Agreed to pay for 2 separate treatments to include: 1 - Lawn fertilization and weed control for $29.99 and 2 - ************ fertilization for $34.48 for total of $64.47 I was billed for an additional treatment for Chinch bug control for $50.96. This treatment was not discussed nor did I agree to it. I was provided an initial service agreement and the chinch bug treatment was left blank. I mailed a check for the 2 services ($64.47) but did not pay for the additional treatment. I specified this on the billing when I mailed the check for the $64.47, but they continue to harass me for the additional amount of $50.96 which is simply incorrect. It has now been turned over to a collection service, which I want corrected and reversed. This is an unethical business practice to slip in additional unwanted services, but to continue to bill and harass me for it is even worse. Documentation can be provided that demonstrates I did not sign or ask for this service they are billing me for. I will also add that this was a one time treatment to see how Tru Green could get our lawn back in shape. They used a nitrogen fertilizer even after ******** in the ************** office discussed with me that using a nitrogen based fertilizer was wrong given that I had a fungus at the time. It was a complete failure from the beginning and clearly poor communication among the employees/technicians.Business Response

I contacted Trugreen about my yard. I asked the representative to not send another tech out. I wanted a service manager to come out and walk the yard with me to see what could be done to correct the issues of grass not being as green as it should, brown patches all through yard and grass being brown at the roots. The service manager called me and I discussed my issues with him. He stated that he would come out the next day and if I did exactly what he instructed, my yard would look better. Well, the next day a tech comes to spray my yard! I then get a call from Trugreen stating that the service manager decided that sending out a tech to spray would be the solution I needed for my yard. She then precedes to educate me on how to maintain my yard. I was very angry during the conversation! She offered me an aeration treatment. If the service manager did not come to see the yard, how would you know I needed an aeration??? I have been a customer since 2010 and to get this type of service is unbelievable! I am shocked and deeply disappointed that by being a loyal customer, I am unable to get a service manager to come out! All I wanted was for a service manager to come out, call me to let me know when, and walk my yard to look at the issues. This is such a simple request! This is not brain surgery! This is my first complaint that I have had with Trugreen. Definitely, checking prices with other lawn companies!Business Response

I have been a TruGreen customer for 16 years. The service has continually deteriorated. They performed a service on 7/26/22. After two weeks, my yard was still covered in weeds. I requested a re-treatment which was scheduled for 8/17/22. Nobody came as scheduled. I called back and was told they would come on 8/22/22. Nobody came. I want my money back and/or the job finished.Business Response

Have *** charged for service I did not ordered or authorized. Called office waited ******************************************************************************* on hold then disconnected again. Called third time another day explaining that I do not live at the adress any more and do not need service there . Still my credit card was charged call 4 th time 30 min on hold finally I gives up and called credit card to stop payment . Now I receive mail from debt collector for 42 $. How can True Green generate false service orders then force people to pay for it. Its like me coming to neighbor house when he is not home and start doing yard work then demanding money for it. I have had TruGreen service for the past two years. This year I decided to discontinue service. I contacted ******** Services in March and told them I would not be extending my contract and had a witness when I made the call. In May I contacted them again when they notified me they were coming (via text) and told them the same thing. In early July I responded to an email about my experience and a few days later a representative called and asked why I canceled service, so I have had three separate verbal contacts with them and one written contact on their website. However, they continue to come and treat my lawn and then bill me for service. My neighbor is experiencing the same thing and has also told them she would not pay for any charges after she canceled her service. I would like TruGreen to stop billing me for services I did not authorize, but attempting to resolve this through ******** Service or the chat feature on their app is not working.Business Response

This problem has now came to a point where I believe that TRUGREEN ********* is a complete scam. Not only have they scammed me into believing their services but they are now showing up by texting me a few hours before they arrive. Even though I have called in many times with complaints about their chemical or techs burned our grass. We were told their general manager will be contacting us many times for the past few months weve been calling in to find out why we never received a call. Apparently customer service said theyve been putting in request and a manager will be contacting us. This all started on the first day they came out. They burned the grass on every visit even though I specifically spoke to the representative and said not to send anyone out on our property unless a manger calls and speak to us and come out to see whats going on and resolve this problem before they do anymore treatments. A manger came out for the first initial treatment and said they will take care of it. They tech that came out burnt the grass again. Then had their TRUGREEN techs texting me a few hours before they came out without a managers call and kept burning our grass. There are large areas where the grass was burned. . A tech also came out today. When I ask these techs what is the reason theyre here for, their response is, to spray the weed.but they end up burning the grass over and over again. I am now also beginning to feel like theyre trespassing and vandalizing our property deliberately because the problem has not been addressed but they keep showing up without discussing it. They had also over charged our account for services wed never asked for on the first bill, which was refunded. I am rejecting this response because:A few weeks ago someone by the name of ******************* showed up without calling, emailing or texting us letting us know he will be out to speak to me and take a look at the damages theyd cost. We looked out the door wanting to know who was it that was walking all over the property. I then went out and introduced myself after finding out *****************, a manager with one of his techs came out to look at the damages they cause. I walked him around the property and showed him the areas specifically where Trugreen applied their chemical application and burned the grass and never once did he said he thought it was damage caused from the heat, but he did insist he will seed and aerate those areas.Apparently theyre in denial and do not want to take responsibility for what they did.Also, What he did say that the manager who came out the very first time (they dont even have any record of a manager coming out) that he doesnt know what crab grass is and that he only specializes in trees and shrubs. This is a manger that came out to look after I called in many times in the beginning of first treatment saying I have crab grass. That manager came out and told me it is not crab grass or weed, that crab grass only comes out late July to August and that it was a different kind of grass.That grass (crabgrass) has now spread all over the lawn.After speaking to *****************, a few days later someone did showed up unexpectedly again, through a text message saying they are here. I was not at home so I could not see what they were doing and couldnt ask any questions or made sure the work was done.Few more days after that I received another message saying they are here, again, unexpectedly. I was home this time. The tech that was with ***************** came out and said he was there to treat the crab grass and fertilize the lawn. Seem like he did a great job I would think. He did what his manager told him to do. He then came and walked over to me and said theyd (*****************) had sent a tech out few days before but noticed he didnt plant the grass seeds in all the areas that were damaged and will send someone out in a day or so to do the job. We havent received a call, email or text since that day and no one havent showed up since that day. And like all the other times they came out to take care of the crab grass it is still there growing and still spreading all over the lawn.I am including some more photos as an example specifically of another area theyd treated sometime in July where there was some clover. This is an area I usually water everyday early mornings or late evenings. These photos is the area where theres damage from the application. One center, left and right. To the right and left you could see the difference of healthy grass and the area where theyd treated in the center. I agree that they need to fix what they did but theyre not cooperating. Complaint: 17751356Ive been contacted by TRUGREEN on many occasions but never fixed the problem since Id emailed to you and were just now finding out that theyd charged our account $58.17 on 8/30. They said they were coming out to fix the damages theyd caused and charged our account. This is fraudulent.Yesterday I received a call from a TRUGREEN rep telling me someone from TRUGREEN will be giving me a call to come out and look at the problem AGAIN like it is a new problem. (Theyre scamming us and charging our account). Yesterday I did received a call from someone by the name of ****, same manager ********************* said only specializes in trees and shrubs and doesnt know about grass). He said h*** be here to take a look at my lawn at 11 am. I never received an email or text notification saying hes here or will be here. Usually youll get a text or email to let you know who your technician is.This morning around 11a there was a very loud banging on the door and after coming out to introduced myself I realized it was the manager who came out before and said I didnt have crab grass. Same manger who I was told only specializes in trees and shrubs. He seem very angry and said he was there so I could show him. After walking over to where the crab grass had thin my lawn out he told me this is crab grass. He told me it want there when he came out initially but I have pictures to prove that its crab grass and it was there even before the first weed treatment (that never worked). He started yelling and shouting arguing that o do not have crab grass when he came out. I warned him that if he continues to yell about and argue then he would have to leave. He seem as if he came to argue and was very upset about something. Instead of solving the problem they created charged our account and sent the manager for trees and shrubs.DJ ******* sent someone out also to treat the weed (crab grass I believe) few weeks ago but the crab grass is still there even today. The manager that came out today said the season and winter will kill it. It dies in fall to winter and its impossible for it to be there in early spring. First he said it shows up around August. The other many photos I have shows it was there before they came out. Apparently now the product or application they applied it kills grass not crab grass only fall and *********************** crabgrass.They also came out aerated areas of our lawn, fertilizer, and we never told them to aerate or fertilized. This is what Dj Johnson said they would do to fixed the damages they caused and also seed the areas where the grass was burned.Before their services we didnt need to aerate the soil either. The damages they caused thinned the grass out severely in the areas where they applied the application. The lawn was in great condition and very healthy. After explaining to the person that came out today he continued yelling because I told him we had crab grass when he came out first time. I asked him to leave the property because it seem he came out to harass me instead. In the surveillance camera you could hear him yelling and shouting every time I began to speak.Like I said in the last email they do not want to take responsibility for what they did and charged our account for $58.17 after causing damages to the lawn. This is a scam and also fraud.

Date: aug 5, 2022 A true green notice on my lawn (I have pictures) states that my lawn was treated by the trugreen company. I am not a customer of theirs and never have been. I Need answers: what was sprayed, when, how and by whom? My garden is in the national Garden Conservancy list and has been organically managed for the past 30 years. The manager let the customer know the lawn was seeded with an 80/20 ******** blue/perennial rye seeding. Hello, I have had TruGreen service my Lawn for about 10 years now and the service has been poor for last 3 years this year it has been un-exceptable. We have been contacting trugreen for aproxamently one month calling texting as well as sending pictures of my dying and weed infested grass . The customer service rep would schedule a n apt to come out and no one from trugreen ever came out to treat the lawn . Finally I called and demanded to know why no one has been to the property to treat the grass and I was told that the apt were schedule but were cancelled by techs. We never ever received any calls or texts from trugreen stating they were unable to come out to treat . The rep could not give me a reason for the cancelations and escalated the issue to a manager. I waited 3 days no one called this started on August 12. After calling everyday speaking to a different rep from customer service and given different excuses and promises that someone would call or come bye I gave up and called Trugreen corporate office and spoke to a ***************************** . Was told that a manager would call me and she would call me back to make sure that happened and today is August 22 and no manager has called me . A service rep called my land line which I told them on several occasions not to call because my husband and my self work to call our cell phones I left my cell # with two reps and they still called my land line on Friday . I called again and demanded someone call me on Friday and that did not happen again . I want them to replant grass were the grass is dead . My husband and I have replanted grass the last 2 years because of dead spot I told them I am not doing it this year . I have already spent money on weed killer for my lawn because the weeds (spurge) was taking over my lawn those were the pictures we sent to trugreen I am hoping you can help me . I have had the tru green service for years and complained that they were killing my grass and trees. They kept coming here telling me they would try something different but always made it worse. I cancelled the service back in January and they have billed me for service after that which I did not receive. Now they have sent it to a collection agency. I am fed up I have called numerous times with someone saying a supervisor will get back to me and never does. In review of the customers inactive account, corporate customer care contacted the customer directly by email confirming the service manager *************************** went out to look the lawn and tree & shrubs for an analysis,confirming the last lawn treatment was on 03/23/2022 and a lot has happened agronomically and environmentally that will cause the lawn to decline, there was no chinch bug guarantee because the customer was not getting the insecticide for damaging insects, confirming the trees went through a hard freeze and according to the service manager in February 2022 the trees were alive, confirming the elm tree is over 20 feet tall which can not be controlled only able to fertilize them, therefore reimbursement can not be rendered for the tree, confirming the account has been cancelled/closed, confirming the amount of $149.40 has been waived from the account.Customer Answer

I have complained about the lawn for 2 years that they kept killing the sod I would lay down. They kept saying they would correct but only got worse. In regards to the trees they were green and luscious before they started the service I had the manager look at them months ago because they are brown from the stuff they sprayed and they have never been green again. I want my sod and trees replaced or I want a reimbursement

In November 2021, I cancelled my Trugreen Mosquito defense service. I logged into my account later and confirmed that my account was listed as inactive. In March 2022, a TruGreen employee came to my house without me requesting that services be resumed, treated my front yard briefly for mosquitos, did not attempt to enter my backyard or knock on my door to request access, and left an invoice for $91.96 on my door. I called Trugreen to request that the charge be removed since I had not requested the service, my account remained inactive (I logged in again to confirm), and the treatment was not even fully applied to my property. I was asked if I would be willing to pay half of the bill, and I declined. I thought the issue was resolved until this month, August, when I received mail from I.C. ********** informing me of an attempt to collect debt of $91.96 on behalf of TruGreen. I maintain that I should not be responsible for charges made to an inactive account, for services that were cancelled.
