I have leased a truck from this company less than 2 months ago. When purchasing the truck I did an inspection inside of the maintenance garage. I smelled engine coolant but did not see any leaks so I figured that it was because I was in the shop. So after signing the documents I departed and while I was driving I still was smelling the coolant. I didnt really think much of it. But a couple weeks later I had a low coolant warning so I topped it off. Now yesterday the warning came back and I further investigated and found a hidden leak under the firewall. I took to a dealer and they found that there is a bad heater core (which was bad before buying the truck), a leak in the exhaust bellows (which is illegal nationwide), and the fuel and water separator filter is full. So that says this truck has been poorly maintained. The law states that a company selling a vehicle not addressing any issues currently is illegal. I am highly frustrated by the fact that they will not even assist with me getting these repairs. They told me they could pay it and I can pay them back later but now they state that they wont do it because I have to pay $2000 more on my deposit that Ive already paid $3500. I spent my last in my savings on this truck and I am unable to afford these repairs. My business of less than 2 months depends on hec leasing fixing an issue that should have been their responsibility to begin with. Also I need to pay hec $750 per week for truck payments and if the truck is in the shop, I cant make money. If I cant make money I cant pay them or the tons of other bills I have.

Please see attachments.  The unit was fully inspected at a dealership, signed off and inspected by our shop, signed off inspection with your signature on the attachment.  I have also included the Federal DOT inspection where the unit was inspected and no issues found.  It went through 3 difference inspections plus your inspection and nothing was found wrong with the truck. It appears that the truck has left the shop and Cloud helped. This is a used truck and repairs do happen.

I am rejecting this response because:

this only shows that the fuel filter was replaced in which is something I can repair myself. However it does not show anywhere where the heater core was inspected nor the exhaust. The heater core is a part that leaks internally and as I stated I smelled coolant upon inspection and constantly while driving. There were just no visible leaks since it was leaking inside the dashboard. I understand that used vehicles need repairs but my issue is that I have driven this vehicle for less than 2 months and around 10k miles and you guys are still going to expect payment from me of $750 which I do not have since I had to pay for these repairs that should have been done before I purchased the truck. At this point Ive lost more money than gained. Just to add to this, on the paperwork purchasing this truck it says the truck had 368k miles. On the actual dash it stated it had almost 380k. Just throwing that out there just to show that just because you guys say it dont mean that its accurate. The mileage is what it is which is why I never complained about it but its just doesnt seem ethical to have to pay 3k for repairs after a month and a half of purchasing a vehicle that Im going to end up paying $125k for.

    Sincerely,

I placed a deposit of $2,000 for the purchase of a 2018 Kenworth truck. Since no purchase was completed and no contract was signed,I did not agree to forfeit the deposit nor did I receive any merchandise. I have made multiple attempts to request a refund. Therefore, the company is not entitled to retain the funds.

I contacted HEC Leasing, spoke with a sales rep over the phone, about purchasing a truck did the credit process and was approved. In the excitement some of the things spoke of went over my head. I went through the process and the rep asked if I could ake a deposit and I did. After thinking about the price I realized it was to much and I changed my mind. And I contacted the rep and informed me I didn't want to go any further and requested a refund of the $5,000. And he said the miney would be held for whenever I wanted to buy a truck from HEC Leasing. I told him I found a truck for half the price. And asked if they issue the money back. In the email it states a Down Payment, and the sales rep told me in his text if was a deposit. I included text and the email from HEC Leasing.

I am rejecting this response because:
So their just going hold the desposit/down  payment? As I stated to the Sells Rep I don't plan to ever purchase a truck from your company and I don't want to transfer funds to someone else. I would just rather be issued a refund and not have to deal with this issue please.
    Sincerely, ******

I began a lease for a Semi Trailer truck from HEC Leasing on July 15, 2022. The truck, although leased as "used," was promised to be in excellent condition, with a warranty, and reported to have had a high-level inspection before selling it to me. Within the past ********************************************************************** several thousand dollars for repairs that are not covered by the "warranty" they boast about in sales. I have spoken with the leasing agent/VP of Sales, ****, but he advised that nothing can be done. I also spoke with his manager, who simply told me that if I do not continue to pay the weekly lease amount, additional fees will be added weekly. This response was not helpful or empathetic to me as a consumer who was essentially sold a lemon. Diagnostic report testing showed that this truck had over 5 pages of sensor resets before it was leased to me. This report was provided to me by Love's. This leads me to believe that they were aware of faulty electrical issues with the truck. This latest repair that is not covered under warranty costs over $7,000. It was explained to me by the repair shop that DOT does not allow this type of electrical harness to be repaired, and it must be replaced new. *** had to be aware of this before scamming me with this truck purchase. The costs of this repair needs to be refunded to me in addition to the other ridiculous costs of repairs within the past 3 months. For example, last week I had to purchase all 4 new batteries for the truck because they had low cranking amps and would not start the truck in the cold conditions. This costs over $1,000. Even down to the small issues such as the windshield wiper flying off the first time I used them. There is no way this truck was fully inspected as they claimed.

Yesterday both **** and ****** spoke to ***** on the phone.  None of these issues were discussed.  They discussed helping figure out payments while you are truck is down and they never heard anything else.  We ran your mileage and it appears that you have averaged ****** miles per month in the last 90 days.  This is average if not above average for single drivers in the trucking business. Prior to delivery our trucks go through an extensive predelivery process.  This truck passed all inspections including DOT and inspections for the warranty.  This is a used truck and you will have maintenance costs. Per your lease agreement that was signed - we do not refund repair invoices.  If you have further issues you will need to call our office to discuss. ************
