1 starI made an order for a filter cartridge. I did not get it on time. I chatted with customer support, and they promised a delivery within a few days. The filter still did not arrive. They claimed that it would be delayed again due to manufacturing but could not provide a date. This is strange since that product is very popular. Make your own decision whether to order from them. We purchased there system thinking it was something unique. It's just overpriced filters you can buy for around *** at the hardware stores. They also keep nearly %50 of the refund upon returning an item. So much for there no questions asked return policy.Hydroviv, LLC

Thank you so much for the feedback in your review, however, the statements that you are making are factually incorrect. All of our drinking water systems are customized based on the location, they will be used in, which is provided to us by the customer, we are also happy to answer any questions whatsoever about what that formulation would look like before any purchases made. I do see that the purchase you were referencing was made on July 7 and the discounted subscription option was chosen. Any returns initiated within 30 days from the delivery date have no restocking fee associated with them. Returns made outside of that 30 day window may have a restocking fee applied to them however exceptions do apply as you will note in our policies page which is also available for your review before any purchase is made.Review fromHelen C

The first time I had to change the filter I was unable to do so with the tool that was supplied. I had to wait for my 24 year old to son arrive to untwist it using the tool and even he had a different time doing it. I am a 50 year old woman who is 105 pounds. This will be impossible to do in the future. Very disappointed and will be replacing it. Poor design.Hydroviv, LLC

1 starDisappointing customer service and I did not feel that they were transparent regarding their return practices when I asked them in an e-mail PRIOR to placing an order. They stated in the e-mail that the return policy was 30 days and then provided an external link to the entire policy (which apparently includes a 25% restocking fee and responsibility for return shipping). I felt this was misleading. If they were going to provide an external link they should have said NOTHING about the 30 day return policy and provided ONLY the external link to the return policy in the e-mail (or included the ENTIRE return policy in the e-mail, not just PART of it and the remainder in an external link). I asked to discuss the situation with a manger and was connected with someone named Shane. I provided him with documentation from my e-mail chain with the company, I did not feel that he was kind or helpful. I was unhappy with the resolution I got from him. He offered to lower the restocking fee to 10% and told me I was still responsible for the shipping. The package was unopened and unused and I asked to returning the item within 30 days so I did not try the product. We ultimately decided that a whole house filter better suited our needs because we wanted our bathing water filtered as well. I tried to write a review on their website, but it was deleted within minutes of writing it. Beware of this company!!!!!Review fromArianeh S

Do NOT purchase this defective product.
The filter doesn't work. Water tastes awful. Tested it ourselves with an at home kit, and it isn't pure as advertised. They will also demand seeing your home test kit results and then send a generic response stating home test kits are not sufficient or reliable. Unreal.
Further, the unit leaks.
Lastly and most importantly, despite explaining the above, the customer service is non existent. They are extremely rude and resend the same cookie cutter template responses with perhaps one sentence or two embedded within the template to address your particular concerns. They send and resend the same links to their warranty and return policy, wholly disregarding that selling a defective, arguably falsely advertised product voids the contractual terms as the consumer is not receiving what we paid for.
I exchanged emails with a few people, but Shane was particularly snarky, unpleasant, unhelpful and beyond unreasonable. As you can see, he has been given 1 star, low reviews by other customers, as well. It is a shame the company is not realizing basic business etiquette and the importance of customer service.
Despite the defective filter not working and leaking, they will do everything under the sun to get SOME payment from their customers: whether it be with the product sale, subscription or with a "restocking" "return" fee that is outrageously high. It is quite unfortunate.
After their failure to work out an amicable solution of allowing me to return their defective product for a full refund, as would be the only fair solution in this case, I am left with no other option but to spend more of my time to submit a claim with my credit card company as this business is falsely advertising a product that does not work, and remain wholly unhelpful.
Run the opposite direction, and do not give this company your business or time.Hydroviv, LLC

faulty connector. followed instructions fine and the connector slipped and flooded and destroyed our kitchen floor. It's also terrible product design to have a situation where that is even possible. Company refused to engage beyond just a refund (the damage was substantially more than that), and the fact they had a form email ready for this situation should tell you how commonly this seems to happen.Hydroviv, LLC

The pipe was installed exactly as written in the included instructions and indicated in the installation video, and the pipe slid right out of the connector as if nothing was there.
Furthermore, it is egregious, cost-cutting product design that this type of issue is even possible - any well-designed product would have the connector permanently attached to braided wire instead of sliding over a slippery plastic one.
Finally, the company's complete disinterest in making things right or correcting any issues, either with the product itself or the consequences of installing it, is awful.
I'd suggest anyone hire a plumber and use a better product, don't risk the nightmare.Review fromDavid F

Before I purchased the under the sink water filter I took regular water out of my faucet and put it into my distiller to make distilled water. The distiller was coated with a white gunk that looked like paste. I placed the Hydroviv water filter on and waited a week before I used my distiller again. Apparently it didn't clean the water up as the same amount of white paste was on the bottom and sides of the distiller. I expected to see a clean distiller with the Hydroviv filter on and in place. Hydroviv systems are not water, softeners, demineralize hours, our systems are not sold with this intention, nor do we make any claims in those regards. Our systems are designed to remove reported contaminants from your water based on area, this is stated clearly on our site. Unfortunately, many consumers do not complete due diligence to seek this information, and instead make assumptions. RECEIVED MY SECOND UNDER THE SINK FILTER. TUBING PART WAS MISSING AND CANISTER WAS SOLID STUCK ( SO THAT YOU COULD NOT REPLACE THE FILTER IN 6 MONTHS) WHEN I CONTACTED HYDROVIV THEY DONOT ADDRESS THE CONCERN THAT IT IS DEFECTIVE. RATHER THEY GO OFF AND SEND INSTRUCTIONS WHICH I DID NOT NEED, I FINALLY GOT THEM TO SEND RMA AND WHEN THEY RECEIVED IT THEY CHARGED ME RESTOCKING 25% FOR RETURNING A DEFECTIVE UNIT. Thank you for the feedback! Upon reviewing your information, we do see that the support agent you were working with offered to overnight any replacement parts needed. Again, the systems are hand-tightened by our production team in Knoxville. We have added the initial step of enduring this has not become loose during transit. Your initial correspondence mentioned a missing "funnel at the end of the tubing" which was unclear to our team as the tubing fits into the push-connection. I actually love the product. We live in an area that has PFOS, PFAS in the water and I feel much more confident in my water using this product. The reason I’m only giving 4 stars is because I am having problems contacting customer service in order to change the number of filters I want to receive with each shipment. The number they have for customer service says they have a high call volume and to contact them online. I’ve yet to figure out how.Hydroviv, LLC

I purchased a filter, and had buyer's remorse once I received it. We received zero instructions with our filter, and when I complained, they emailed me a you-tube video. When I asked about the return policy ( the alleged 30 day money back guarantee), I was given the return policy. You have to get authorization to return it, they charge a 25% restocking fee, you pay all return shipping, and assume all responsibility for return damages (which they make sound inevitable). They go on to say that if it is returned damaged, they don't owe you a dime. How's that for a 30 day money back guarantee? Instills a lot of faith in the company and the product!Hydroviv, LLC
