TruGreen is harassing me for payments on service that I did not order or approve from them !TruGreen acquired / merged with UltraGreen lawn service in March 2022 based on a letter I had received from both companies. I immediately called TruGreen TWICE and notified them through their web site I DID NOT want their service right after receiving their letter.I did have ****************** starting in 2021. However, ****************** quality became really bad by the end of 2021. I had started a dispute complaint with UltraGreen in January 2022, I then cancelled their service and started new service with another company that I still have today.TruGreen needs to correct their records. Any further collection notices or attempts to collect money from me will be considered harassment. As a followup for you and other victims of the TruGreen acquisition of UltraGreen here in the ******* area - these companies need to have better management and fix the problems with the poor customer service. Just look at this latest example that I submitted to you. And what did TruGreen do ?? Did they read and understand my request NO !! They called me THREE times in a row this week Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and left THREE VMs. They also sent me THREE separate emails those same days !!! This is just pure HARASSMENT !!
I finally answered the phone on Thursday - the CS agent was polite - I asked if she had read my complaint in full - she had to read it while we were talking. I asked her what she or her company did not understand when I clearly stated in the complaint I did not want to be contacted and to just ZERO out any balance and close this whole case out !! What a waste of my time !!

On October 13, 2021 my husband entered into an agreement with TruGreen for various lawn services *********** Mosquito Defense, Tree and *****) and paid for the services in full. This complaint is in regards to the damaging of our five (5) of our Arborvitae ******. Technicians applied treatments that caused the ****** to die. I have been attempting to resolve this issue with TruGreen since April 16, 2022. I immediately canceled the Mosquito Defense and the Tree and ***** services when I noticed the ********. I have made numerous calls. A Technician came to my home to evaluate and take pictures, the Regional Manager has come to my home to evaluate. I have received various calls from TruGreen to assure me that they are working on the situation. I have been assured on many occasions that they will send a check to cover the replacement cost. We re-sodded our yard approximately 2 years ago. It looked beautiful and we had the nicest lawn in our subdivision. As we had used Tru Green in the past, we felt our yard could use some weed and feed. Tru Green came out through all of last year. Starting in January or February of this year, we noticed the grass was not coming back the way it should. By March of this year, most of the grass was dead. Tru Green would come out and we would tell the we didn’t want their service. I called Tru Green and they informed me that we had a balance of about $44 and until we made this payment Tru Green was not going to do anything for us. I told them I wasn’t paying them for killing my grass. I called back at a later date and the girl was very helpful and informed me she would have a Supervisor come out to look at it. No phone call. I called again and was told by a supervisor in their office she would have a manager or supervisor to call me. I was issued as a customer care number ******* *** along with an email stating that they called and left a message for me to call them. First of all, no one called and left a message. Secondly, I did call and was told someone would call me to set up an appt to come out and look at yard. Still no call
I have to look at this yard everyday and am very disappointed after thousands of dollars that we spent to re-sod our yard to only be destroyed by Tru GreenBusiness Response

**** *****Tru Green has been out and are taking steps to repair the yard. They have been very responsive to my complaint including the corporate level. All the work has not been completed as of this date and I am reluctant to sign off on this complaint. Once everything has been completed, I will be more than happy to do so.

We hired TruGreen to treat our weeds in May of 2022. After treatment, our plants started to die as well as our tree. I've called TruGreen several times to address the concern. We now have a dead tree, dead plants as well as an entire row of dead monkey grass. We have photos, telephone contact dates as well as service dates documented. Our tree was full of life with green leaves in June and in July a dead tree with ***** leaves. Phone Call Dates = 5/6, 5/13, 5/18, 6/16, 6/17, 6/21, 7/5, 7/26, 7/27, 8/1. Service Dates: 5/17, 5/20, 6/16, 6/21, 6/23, 7/7. No manager has reached out to us and time is of the essence due to our HOA covenants. A resolve must occur. The tree and ***** needs to be removed and disposed of, plants replaced and a new tree planted.Business Response

I have been a TruGreen customer for 2 years now. I am aware that it may take a season to get the lawn under control however as we near the end of my second season my lawn is still riddled with ***** spots, crabgrass and nutsedge. In both years I have requested additional service to treat these weeds and you have sent a technician. Both years their service was ineffective and after approximately 21 days, the maximum amount of time you state your treatment will take to become effective, I treated the weeds myself which then died off within a week. Needless to say I have been on the fence about continuing to use your services.I am aware that in order for your services to be effective I need to water my lawn per your instructions. For the past 2 seasons I have watered 20 minutes per day in each zone as instructed by a representative of your company. On this date, 8/4/22 at 5:22 pm I received a phone call from a ***** *************) a representative of your company pitching the sale of aeration and overseeding. I advised him that I planned to do these services myself and told him my lawn is still filled with weeds and ***** spots after two years of trugree services. ***** immediately accused me of not caring for my lawn correctly. He then asked how often I was watering and I told him a total of one hour per day. ***** stated that was entirely too long and I corrected myself and advised him that I means 20 minutes per zone per morning which totals about an hour. The 20 minutes per zone was at the instruction of the representative I spoke with two seasons ago when I initially began utilizing Trugreens services. ***** then suggested that he was an expert, suggested 40 min per zone per day, and that the instructions I previously received from a TruGreen representative were incorrect. I advised ***** that I questioned the effectiveness of the treatments and also the difference in watering instruction. ***** became angry and hung up the phone with me.Business Response

I have used Trugreen for any number of years. I live in ******* in the winter months and this year there was an issue with the mail forwarding and I was late in receiving my Trugreen bills. When I realized I had a delinquent balance I phoned and spoke with ***************************** on 6/17/22. I asked if I could pay for the season and save the 5%. She said the account was locked, but that she would discount the balance due on the remaining 2 treatments by 5%, I could pay those, that the account would be unlocked within a couple of days and that she would contact me to pay the remaining balance from the previous 2 treatments. That did not happen. The amount I paid was applied to the past due balance. I have attached her email where she explained that it would happen the way I am explaining in this complaint. I emailed ********* asking her to call me on 2 more occasions in June and July. I wanted to speak to her because she was familiar with the circumstances and I was hoping she could fix the issues, apply the discount and allow me to pay the past due balance. Trugreen has never been the easiest to deal with from a customer service standpoint, but the lawn service itself was generally very good. ********* assured me that she would call me if I sent her an email and she has totally and completely ignored me since her initial correspondence and now I am getting calls from Trugreen that I am sure are collection calls, but when I answer there is nobody there. They then immediately call my other number. When I answer, again, there is nobody there. At this juncture, I would like to see Trugreen credit me the $125.24 and stop calling me. Had ********* done what she said she was going to do, the balance would have been handled and I would have remained a Trugreen customer.Business Response

A member of the ************** Team has been trying to reach this customer to discuss their billing concern. When a payment is processed, even if the intent is to prepay for future service, the system applies the payment to the open balance. We tried multiple times, but have been unable to reach this customer. I purchased ******************************* on Dec. 15, 2021. No information was shared with me about an existing contract with TruGreen. On May 24, 2022, TruGreen performed service on a remote area of my property. They did not alert me they were here or performing services. I did not even know any service was performed until I received a **** for $498.75. I called the number on the **** to dispute the charge and was told by a manager that the **** would be taken care of and I would receive no further services. The first week in July, 2022, I received another **** from TruGreen for services performed the last week of June. Again, the service staff never alerted me they were here nor that they were performing services. I called TruGreen again and was told if I did not pay $997.50 for both services, the account would go to collections. I paid this amount for fear of collections and was again told my account would be cancelled. I believe TruGreen did not act in the best interest of the customer, lied on the original conversation and continued to provide services to collect fee's from me that I as the new owner have not contracted for.Business Response

Truegreen performed a service to our lawn. They damaged the lawn pretty bad. I called and emailed the company using the correct chain, you can no longer call the local branch. The company will not return my call because they do not want to repair the damage to our lawn. They did make one attempt to call me, when I answered, they would not say anything and just hung up, I was able to her the person and background noise. The person would not say anything.. They logged into the computer they left a voicemail, which I did not have a voice mail. **************** with this company is at a all time low as they just do not care. Now we have a damaged lawn. Whoever came up with the outsourcing of handling customer request / complaints using the system to talk with a computer has lost their sense of customer service!Business Response

I paid $250.84 on 5/23. I subscribed to their service based on the sales pitch, if their services didn't achieve desired results, I could call for re-treatment as I was looking at competitors. That was a large expense for me but wanted professionals. The last visit, I used one of there lawn application signs placed at the center of my open gate, requesting they knock and if I didn't answer to call me with my number as I work from home. I wanted to discuss Areas not addressed. They did not do that and I don't think they even went to my backyard. I scheduled a follow visit for remediation. No show. Attached are pictures to show their results. I would like a full refund as I had bought products to take care of these issues before I hired them and now have to take of it myself.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I am disappointed by ****************** visit to treat my lawn and even more so with his response. Both showed no acknowledgment, respect or accountability for the poor service/customer service I have experienced. I really can't even believe his response. I don't want to interact with ******************* going forward.
During his visit we walked around my lawn and I pointed out the many trouble areas. The yard was freshly mowed and defined my small lawn area. We discussed the small area in the front yard and the pervasive ivy on my neighbors lawn. I asked him if those weeds and their untreated area would affect my lawn results. He said it would not.The main problem in the front was the explosion of crab grass that I never experienced years before when I treated my own lawn. Edging areas around the perimeter of my house and along my driveway were not treated. He told me I would be "happy" with the treatment he provided. I was not. I gave it ample time and did not see any improvement in the ivy in my backyard. With no confidence I bought some lawn and weed treatment and spent a couple hours digging up weeds around my front garden areas and treating additional weeds. I would like to be reimbursed the $25 I spent on Roundup and $25 for the additional work, time and effort I have spent in resolution.
In addition, I would like a follow up visit in an appropriate, designated date to check on the progress of the crab grass and ivy and treated if the weed issue has not been resolved.

Trugreen **********,DE has been treat *** my lawn for and plants since May 1, 2022, and Ive complained every month sometimes twice when they told me that I would get rid of the weeds in 1-2 weeks. The weeds have never disappeared, there more of a certain type every month. Half my yard is full of weeds and they always nice and promise to take down info. and noth*** happens. They make appts then change them, and never know when they are really com*** so I can talk someone. Its always a different person and they want you to rate that persons work, when you dont know if they got rid of the weeds when they left yet? When you go in to rate them after 10 -15 days, they block you from rat*** them.Crabgrass has taken over my yard and gardens. I had less weeds beforehand. The neighbors all have clean yards and Ive paid TruGreen for the year. Trugreen came down while I wasnt home August 2022 and told me on my **** that the August treatment was free. They fertilized the weedy lawn? I was so mad after talk*** to them before hand endlessly about the weeds and how the weed treatments just dont work. The TruGreen Rep. (nice always) says we will give you a free soil analysis to see why your weeds wont disappear. ?? Its Thursday now, no word yet.I was offered a package that included free plantcare for the same amount I would have paid for the lawn care and plantcare. If I quit I have to pay out of pocket for both at the original prices.It just gets worse and worse, the summer is almost over and my yard is full of crabgrass and you need a strong weed killer to get rid of it or it will take over the whole lawn. Our service is a process, and it can take several months to see the desired results. The customer stated they were led to believe they would see more immediate results. *********** was canceled at the customer's request, and we are in the process of refunding the remainder of their prepayment.
