care of it.Further he mentioned he would like me to get an estimate and call him back. Thus, i went to several places Home Dep, Lowes and Siebenthaler Nursery guoted $ ****** plus $ 80. for planting the 3 shrubs. i called and gave the information to his operator and asked her to follow up with me. Since now 3 months it a run around and no call back. I have talked to 3 different Secretaries. 1. Last November 2021 when my contract and last service was over from what I prepaid for to Trugreen, so I canceled my services. I kept getting notifications about someone coming out and I kept calling cancel. I finally deleted the app since I did not have services with them.2. Someone came out and sprayed anyway when no one was there to stop them. I believe this was February of 2022. 3. Since then I have called almost monthly to get this charge removed from my account and to stop receiving bills in the mail. I have been told multiple time that the charger has been removed or credited. 4. I have now received 2 collections letters for this issue. I have been dealing with this for 10 months now. Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.A representative from TruGreen contacted me and I formed me that the account was closed on September 2nd. I was also informed that I may receive collections letters for up to 30 days. If after 30 days I receive more letters or emails about this issue I will make another complaint.

On August 30 I canceled my treatments with them. They confirmed that the account was canceled and they would no longer be drafting any money from my checking account. On 811 2022 they drafted an amount of $82.95 of which they were only supposed to take out $27.47. I spoke with a young lady name ****** on that day at 3:17 PM and she stated that at $54.95 will be refunded to my account and it never was. I had to call my bank two weeks later to have them file a dispute to have that money issued back into my account. I noticed today when I checked my account that 912 they took out another $54.95. The account is closed and no treatments are long no longer being done and I dont understand why they would take money out of my account if the account is closed and I requested no more treatments. This company is nothing but these and I dont appreciate the fact that they are taking money out of my account when I have closed it. I will be contacting them at my bank to get my money issue back and I will not do any more business with this company at all they are thievesBusiness Response

TruGreen, yard destruction On 9/06/2022 at 8:49AM, *****************************, truck ID ***** came to service my yard (aeration and seeding **** sqft). TruGreen charged my card $153., for the aeration and seeding of front and back yard. The technician did not know how to operate the equipment and did significant damaged the front yard and drain spout. I called TruGreen that same day and made them aware of the damage. I also informed them that he only did the front yard and my card was charged for the complete job. I requested a refund and that someone from management come look at my yard to figure out how it would be repaired. Instead of a refund, on 9/8/22 they sent the same tech that damaged the front yard to now do the backyard. When I saw on camera they sent the same guy I rushed home and was able to stop him from doing the further damage to the backyard. When I asked him to stop and leave he hit the rear gate on the way out. I called several times and requested someone contact me. One of the representatives gave me a email address and I sent pictures but I dont know what happened after that. I have RING video of him ripping the machine through my front yard and when he came to do the backyard. I also have pictures and video of the damage. This company has been treating my yard for 3 years, the services they provided actually damaged my lawn. They would send someone out to look at my concerns, then recommend treatment to address, but all their efforts failed to improve the damage their treatments was causing. I finally requested to cancel their service, which they stated they had done, however, even after my hiring another company to service my lawn, this company is sending out technicians to service us. They have been asked multiple time to cease treatments yet they continue to treat over the new companies treatment, this has killed my lawn and will cost even more money to repair.
