      TruGreen has erroneously treated my lawn twice in the past 8 weeks. I am NOT their customer. I have my own lawn company. I confronted the technician both times (after I noticed he was outside spreading chemicals on my yard) and was told they meant to treat their customer 2 doors down the street and that they stopped at by house by accident. I have called the local office repeatedly only to be auto routed to a call center. Each time I call, the customer service rep has promised that someone from the local office will contact me. On 7/26/22 I was informed during a call to this line that an email was being sent by the customer service representative to the branch manager for immediate response. No one has called me or responded in any way. TruGreen has severely burned my lawn (I have multiple photos of the damage). I have consulted my own lawn company who informs me that this damage is severe and will require re-sodding. I have emailed TruGreen twice, called, posted on ******* and on my neighborhood ******** page seeking a name from the company to respond to this serious situation. I have exhausted all means of reaching out to them. I drove to their office today to speak with someone in person and the door is locked during business hours. I spoke with a young man exiting a side door and explained that I would like to speak to the manager. He went inside to get the mgr (**** was his name per this employee), and came back to tell me he wasnt there. I provided him my name and phone number and asked that he tell the manager to call me immediately. I am afraid that this continued pattern of trespassing and damaging my property will not stop as long as no one from TruGreen responds or acknowledges this egregious error. Please advise what options I have to keep TruGreen off my property and also for them to pay for the damage they have caused. Again, I am NOT a TruGreen customer, and do not want this careless, damaging behavior to continue on my property.

      A member of the local management team has been in touch with *****************.  She had another landscaper evaluate the lawn, and they think given time the large spots that died will recover.  Her lawn care company already advised her that the smaller stripes will also recover given time.  At this time, she does not want to have the lawn resodded.  She does want in writing what we can do to try and prevent her property from being treated by mistake going forward.  A member of the ************** team let her know we would continue to follow up with her over the next couple of months to check on the recovery of the properety.

      TruGreen is supposed to notify when there are problems with my lawn. I told them that I have many big circular holes in my yard where grass will not grow. (Note: TruGreen should be notifying me of this -- but they have not). So I have been unsuccessfully trying to get through to them to ask them to please advise if need to water more, or if I am watering too much, or if it is a fungus that needs to be treated, etc. I cannot get TruGreen to respond, which is why I am writing this complaint -- in hope that they will call me at ************; *******************************; I am paying for a service that I am not receiving.

      On 7/25/22, we had a fertilizer service done on our property and the agent used granular fertilizer and got it all over our pool pavers/and steps to ********** and destroyed the pavers/steps as they are stained black with fertilizer residue. We asked trugreen during the sales call not to use granular fertilizer on our property as our previous fertilizer company used granular fertilizer and destroyed our pool pavers. We have brand new pavers that were just installed over the last few weeks from the damage done by the previous company. We have attempted to call tru green customer service as well as corporate office 7x today with no help. We are looking to have someone come out and assess the damage and make the appropriate repairs to our brand new pool deck and cabana. The sooner this happens, the easier the repair will be. There are approximately 200 pavers that are damaged all over the property along side the shrubs that were treated with the fertilizer. Customer #**********, ***********************,

      The local management team visited the customer's property to investigate the concern of possible damage due to our products.  Due to the location of the stain and the products applied by the technician, the local management team determined the staining on the patio was not due to the service done by Trugreen.  We have told the customer we will not be paying for any clean up or replacing any of the marble.  This customer's service with ********************** have been canceled, and we are in the process of refunding them for their services.

      I am rejecting this response because: The staining on our pavers is surely fertilizer stains, as agreed upon by the operations manager that was here to inspect the property. No one else was on our property managing any of the shrubs or greenery other than tru green. They of course will not admit that this is their fault, but there is no other explanation as our brand new pavers were only put down on our property one week prior to this happening. I don't have any evidence but neither do they. It is my word against theirs. We would like a formal document indicating the status of our complaint.

      Also, they dropped us as clients without even notifying us prior. That's just bad customer service.

      After a thorough investigation of this claim with the assistance of our Claims and ****************** TruGreen stands by its previous response and respectfully denies this claim.  TruGreen treated ***************** lawn using a liquid product on 7/25/22.  TruGreen did not use any ***************** on ****************** lawn.  The application record created at the time of the application and kept in the normal course of business supports the assertions of our lawn specialist who performed the liquid application.  We noticed that most of the staining is situated in areas behind landscaping plants and well out of range of any lawn application, liquid or granular.  ****************** stated that No one else was on our property managing any of the shrubs or greenery other than tru green.  However, TruGreen had not provided any tree/shrub applications since ****************** installed the new pavers.  The only application was the liquid lawn application on 7/25/22.  TruGreen does not know with any certainty what the staining is or what caused the staining, but is confident that it was not from the liquid lawn application on 7/25/22.

      I signed up for Trugreen in May after my first application I was told that they couldnt put in plugs it was to late in the year. I did have a few bare spots in me yard and minimal weeds but I wanted our lawn to be healthier since we do have 2 animals. After the first application they didn't spray part of the yard, I had to call and have them spray again. They then sent a man named Rob I believe to my home to look at the results. He told me I needed to sign up for tree care so that is another 3 treatments at almost ****** dollars. He says he is going to have someone come out and spray the yard again because there are weeds that look like they were missed, 3 days later they come to do my trees everything seems fine until they come again. My Cherry tree that was full of Cherries is sprayed the 2nd time and now all of the cherries have dried up and are no good. As well as a branch of the tree the leaves are commpletely dead! This has been a healthy tree since I bought my home 3 years ago and never had any issues. So not only did they destroy all the cherries on my tree which you usually pick and use through the year they also have made my yard WORSE!!!!! The rag week in my back yard has now taken over a whole side of my yard, the bare spots have doubled in size and the yard looks awful! I called and complained again about the service and I was told someone would be out by Monday. Friday I get a text telling me that they will be out that day and then later in the day get one that says they were unable to complete my service...... SHOCKER haven't heard from them at all today. I am so unsatisfied I want to cancel my service and I want a refund at this point I can use that money to help reseed my yard and make it look better on my own. This is a horrible service and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I could have went and bought stuff to hook up to the hose and it would have done better at keeping the weeds out of my yard.

      We paid seasonal for true green to service our lawn. Which mean fertilizer, and weed. They came out in the beginning of July they were at my house for 15 mins rode around on this buggy spraying everything. I called and said I know my weeds were not sprayed because it would take the tech longer than 15 mins. I was suppose to get a re-service within 5 days. 10 days later I called my re-service was canceled. They set another one **. ** that time my ground covering wss sprayed and is dead in some spots but the weeds right above it wss still not sprayed then I was informed by tru green They did not spray in june because it was to hot. So that explains why my weeds were so bad. I have called so many times to speak to a manager ir supervisor. They have to put a ticket in and I should get a call back with in 24 to 48 hours I still have not gotten a call back I asked for a manager to come to my house to see the poor job they did. And my weeds were not sprayed again and they killed some of my ground covering and I want them to replace it. Still have not heard from anyone. I call again because we got a text stating they were coming out to respray I said I dont want tru green on my property unless someone is home. They came anyway left notes on my paperwork that my grass is being mowed to short and they treated the weeds. All the weeds again were not treated. I called and said I told u this morning when I called abecause we got the text that someone was coming out that I didn't wsnt tru green on my property if no one was here they came anyway and then thry read Me tje notes that the tech wrote at the office and the noted said all weeds were sprayed and no ground covering is dead. I have pics. Still no call from a manager or supervisor at this time. And my ground covering is still sitting there dead.

      In review of the customers inactive account, TruGreen service manager ******************* has spoken with the customer and visited the customers home to do a property evakuation.He explained to the customer after his analysis that ********************** did not damage the ground coverings and based on the pictures the customer sent that is not herbicide damage it is blight causing the decline. The small spot in the ground cover is located next to the drive and that isnt an area we would be treating. When a plant is damaged by herbicide there is twisting and curling on the stems and leaves.
      The customer didnt agree with Mr. ****** response. TruGreen general manager ************************* stated that he is not authorizing any type of damage claim because TruGreen didnt cause the damage. The customers account has been cancelled and refunded.

      This is in reference to the same issues Ive had over the last 2-3 years with this company. I have filed, I believe, 2 complaints with BBB as this is the only way to get anything resolved with this company. In a nutshell, I am having the same issues. Company advertises to come out every 4-6 weeks. Here it is over 8 weeks and no one has come to service my grAss. I called the 800 and also logged in to my account only to be told and see with my own eyes that I wasnt even on the schedule. The lady that I talked to on the phone went ahead and scheduled a service for Wednesday. Although that its not with the technician I request, I need my grass to be serviced. It has become very frustrating that I prepay for my service at the beginning of every year only to find myself babysitting to make sure someone comes out and services my grass. Last year they waiting so long in between treatments that they werent able to do the 7th treatment, as it wouldve been in December. Whomever calls me, please figure out what compensation you are going to give me before calling. I have told corporate and anyone else I talk to I am not looking for credits and refunds, I just want tru green to service my grass in the time frame they advertise- every 4-6 weeks. But in the event Im having to try to resolve continuous issues, I will request to be compensated for my time and hassle of trying to rectify these ongoing issues.

      I canceled my account with Tru Green back in March. Today I was randomly charged for nothing. They havent serviced our lawn, we have a landscaper who is does this because try green ruined our lawn with dead patches in the front yard that wont go away. Also their customer service is terrible and no one seems to communicate with each other except through notes on the account which apparently no one looks at. I called and the woman on the phone who sounded half asleep said the account was supposed to be canceled in March (it says in the notes) but for some reason wasnt ever cancelled and they still had me listed on a route. She said she would make another note to cancel my account. Why cant they just cancel right then and there since no one seems to be following up on these notes and actually canceling? Im finding out they do this to tons of people (Ive found multiple complaints online about this) in order to keep charging you and dont ever fully cancel your account. This shouldnt be that hard. She kept trying to convince me to continue service at a discount but why would I ever want to do business with a company that wont even let you cancel and does the opposite of what they claim to do (destroys your lawn instead of helping it while overcharging you for it)? I want my account canceled and a full refund for the last charge.

      I have had numerous lawn treatments done by TruGreen to prevent weeds from coming up in my yard. The end results of their lack of knowledge when it comes to lawn care is shocking at the least. I now have half my yard full of weeds because they just added fertilizer and no weed control was done. They also don't ********** your whole yard, they just do parts of it. I have contacted the office numerous times and tried to find a resolution, but there is none. From what it looks like to me they treat it a certain way, then act like they're trying to get it under control, but its clear they are not spraying anything to kill the weeds. My guess is they will drag this out and convince you next year to get their business locked in and then they will likely start actually taking care of the issues. Its been 3 months now and my yard looks like a pasture because they have no idea what they're doing. All of the treatments but one, have been done the day of a major storm and its pointless, just wasting everyones time. I have tried to talk to corporate, and the branch manager, which is almost impossible. All they want you to do is talk to customer service and the managers refuse to talk to you. It's turned out to be a very unprofessional company and I don't know how they are labeled as the best lawncare service. In results of all this, I will now have to treat the lawn myself, and its so late in the year that all the weeds will die and leave brown spots in my yard. TruGreen will be lucky that I don't take them to court for what they have done to my yard. half of my yard is now weeds, literally. It looks terrible. I will need a full refund of all pre paid services and I will take my business elsewhere. I have asked twice now for a refund, and I have been refused the refund because they said they are coming to fix the yard. When they come back out, they only treat certain areas of the lawn. They are cheating us out of what we paid for.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      First off they lied to us and promised they could treat on saturdays because of our dogs being outside during the day. After they got us to sign up, then they back tracked and said they cannot treat on Saturdays. They also said the treatment for my yard was formulated for what my yard needed. After 5 treatments, I find out that the application mixture is the same for every yard on the trucks route. Therefor the company is not treating my yard for its needs. With weeds slowly starting to come up, they just hit it with fertilizer over and over and now the weeds are out of control taking over 50% of my yard, which I will be pursuing in court for damages. You cannot tell the customer that you will have a treatment plan for THEIR yard if youre only using the same mixture as every other yard. ************ just sprays whatever is in the truck, even if your yard doesnt need it. I had an area towards the road that I was trying to get new grass to grow, and I spent hundreds on seed, they burnt it all up with their fertilizer. I asked to back off the fertilizer and just focus on the weeds, and all they did was come back for another full strength application which was all fertilizer. Now my yard is full of weeds and a quarter of it is all burnt up because of their lack of knowledge on how to treat a yard. None of their technicians look over the yard before spraying, they just spray. And the manager refused to come out and take a look at my yard after I requested it 10 times or more. Now with all the damages, I will be going to court to seek the $5,000 in damages it is going to require to fix my yard back to its original state. As a company that size, you have to be more knowledgeable on how to care for a yard and they are not. They also do not care about their customers concerns, as I made it clear what my yard needed, and they ignored it and sprayed whatever they wanted. I also told them to not come back after put down another fertilizer application, then they came back again the next week and put MORE on. Complete lack of understanding how grass grows and what it needs to thrive properly. TruGreen has no respect for customers or their yards, and I will be seeking the $5,000 in damages to fix everything they screwed up.

      I get numerous phone calls from TruGreen every week, and the moment I answer, they hang up. Probably their way of saying they called, but no one answered. They have people calling from every department and even new sales people are reaching out asking if I would like to sign up. Its a mess how unorganized it is. I now have a brown yard from over fertilization and still have a yard full of weeds. I will have to put down sod or some other form of grass to keep the erosion from getting worse. From everything Tru Green did, I could *** them for the damages they caused to my yard. All of this happened because of straight disregard to the customers concerns. I told them what my yard needed, and tried to advise them what would happen if they did not stop the methods they were using. Now it turned out exactly how I said, and Im the one that is losing money. I havent decided if I will take Tru Green to court yet, but if they keep doing what theyre doing with corporate then I will. They lie and say they cant get ahold of me even though I answer every call. They say they show up, when they dont. They say I will get a full refund, which I didnt. They say they can treat my yard on saturdays because of my dogs having yard access during the day, but that was a lie. They never once treated on a Saturday, and refused when I asked them. They told me that so they could get my business. If you want to talk to me, you send me an email, text, or leave a voicemail with a phone number and good contact information to whoever is in charge, and then we will talk. Stop making excuses and be professional for once. Ive gone out of my way and tried to resolve this is*** 100 times, but TruGreen is not cooperative.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      truGreen never once tried to resolve anything. They call first by asking how my yard is, and then I tell them that the service was awful and Ill never use TruGreen again, and then they try to sell me more. Well maybe we can work on getting you signed back up for the spring service. They dont know when to quit, and they didnt stop calling me until I filed this last BBB complaint. I will be pursuing these matters further, and will be taking some kind of legal action for our losses, as I was harassed continually by this company. They misrepresent their services, and lie to their customers to make more money. Oh and to add to that, I had a TruGreen truck outside our house a few weeks ago. No one from this company should be parked at my house. They were there taking pictures and analyzing my yard from where they damaged it this summer by over fertilizing. Of the hours on the phone for my troubles, and the damage to my yard, and the harassment of phone calls, which is illegal in the state of ********, so I will be pursuing $25,000 from TruGreen for their lies, lack of professionalism, and attempts to get out of their wrong doings.

      On 6/1/2022 TruGreen was supposed to aerate and seed my lawn. My husband (a doctor) stayed home from work to talk with the tech. The guy said he could not seed as he ran out but he could aerate. My husband asked him to do both parts at a later time. The tech said no, he would do the aeration. He aerated along a fence line, under my pine trees, and on the roots of fragile plants and trees. We have had aeration and seeding done in the past. He did not correctly aerate the lawn itself. I am a Master Gardener. Only about 5% of the lawn itself was aerated. It was NEVER seeded. I once took off work & scheduled the service to be done on June 9th. He never came, nor called. I scheduled again for Saturday, June 11th, and called all day to find out when he would arrive. His truck broke down. I was not told he would not be coming until 5 pm. We canceled all plans for the day for total aggravation. I have called TruGreen over 20 times trying to get this resolved. The supervisors I spoke with said the charge would be removed because the service was not done. That was not done. I refuse to pay for such horrible work. My yard was on a garden walk this year. I had to tell everyone that the lawn looks so bad because TruGreen does not do what is promised. I have since contacted a local company, canceled all service with TruGreen, and NEVER want them to set foot on my property. I refuse to pay for work that was NEVER COMPLETED. I want the charge removed from my account. This is the most inept company I have ever dealt with. Please see 3 photos of my yard. Two are of the shoddy prior workmanship. The photo of my backyard shows where aeration WAS NOT DONE AT ALL.

      On June 30 2022, TruGreen applied an herbicidal chemical intended for the lawn to my shrubs, including my edible blueberry plant resulting in my plants quickly dying. I have contacted TruGreen about the resulting damages. Upon initial review the service manager acknowledged TruGreen being responsible for damages to certain plants yet said samples would need to be sent to a lab to confirm the cause for the others. Three weeks have passed by and TruGreen has not provided any update or conclusion of the lab results. Each time I contact TruGreen, no one has any answers on the status. I am looking to recover the cost for the damages that TruGreen has done to my property.
