We had our roof replaced through insurance in the fall of 2019. The company selected subcontracted the roofing to another company. This individual was nice but completed the job practically by themselves with a broken arm. Less two years later we notice water intrusion in the area that had been repaired. We were having gutter updates when the company provided examples of how everything was installed incorrectly. We've been in "contact" with the restoration company off and on since August with to no avail.

A unaffiliated third party company relayed the following:

    1. The panels are 1.5 to 2 inches too long, keeping water from shedding properly into the gutters.

    2. No drip edge was installed at the eaves. This leaves the decking (OSB) open to the elements (and, in time, water damage). It also keeps water from consistently shedding into the gutters.

    3. No closures we're installed at the eaves. This leaves "gaps," as you referred to them, between the bottom of the ribs and the top of the decking.

Please note their subcontractor sent two individuals out that. Attached you can see my txt from March never replied too. They could not tell me what was done and told me to ask the business. No one has explained what was done and why it was leaking. We had noticeable water intrusion and I have asked the company to test the walls for moisture and they will not reply to my emails or calls.
