    I called Pipe Wrench for a washing machine pipe leak on 4/14/2025 in Loudon, TN. I discovered the leak Friday afternoon but I didn't want to pay weekend price so I diverted the water to a 3 gal bucket that filled in about 6 hours. Was I shocked when the technician gave me the quote for $641.54.
    He installed 2 hammer arresters on hot and cold washing machine feed lines ( $21.84 for 2 at Amazon and $13 each at Home Depot). He installed up to 6' total water hose to connect to the washer. He cut out the existing Hammer Arrestors and installed 2 new ones to the valve assembly of the washer box. About 30 minutes for labor.
    To install the 2 new hammer arresters $350.77 To install up to 6' of hose $390.77. -$100 for ?? TOTAL $641.54 I asked for an itemized bill but didn't get one. I signed the bill since I felt I had no recourse at the moment; I had a leak that needed repaired.
    I called the office twice asking for an itemized invoice and specifically the cost of a Hammer Arrestor. Finally, the Foreman Supervisor returned my call. He told me that they do not itemize a job. They cost by the job. I told him he had to know the cost of the hammer arrester to even do that but I never did get an answer to my question. We were ripped off plain and simple. Let my lesson be a warning to anyone thinking about using this company for anything.
