The company helped us with multiple issues over the years and when there were problems, they ultimately did the right thing and handled it. Friendly technicians, respectful and helpful.HEP, Inc.

1 starWe were having issues with our basement toilet not flushing. We called HEP to help resolve. The person who came out checked our sewage ejector pump. After looking at it for a short amount of time he told us our pump needed to be replaced. My husband asked if it was possibly just the float and the plumber said if the float is bad the pump is about to go bad as well. My husband asked for the make and model of the replacement pump in the quote and found that it was a larger and more expensive model than our current one. When my husband brought this up he was told he was wrong and that the pump he was quoting was certainly the same. It absolutely was not the same! We felt that we were being taken advantage of and chose not to use their services. My husband did additional research and found that the float going bad is not indicative of a pump going bad and that's it's more common for floats needing replacement vs pumps. My husband replaced the float for $50 over 6 months ago and our issue is resolved and our pump is still working. We were quoted by HEP $5200. I feel strongly that this was an attempted cash grab. While I can't speak for all their plumbers, I have concerns that company practices create situations where their plumbers will do these types of things for personal gain. Do the work on commission?Review fromD. H.

Let's start off with ***** nicely very professional and kind. I feel bad that he has to work for a crooked company like hep. I have a water main coming into my house that they replaced and it's kinked or restricted underground ***** and I took the coupler apart where they joined my pipe to teirs and checked pressure from meter to house it had 52 psi. Mind you we eliminated the pipe going into house to rule out bad pipe to house. Tested at my side of meter had 100 psi. Their pipe is bad and they won't stand behind it. His boss Craig is saying we need to jackhammer my floor up in house to replace pipe to rule out my pipe. Hello if your pipe you installed only has 52 psi from your joint to the meter your pipe is bad. I did all the grunt work for them by digging out both ends of their pipe so all they had to do was test it. But no I had to do the testing to prove to them. Long story short they are not standing behind their work I'll be replacing the underground line myself at my cost and inconvenience customer satisfaction is zero in my book especially coming from that ***** that's supposed to be a manager. All he is worried about is making money I'm not a dumb homeowner that doesn't know what I'm doing I do this work on a daily basis. I will be bad mouthing hep to all my customers and friends and had a customer that has contracts to cancel them. ***** I wish you all the best please get away from this company and take your passion for your job to someone that will appreciate you i tried reaching out to *** the general manager but no response. So im going to spend my 4th of july fixing heps major screwup. .HEP, Inc.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you’ve experienced.
We’re glad to hear that ***** was professional and courteous during your interactions—he takes great pride in his work, and we appreciate you recognizing that.
Regarding the issue with your underground water line, we understand that you’ve done extensive troubleshooting and provided detailed findings. We value that kind of diligence and recognize that you have experience in this type of work.
From our perspective, the discrepancy in pressure readings between the meter and your side of the line suggests a potential issue, but unfortunately, without further testing—including the line within your home—we have not been able to definitively determine the source of the restriction. Our team’s recommendation to evaluate the full length of the line was made to ensure that we are addressing the right problem.
We understand your disappointment that you’ve had to take on much of the testing yourself. That is certainly not the experience we want for our customers. While our field team did not find conclusive evidence that the issue is with our installation, we respect your decision to replace the line yourself and acknowledge the added time and cost you’re facing.
We’re sorry we could not reach a better resolution in this case, and we’ve shared your feedback with our management team, including ***** *** *** ******* ******** ***. We are also reviewing our customer service approach to better support future clients who have legitimate technical concerns like yours.
Thank you again for your feedback. We do take it seriously, and we truly wish you the best moving forward.
Sincerely,
Your Friends at HEPD. H.

1 starDo not recommend. We feel taken advantage of.
They misdiagnosed our problem as supply side water issue. Then used a little pressure to have us select a repair. The 2 day job ended up taking four days with a couple minor things never completed. As the work was being done I inquired about the leak and always got strange answers. After four days, they quickly turned the water on and left. Shortly after we realized the leak was worse than before. Why? Because the problem was on the outgoing side not the supply side. They came the next day and fixed it in about an hour. So the 4 days of work we had done was for NO REASON AT ALL. The only response the manager gave was, "well, you have peace of mind now." We paid thousands for "peace of mind?" Not acceptable. Customer Service and their management were of little to no help.
Their trucks say "Happy Wife, Happy Life." Well my wife is not happy. She was even planning on them doing a kitchen remodel and possibly a bathroom, but she will never allow them in our house again.
Selected 1 Star because ZERO Stars is not an option!!!
In short, DO NOT TRUST THEM or their ability to fairly rectify the issue during or after they mess up.Review fromAnthony G

1 starHad HEP come to my house to take a look at my HVAC system. Technician blew a couple of fuses and then came upstairs and told me that there was a short somewhere and that the fuses were blowing. He said that they don’t make the parts anymore for my system And that it would be cheaper to get a new one. Said it would cost $10,000-$13,500 to put mini splits in the house. The house is only 1200 ft.². Said he could be ready on that Monday. I asked him about the fuses and he told me they would cost $250 apiece to replace! after research and having several other HVAC technicians come to the house, I go and find out the fuses are only $15 apiece at Ace Hardware. And for the equipment they could not be repaired anymore because they don’t make the parts anymore? I got a technician who repaired everything for $300. and the thing is working fine with no issues at all in fact, he told me that there was no Freon leaking which the previous technician told me there was. The technician who repaired my HVAC system also said that the blower and the compressor look relatively new. HEP is a rip off, and I will never ever recommend them.Review fromTimothy M

1 star4 hours to replace 3/4" valve. $350.00. It took 5 minutes to do the actual work. I could have purchased the tools and parts and done it cheaper. CROOKS. Plumber got here, didnt have the parts. Left to get parts whi h took 2 hours. Came back, didnt have the tools. Left for over an hour . When asked why it cost so much , some of the issues were getting parts and cost of tool. This one job paid for his tools and he should of had the clamps and valve on his truck. EXTREMELY UNACCEPTABLE! If I could give less than 1 star I wouldReview fromTyrone S

HEP was called to replace an in-ground water faucet and a piece of a swamp cooler. The quote given was $3,200. When asked for the breakdown of the charges, the technician said that the high tariffs significantly increased the price.
I told the technician that this was nothing more than price gouging and I would not be a victim of such greed.
I called another company, and the total repair cost was $550. I suppose the HEP had no idea that women can run a business and sniff out greed.HEP, Inc.

We appreciate the opportunity to respond to this customer's concerns and would like to clarify the situation and our pricing practices.
Our technician was dispatched to provide a quote for the replacement of an in-ground water faucet and a component of a swamp cooler. After a full inspection, the technician quoted $3,200 for the scope of work, which included labor, materials, and other factors based on the job’s complexity, urgency, and parts availability. We understand that the customer felt this price was high, and as is always our policy, there was no obligation to accept the estimate.
When the customer asked about the pricing, our technician explained that several factors—including supply chain issues, inflation, and tariffs on certain materials—can contribute to higher-than-expected costs. At no point was there any intention to overcharge or take advantage of the situation.
We regret that the customer felt our quote was unfair. Every company structures pricing differently, and we respect the customer's decision to seek a second opinion and choose another service provider that better fit their expectations.
At HEP, we are committed to transparency, fair business practices, and respect for all customers regardless of gender or background. We do not condone any form of discrimination or disrespect and are disappointed that the experience left the customer with such an impression.
We remain available to discuss any unresolved concerns directly and appreciate the feedback, as it helps us continue to improve our service.
