I purchased this MG in the fall of 2023 for $34,500. Prior to buying the car I had several conversations with owner Jeff F******. He represented the auto to be in excellent/very good condition.
    2. Prior to purchasing the car I had it inspected by 2 mechanics purportedly familiar with MG’s of a similar vintage. They advised me that the MG was in Very good condition.
    4. I encountered difficulty starting the car and as a result had the MG towed to a garage for repair.
    5. The garage a I used specializes in the maintenance and repair of vintage sports cars.
    6. The car was examined carefully and as a result I have had to have the following repairs, some of which are ongoing.
    A. The purchase and installation of a new fuel pump.
    B. The purchase of a hard to find rebuilt starter motor and parts.
    7. Thus far my repairs have cost well over $2500. This does not include the labor for the starter motor and parts. I note that because of the starter motor placement it took 4 hours to remove the original. I have not as yet been charged for this labor or the time necessary to install the parts which have been ordered from a firm in AZ. I estimate an additional chargein excess of $1000 for the labor.
Conclusion. I purchased this car believing that it was in very good condition. I understand that the mechanic’s who I employed concluded the car was a “very nice car.” I don’t believe they test drove the car but they said they did start it.
I also fully recognize that I bought the car as is.
I have just recently advised The Frazier owners, Jeff F****** and his daughter Caitlin of the above facts. I have not received a response from them.
I submit this as a description of my experiences with this car for informational purposes and not as either an accusation or complaint.

*** ******** We are very frustrated with this situation for several reasons. The first is that you were provided an incredibly good car, but also a car that is over 76 years old. When you purchased this vehicle, you signed an as-is agreement after having not one, but two independent pre-purchase inspections by reputable and veteran mechanics. In doing so, you agreed to take on ANY AND ALL repairs that come from having purchased a seven-decade-old car.
Secondly, you stated to us several times the car would be garaged throughout the winter as you purchased this car in the late months of 2023. ANY collector car dealer, buyer, and connoisseur understands this is a detriment to the vehicle. Letting a car of that age sit does indeed lead to issues later when you go to move it, the first almost always being the fuel pump.
Thirdly, We actively were in contact with you for many months after you received the car because you had such difficulties with the title in the state of New Jersey which we diligently worked to make right for you more than 3 times at no cost to you, though it cost us a great deal of time, money, and effort. Not once in any of those interactions did you ever mention issues with the vehicle.
Lastly, when we finally did hear of your difficulties with the vehicle, nearly seven months after you purchased it, you WERE responded to swiftly. Caitlin was out of the country and you received an OOO e-mail from her, Jeff responded at 3:07 pm on April 15 with the following e-mail:
    Mo 04/15/24 15:07
    Jeff (******************)
    To: ***** ******** *****,
I received and read your email. I must candidly tell you as I read this that I shrug my shoulders and think "well welcome to the old car world", this is what you agreed to when you signed an as-is agreement and these are the sorts of things that happen with vintage cars.
If the car does not work for you I am sure we can ship it here and get your purchasing funds back. Good TC cars are still pulling good money and I still get a random comment about the "TC I last had.
I am sorry this has not worked for you but really, this is the nature of the beast.
Let me know if you would want me to remarket it for you.
    Be well
    Jeff F******
So clearly, we did not ignore you, we even offered to remarket the vehicle for you. Furthermore, you never called to even discuss things like adults. You sheepishly e-mailed only Caitlin, then when you did not receive a response from her, you only forwarded that same e-mail to Jeff. We are unsure if you ever received the response, or if you just did not like the response you were given, but we can prove that it was sent. You had every opportunity to call us and speak about any difficulties and options we could work out for you on this vehicle in the seven months that you have had it, but you never did.
We ask that you call us at your earliest convenience to discuss these matters as adults who contractually agreed that all future services and needs of a vintage, 76-year-old vehicle were the responsibility of the buyer, rather than hiding behind a computer screen. We would have gladly helped you at any point just as we had with the title. But we do not take kindly to being slandered online when we have been at your service from the very first moment of contracting this car.

Slandering occurs when one alleges false and inaccurate facts. I have endeavored to state exactly what occurred and what can be proven by specific documentation.. Moreover I'm not sleepish about this or anything else. I', a retired 34 year criminal trial prosecutor. I sent Frazier and his daughter a letter describing this ordeal and never received a response .
The vehicle was delivered to me by a angry Ukrainian gentleman who spoke no english and communicated only through his smart phone. He refused to let me take control of the car on the truck and as a result broke the starter cable. The car was rolled off his truck and pushed into my garage. After the cable was fixed I did subsequently start the car. The fuel pump did not engage properly nor was the starter functioning in proper fashion. I tried to register the car in New Jersey. They rejected the Kentucky title on 2 separate occasions at two separate locations. Co owner Caitlin F****** was extremely helpful and sent me a TN title, the first of which was damaged in shipment. The second TN title was accepted by NJ. I have thanked her for all her efforts as she was always extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with.
The car was kept in my garage throughout the winter because of the snow and salt with the battery alway kept charged. This spring I attempted to use the car and enchanted the issues that I precisely and honestly described previously. As I have explained my MG is still in the shop because of difficulties encountered with obtaining a rebuilt starter.
Notwithstanding Jeff F******** dismissal, I have previously owned 2 MG TC's, 2 MGA's and a TR 4 and TR Spitfire. I have quite frankly never either experienced nor endured anything remotely similar to this experience.
Lastly. as I have stated previously, I am not filing a complaint as I acknowledge I bought this car as is. Moreover I do not suggest or allege that Frazier Motor car knowingly and intentionally provided me with a defective car. I have just endeavored to describe what I am going through and how frustrating and expensive it has been, PS I never received a response but am confident that one was sent. I have as of now invested $33,500 on October 4th, over $2000 to NJ Tax and $2500 thus far for the repair with at least another $1000 for the yet uncharged labor costs. In retrospect I understand that difficulties can and do occur with a 75 year old car. However I fully expected to receive a car that, although represented to be in Very Good/excellent condition would actually start

As a post script, my MG was returned to me Monday, April 29th. I have thus far spent approx. $4000 for a fuel pump, a rebuilt starter motor and parts and labor. The MG was represented to be in excellent condition. I had an onsite inspection conducted by 2 Nashville MG Club members who found the car to be in good condition. I purchased the MG knowing it was 75 years old. Nevertheless it evidenced problems starting when it was delivered. It was immediately stored and after the winter it wouldn’t start. Despite Jeff F******** pointed innuendos regarding my ignorance and sheepishness, my experience has been just terrible. Whatever I have written on this site can be documented for the time sequence and costs.
