Received our new $10,000 dollar hot tub June 2nd. Filled it with water immediately there was water coming out from underneath. Called LPI monday June 5th they said I was assigned a case manager and I would hear from her. Didn’t hear anything so on Wednesday I called again to LPI they assured me they were working on issue. No further communication that week. I called again the next Monday expressing my displeasure again finally later that week tech came out couldn’t find the leak but did say he has never seen a brand new hot tub leak so bad. All the next week I called LPI wondering what next step is. They said waiting for tech report called on wed they said they got report and working out a plan. So after three weeks nothing fixed no plan on how to fix it. I called the sales office I called Jesse who run mn store I called regional manager asking for resolution to the leak problem. Still no plan. Week four more of the same i call everyday and everyday no answers promise to communicate with me never a call back. I demanded that they come get there hot tub out of our backyard finally case manager called last Wednesday said they are going to overnight a dye test it is now Sunday and still no dye test kit. I have given up on aqua living and LPI nobody involved has provided any customer service and could care a less if my problem gets fixed. Five weeks one tech visit a hot tub that can’t hold water now and a company that could care less. I want aqua living to apologize give us our $500 delivery, fee back the money we paid for payment then come take there hot tub out of our backyard. I have tried everything in my power to get the hot tub fixed I wish aqua living would have done the same now I only have anger and disappointment left.

A technician was present at the home on 07/10/23. The issues were identified and the parts list submitted is being ordered. A follow up work order has been created and will be assigned when the components are received.

We bought a hot tub June 23, 2022 and we have had nothing but problems with it. It'll work for a week then shut down. Calling tech help they will keep you on hold for an hour and when someone gets on they don't have a clue whats happening and will send you video to DIY. The videos they send don't have anything to do with our issue. When you try to call ***** in the San Diego office she never returns calls since day one. We used another phone last year and she finally answered. Hmmm interesting! So Im thinking she may have been screening calls. Tried calling again for the last few days and her voice mails states she will call you back. STILL WAITING!!!! We called the tech # (customer help line)last week and conveinently they didn't document the call or give us a problem ticket number so our call "didn't exsist" so when we called today our year warranty was up as of the 23rd so we got the "to bad so sad" response. Bad business!!!!! So now I have a hot tub we paid for that never worked correctly and now stopped all together.

It is not unreasonable to request troubleshooting prior to further assistance.  The speculation concerning ***** is unwarranted as the customer was previously aware of warranty procedures evidenced by calling in to the service line and submitting an online warranty request in August and September 2022. The warranty for the Hudson Bay line is listed as 90 days labor and one year for major components. Your request will be reviewed and standard warranty protocol followed. We do apologize for any frustration.

      Business Response

"We will assist in ordering components per the warranty upon your request." is the direct quote from our previous correspondence and what is advised on your case. If you know what part(s) you need following a technician's diagnosis (remember your labor warranty's timeline), we can help you order them.  It certainly does not advise that if you are out of warranty we will send you free parts.

Bought a new hot tub 2 years ago it has maybe worked for 6 months of that 2 years it has burned out 2 pumps lights in cup holders worked for about a month some jets spray some don’t had an issue in December with it leaking should have been a warranty issue but with several calls and e-mails about once a week they finally decided to deal with it in April so 4 months trying to get some help, when I finally forced my way through their phone maze to talk to someone that actually knows something they tell me my warranty ended in January when the first call was December 8th,all while they gladly take my payments out of my account I should have stopped payment but really I was patient and just want what I paid for to work! They finally sent a service tech out he found the issue and they sent the parts then told me I had to pay for the service because it was no longer under warranty by the time they got around to it? Even though it was under warranty when the issue occurred? The same tech has been here 4 times and every time he leaves it still leaks? If you are looking to get a hot tub FIND A DIFFERENT COMPANY!!!
These people sell you on this great warranty and service for their hot tubs that show up built like crap with junk for parts don’t believe the hype run away as fast as you can they are con artists that sell junk!

Your spa was received in December 2020. Please review the attached Dr. Wellness Tranquility line warranty information.  The labor warranty on your spa is listed as 6 months, to be clear that would place labor through June 2021. The full two year warranty for parts would have expired in December 2022, we honored that per your initial parts (December) request in February 2023.  We further accommodated you as recently as April 2023, when it should have been your responsibility. There also seems to be some confusion as Aqua Living or the manufacturer would not be financing your purchase.  We will continue to assist with any parts needs and the remainder of your written warranty.

In November 2022 we purchased a spa (hot tub) from Aqua Living Factory Outlets (ALFO) in Charlotte, NC for $8,612.44. during the purchase process we were made aware that the spa had a 5 yr warranty on the Structure, Shell, Major Components and Plumbing and the spa cover has a 1 yr warranty through ALFO and a 5 yr manufacture's warranty. These warranty details are clearly documented on the AQFO website.
On June 2nd we returned home from vacation to find our spa cover caved in and had puddle of water sitting on top. We immediately contacted the service request company. We had several exchanges with the service requestor, during each communications the associate stated that we "only had a 90-day warranty on the cover". When we quoted the warranty details on the website and that we agreed to at the time of purchase, the associates stated "I guess the website needs to be changed", suggesting the company pull a bait and switch scenario. We asked to speak with a manger during each call and were told that they not available but would call us back, we have yet to hear from a manger. We have asked for proof showing were we agreed to forfeit the 1 and 5 yr warranty's and agreed to a 90-day warranty but they do not have that. We also reached out to our sales person **** for advice who told us that he could not assist.
According to the AQFO website as well as other hot tub/spa online resources, the purpose of the cover is for: Safety: to prevent children from falling into the hot tub (NOTE-we have 2 toddlers), Heat retention: to save energy and reduce heating costs, Protection: from weather damage, Energy efficiency: reduction in energy costs, and Maintenance: protecting it from damage. It has been 3 weeks and we still have not gotten any resolve, only run around. Our spa is still a danger to our children and the state of the cover continues to worsen and negatively impact us financially, due to the inefficiencies the defective cover has created.

Please see the Tranquility Series warranty information attached. "Damage caused by weather, poor water chemistry, standing water and/or improper maintenance will not be covered under this warranty." Unfortunately, what you have experienced and described is not a manufacturer's defect.

The picture you provided has pooled water in it. You are exactly right in that these covers do not just go bad. It did not come to you in this condition, nor did it happen for 7 months. The company does not know who or what was on the cover and does not track your precipitation levels. Unfortunately in this situation, the damage reported is not covered under the limited warranty provided.

I am rejecting this response because: this cover should have lasted more than 7 months. Additionally, this company has refused to provide the manufactures information so we can reach out to them regarding this matter. This company pulled a bait a switch when the provided us with the warranty per their website, which clearly states 5 yrs and 1 yr warranty, then changed it when there was an actual issue. We will be plastering the internet with negative reviews of this company, their unlawful tactics and their horrible products that do not last more than 6-7 months under minimal weather conditions.

I bought the Spa at the end of 2019 and it started having issues this year, My wife called about the issue and was told we were out of warranty a few months later the controller went out and I had my wife pull the paper work and found we had a 5 year warranty. I call the number again and was told we were out of warranty and after I told the lady on the phone no we were still under the 4 years and had a 5 year warranty she told me she made a mistake and that the person over the warranty repairs would be calling my to get the issue fixed I never heard back form them, I think they are trying to wait until we hit 4 year so we get have to pay for part of the fix as it is pro-rated at 4 years.

You report receiving your spa in September of 2019. Please review the attached warranty that you submitted to the service department. Labor is listed as 18 months, which has expired. The components warranty in the document provided advises : "This is a full warranty for the first three (3) years and shall be prorated for the remaining period with the original owner responsible for the following percentages for the replacement or repair: 50% for year 4, and 65% for year 5." This is already year four (19-20, 20-21, 21-22, 22-23*). A representative will reach out concerning your prorated purchase.

      Business Response

The warranty begins on the date of delivery:

      (year 1) 9/8/2019 -9/8/2020
      (year 2) 9/8/2020 - 9/8/2021
      (year 3) 9/8/2021 - 9/8/2022
      (year 4) 9/8/2022 - 9/8/2023

Unfortunately, you are squarely in year four, as three full years have already passed. There is not any other interpretation of how full years are tracked.

We apologize for the frustration you have been experiencing. Backyard delivery is for the delivery and placement of your spa only. Electrical hookup, adding water, and water chemistry are not included nor have they been advertised as such at any time. This service was performed by a third party, whom would be responsible for assisting with the damage sustained during their service. The concerns of being level cannot be remedied with shims per the warranty. Please be advised that it is not the manufacturer's responsibility to provide the customer with an approved level foundation, or in this case, porch. We regret that there was an alleged unpleasant encounter with one of our store sales representatives.  It is difficult to reconcile both narratives due to the degree of variance - however the email exchange is helpful. Your lending institution has contacted us concerning your open dispute. We will be providing them with your invoice, terms and conditions, warranty information, BOL, and assorted documentation to assist them in making an educated decision.

We purchased a hot tub from an Aqua Living Factory Outlet location in Clackamas, OR in September of 2022. We were initially told the delivery would happen within 2-4 weeks, but it ended up being delivered in early January. The company has marked the delivery date wrong because it sat at a warehouse for a month marked as delivered even though it did not get dropped off to us until we reached out and bugged the company multiple times for updates.

Once it was delivered, we had several issues with it leaking (tub emptied entirely), and after calling the sales rep repeatedly she was able to connect me to her husband who also works at the company. They got the tub fixed in a few days... but it was a mess trying to get it to work after all of the trouble we had getting it delivered.

We then started to enjoy the tub, but never tried the audio out until recently. Once we tried it we realized the speakers do not work at all. The bluetooth connects, but the speakers seem to have been delivered in a broken condition. I filed a claim and contacted the company to try and get this resolved, but was told, surprisingly, that all of these components only have a 90 day warranty.. so since we didn't try them out fast enough, we are out of luck.

When we initially had the service tech at our house to fix the leaks, he told us we were covered under warranty if anything else came up, and so did the sales rep, *****. She said we'd be covered if anything ever happened to the spa... but that does not seem to be truthful.

On their site, it does not include any limitations listed.
On the page with details, you can see "Major Components: 5 Years" and the spa, even in the URL is listed as a spa with bluetooth audio system. The inclusion of the feature in the name should be evidence enough that it's a major/important component to this particular spa. It also lists "Labor: 6 Months" so sending someone out to fix it should be covered.

I simply want the audio system (speakers) fixed...

      Business Response

      Date: 05/25/2023

Please review the attached warranty section from your manual. We apologize for the frustration, but audio is not listed as a major component. There should be email correspondence with a representative reflecting this information.

      Business Response

      Date: 05/25/2023

Our apologies for the misinformation. The customer has provided alternate warranty paperwork that matches their production ticket. The audio equipment will be ordered and a technician assigned to install.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 06/02/2023

Please don't close the complaint! I was waiting to hear from the company to schedule something or anything, and have not heard anything yet...

I would like to accept their offer to assign a technician and order the parts... but they have not done or said anything.

I purchased a Catalina model from this company in 2022 for $11,000.00 !!!!! I all so purchased a two year extended warranty! I have not been able to use it once because the "lifetime" warranty lid leaked water and debris from nearby trees into my brand new spa before I ever got a chance to install it. Then Winter came and froze the pipes. So when I went to finally put water in it this spring it all leaked out!!! They took forever to send someone out, he had to order parts, the parts came in two days but it took a month for the technician to come back out and install them. The technician left all the weatherstripping that was poorly glued to the lid and hanging off that caused the problem in the first place all falling off just the way he found it. There are also rusty screws all over the outside and it hasn't even had chemicals in it!!!!! The technician told me to wait 24 hours before I filled it, so I waited a week to be safe. I filled it up last Thursday and by Friday morning it was empty again!!!! I have called, I have emailed and still haven't had a response!!!!!!

      Business Response

      Date: 05/24/2023

A technician replaced the manifold, seals, tuff cover hardware, and screws during a service visit on 05/10/23. Another work order has been created to address the remaining concerns.

      Customer Answer

Sorry I did not see the last email you sent, this case is definitely NOT closed!!!!! They did send someone else and he replaced some parts. He told me to wait 24 hours before I put water into, I did. 24 hours later I started to add water and it almost immediately began leaking again. I called them back right away and it has taken another three weeks to send the guy back which is tomorrow. Fingers crossed he actually fixes it this time.

Hot tub delivered in July. Have had one problem after another. The product itself is poor and service is even worse. The Company never follows up on a timely basis despite its claims that I would hear from them within 2 business days. Often takes weeks before I hear from them. Then they place an order for delivery and only then do they schedule a repair contact that often takes weeks before the problem is fixed.

      Their commitment:
Your Warranty Claim has been successfully submitted to our Service Department. Please allow up to two business days for a team member to review and get back with you on the next steps.

They have not followed up on most recent problem so the tub is inoperable once again. Adding to months that it has not worked properly over the past year. The most recent problem is a bad touch screen (replaced just months ago) rendering the hot tub inoperable. Still within warrant period.. The following is a history of problems over the past year:

      1. Hoses have blown. Took weeks to get repaired.

      2. Pump has failed. Tech from Bristol showed up to fix pump after driving up from Bristol and had the wrong part. And had to return to Bristol and then drive back again to get the spa fixed again. MORE time down without use of the spa. He was ever good to work with but these delays are absurd.

      3. Rubber gaskets on cover installed incorrectly and have now been replaced.

      4. And NOW, the touchpad no longer works and the tub is inoperable ONCE AGAIN.

Followup calls and e-mails go left unanswered on this most recent issue.

Your help in getting this expedited will be greatly appreciated. I will be giving a very poor rating. Thanks you again for your help.

      Respectfully your,

Yes the issue was corrected thanks to BBB. The defective art was sent 24 hours after receipt of the complaint. However, I had to schedule the repair. Following repair, I received a call the following week to schedule the repair but would have to wait another week before the tech from Tennessee would be able to make repair. Had BBB complaint not helped with expediting part shipment and me scheduling the repair with their local contractor, I would waited weeks once again. Should never have had to reach out to BBB

Thanks BBB. Hope I don’t need to reach again anytime soon.

My name is ***** ********, my mother *** ***** purchased a spa from your location in Chalmette LA over a year and a half ago for my house warming gift. We have had nothing but stress and worries over the spa. We are now on the 2nd spa and it has issues. After a year and a half we should not be having these issues. This has worried my mother to the point she is in and out of the hospital due to the stress and depression that this is causing her. She had purchased this in good faith that this was a great investment to help with her back issues as well as mine. I spent additional money for the new upgrades for the 2nd spa hoping it would be even better but that was a 1000.00 of more headaches.

The tech ordered parts 5 months ago and the spa is still not fixed. The sales rep and DM have been pushing me off with a mountain of excuses. I have tons of text message and other communication with your staff locally and from Tennessee . Back in December the DM was telling me how he would compensate me and give me some money back, then DM calls and wants to grant me 300.00 in chemicals as this would be a way to shut me up I guess which was a slap in the face after talking about refunding some of the costs. The point of the matter is I have had 2 spas in my backyard for a year and a half and we have only used the spa about 4-6 times before something goes wrong. I was hoping and praying that the new one that was built and had all the bells and whistle would be the golden ticket and we would not have anymore issues from the spa.

At this point I am so exhausted from the excuses and level of service we have been giving. This is past the point of having to dealing with these issues on a new spa. Please contact me to discuss if you have questions
      Please refund my money

A salary technician visited the home and diagnosed the leak on 05/16/23.  A replacement component is being ordered. When this is received, the tech will finish the repair.  The only other outstanding issue visible in warranty services, is the installation of replacement skirting. We appreciate your ***ience and will continue to honor your warranty.
