I started looking for a mover in March for an April 26th move from my home in Maryville Tn to Union City Tn. I have all the emails between me and a person named ****** who I later found out was in the Philippines. The prices were within a few dollars of the best. I did a face time video with the company to show them what was going and what was not. They quoted me for 2 men, and a 26 ft truck. It was supposed to be show up at at 8 am, load in 3 hours, and be in the road for the t hour drive, and then 3 hours to unload. Well they showed up at 9:20 am in a U-Haul truck, walked through our house and said oh no this requires 3 men and 2 trucks. I said ****** did the FaceTime video and he’s the one that made the deal, to which they responded he should be fired he’s made several bad calls on moves costing them time and money. They went to the truck and called their owner, a guy named ******. ****** promised to get a 3rd man, and. 2nd truck. 3 minutes later ****** texted me a new price, that it was going up by 1500.00 to 3500.00. I had no choice we had to be out that day. They finally finished loading the 4:30, then told us they were going to Union city but would not unload till Saturday am. Problem was all of our clothes were in the truck so we had to go and buy underwear and a change of clothes plus pay 165.00 for a hotel room. They showed up at 9;30 am and asked if they could go through yard to get to front of house with truck, and I told them only if solid enough not to make ruts or get stuck, well they ended up doing both. They finished loading at 4 pm, then made the call to ******, who sent be a bill by text for $6100.00 which also included a tip. It was charged to my credit card, but I could not speak to ******. When the receipt came to my email I found out I was paying 235.00 an hour for 7 hours driving time, no where in any contract statement. Then on Tuesday ****** set me another bill for 241.00 with no explanation, but I refused to pay.
