    We had the sewer line replaced and it is not correct and they said they would fix but still haven't months later. This is a great health concern as the sewer keeps flowing back into the basement and doing more damage. This is very dangerous to our 3 small children and other children we care for.
    They are now refusing to even talk to to resolve this issue.

    9/26/2023 Invoice number 2798 for $1,500.00 Paid in full
    Installation of Rinnai Tankless Water heater. Did not work and so far the installation has cost me almost $6000. Now I have an outstanding failed inspection from Knox County Permit number 23-4836. I have called Winkles but they do not return my calls.
    Their Invoice number is 2798. I am very upset and dissatisfied by the way this occurred. I feel like I have been abused because of my age.

    Winkle's plumbing would like to address the inaccuracies of this complaint. Winkle's Plumbing did not install any new gas lines, only connected to an existing line that remained from the removed of an old tank style gas water heater that the customer wanted replaced. The points on the inspection report from the county are shown in the photo attached, where the intake is more than 12" from the inside corner, the pressure relief and condensate line is a dedicated line that exits the garage through the wall, and the unit is vented directly through the garage wall. Instructions for the customer supplied unit that was installed by Winkle's were left with the customer. Additionally, the inspection report states that it was conducted on 1/11/2024, which is over three months after Winkle's completed the installation. However, the customer supplied an invoice from the competitor they hired to do work, including running new gas lines, dated for November 30, 2023, indicating that the customer paid the competitor to do the additional work that was inspected and failed by Knox County. Our records do not show any contact from the customer between 9/29/2023 and 1/10/2024. If the customer was having trouble with the unit installed by Winkle's, the customer should have contacted us to allow an opportunity to diagnose and correct any potential issues found. Instead the customer called a competitor out and paid them to do work that was subsequently inspected and failed by Knox County. The customer did contact our office on 1/11/2024 to state that our work had failed inspection, but failed to indicate that he had paid another company to do any additional work. A copy of our original invoice is also included. The customer supplied several parts for this installation. It is unfortunate that the competitor took advantage of this customer, but Winkle's did not do the gas line installation that failed inspection, nor did we abuse this customer. The customer actually received a discounted rate as shown on the invoice for the installation of his tankless water heater.

    We are sorry that you were not happy with the service provided to you by our company. However, you gave no chance for us to resolve any issues before having another company come out, thereby voiding any warranty and removing any responsibility from Winkle's Plumbing. There will be no refund issued, as the work was completed more than 4 months ago, and no notice was ever given that there was any issue or dissatisfaction with the work performed.
