On Wednesday, 2/19, in the ***** we had icy roads and freezing temps. My hot water heater (in the garage) was leaking and sizzling. I contacted my home warranty company (First American Home) to put in a claim (#*********). They contracted Delta Home ******* and Heating Services LLC; DBA Rescue Your Air and Drain to come out to check my water heater. On Thursday, 2/20, in the ***** the technician came to check out the water heater. He said that he was going to order a new one and then left. He did turn the water on the hot waterside off so it would stop leaking, although it kept dripping until the hot water was replaced 2 weeks later. My hot water heater was covered through my home warranty, but the contractors texted me to let me know that there was a charge of $475 for noncovered cost, which they did not let me know what that was until the day of installation, on 3/6 when they brought me the invoice. On the morning of Tuesday, 3/4, I did not hear from anyone and decided to text the dispatcher, to ask if a technician will be installing the water heater that day. Their response was that the technician had an emergency and that they would have to reschedule to Thursday, 3/6. On the 6th, the technicians arrived to install. ***, the technician, told me to go turn the hot water side of the faucet in the kitchen and the bathtub on. The water ran, then slowly stopped in both (the water pressure got low). I told him that the water stopped running in both the sink and the tub, but he said that that was what he needed it to do. *** said that I should expect to have hot water in 3 hours. I did not have hot water that afternoon and low water pressure. I contacted my warranty company for the to contact the contractor. The dispatcher contacted me to let me know that the appointment was scheduled Wednesday, 3/12. A technician fixed the mistake on 3/12. Very unprofessional. Communicated through text message only. I deserve a refund back of $475 for my inconvenience.

All labor warranties are handled through your home warranty company and we responded accordingly.  There will not be a refund

I am rejecting this response because: Yes the claim was handled through my home warranty, but the contacting company set the appointments not the home warranty company and could have better assisted. A home warranty claim doesn't give the contractor the right to treat people unfairly. Rescue Your Air and Drains are very unprofessional. They need to give an explanation of why it took them 4 weeks to get things right.

      Sincerely,

      ******* *****

They were supposed to replace our piping yesterday but they called at the end of the day to tell us that they didn't have the part after telling us that they would be at our house between 12 and 5. We took off of work for them to tell us at the end if the day which was around 4 is and they closed at 5 to tell us they couldn't find the part. Now today in 11-22-24 they still have not contacted us after we took off another day of work. We have called them several times and ***** has called us back or informed us of anything. This is ridiculous and very unprofessional. And have the audacity to charge us 475 dollars to repair the pipe. REDICULOUS!!!!

The company was called to review a leak in the public lobby bathroom at the office. We assumed the leak was from the toilet, but uncertain. The company sent an employee and he replaced the seal on the toilet. The leak continued and the owner was sent to further investigate. **** the owner came to the office and evaluated the bathroom and could not find where the standing water in the floor was coming from. He suggested the wall be cut open to determine if there was a leak in the plumbing in the wall. After cutting into the wall from the office behind the bathroom wall and found there was not water in the wall. He went back in the bathroom and found the leak was coming from under the sink. The wall was taped back together and desk placed back in front of the damage. ****, one of the owner's of the company, said he would order the part to fix the sink and come back as soon as it came in. Several months later we had a different plumbing company come to the office for a different problem in a different bathroom. They did work on the previous bathroom. When I checked back with ****, he said he was told another plumber had fixed the leak. I explained that they did another bathroom and he is still responsible for the problem in the front lobby bathroom. He said he will get the part and come by to fix it as soon as possible. This has been going on since February and the sink is still not fixed. I have called to company back directly to **** and I have been hung up on and ignored. All I want is for the sink to be fixed and to move on. Rescue Your Air and Drain made a promise and did not follow through., Their lack of expertise caused damage to our property that was approved to be done, BUT very unnecessary.

On 7/25/24, this business had an employee come to our home to fix a plumbing issue - we could not run our washing machine without water spilling onto the floor. As part of the technicians testing/diagnosing the problem, he ran the washing machine and water subsequently came pouring out onto the floor. Our washing machine is on second floor, and the leak went unnoticed at first as the water soaked into the upstairs carpet. Eventually, the carpet became wet enough to where it was noticed. Soon after, we noticed from downstairs that there were water spots on the ceiling. We called company and asked them to help fix the issue since it was their techs neglect to clean up a leak that he caused by running the washing machine. The employee in the office has been great throughout this process, but the general manager has been the opposite. She has told us at least a dozen times that h*** call us, and he has called exactly oncea month ago nowto say that his tech took pictures and they have proof that the ceiling damage was there before the tech came. Weve since learned that he lied about that - there are no pictures evidencing such (because it isnt true). In the time we waited on him to call us back and do something about it, our first floor ceiling fell in and damaged the first story floor as well. Due to the lack of response from the company, **** filed a home insurance claim and are having to pay our deductible plus future increased premiums from submitting the claim. We have asked the company to make it right, and/ or at the very least talk to us about it but the general manager refuses to have a second conversation with us. Were filing this complaint with two competing objectives: first, what we hope is that the company will do the right thing and pay for the damage that the neglect of their tech caused. Second, if they refuse, then our objective is to spread word of this and prevent others from making the mistake of entrusting their homes to this company.

They installed a new flusher for our toilet and did not do it correctly. So now our toilet bowl does not fill up properly. They will not come back out to fix the issue unless we pay again.

I called my warranty Company, **************************, Mon., 09/25/27, to schedule service for my kitchen sink which was not allowing water to flow thru as it should, a total stoppage. They dispatched Rescue Your Air/Drain **************. They had an arrival window of **** p.m. to arrive, and got to my home at 2:00.....I called my husband to see if they'd gotten there and he stated they'd just walked in at 2:00......he noted that the gentleman did not introduce himself and was not at all friendly or courteous.....However, he worked on the sink, got it unclogged, but LEFT the DRAINAGE PIPES underneath the sink, "LOOSE AND DRIPPING ONTO MY CABINET FLOORING, and onto my feet when I stood at the sink to begin preparing veggies for dinner. This water build up from his mishap, has caused my FLOORING underneath the sink to fall inward on the floor's LEFT SIDE, AND SWELL AND LIFT ON THE RIGHT SIDE. The Plumber was SCHEDULED/DISPATCHED TO CHECK THE WATER PRESSURE IN THE KITCHEN SINK. AS WELL, he was scheduled to check the Master Bedroom's Shower and the problem with the low pressure of water coming out. AFTER CHECKING THE SHOWER AND TAKING IT LOOSE, HE INFORMED MY HUSBAND THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO ORDER A NEW SHOWERHEAD AND COME BACK TO INSTALL IT. Well, after I asked him about the time frame for completing the shower, immediately after he finished tightening up the plumbing which he left loose the day before, he asked me, What Did I Mean....I said, you check my shower and I then told him what he informed my husband of - the day before....HE DENIED IT ALL!!!! He said he found that there was nothing wrong with the shower when h checked it, the water pressure was as it should be and he didn't even have to take it loose to check it.....I just stood there and looked at him, then I asked, YOU ARE THE ONE WHOWS HERE YESTERDAY< CORRECT? He said Yes, and after I saw nothing was wrong, I told your husband nothing except it works fine, and that he didn't have to do any adjustments or anything......THE SHOWER PRESSURE IS LIKE SPRINKES OF RAIN WATER SINCE HE LEFT....IT IS CLEARLY UNUSABLE, NON-FUNCTIONAL, and 95% Worse!!!!! I then asked, if you didn't do anything - then why are there round rubber pieces of material all over my shower floor? THEN HE ADMITTED TO TAKING THE SHOWERHEAD APART/OFF TO CHECK INSIDE FOR BLOCKAGES and THE PIECE(S) were PLUMBING SEALS.....So I then said, so you did take my shower head off and check it.....he said, well, I had to do standard check....I said, yes, because you saw that it was not flowing properly, but you preciously said you didn't, until i asked what this black rubber thing is that you left on the floor. he tried to put this in his pocket and i asked him to give it to me, which he then did. WHATEVER HE DID, made the flow a slight drizzle, and no longer a constant shower flow....IT IS NOW, TOTALLY DYSFUNCTIONAL! HE SAID "if" THE COMPANY REPLACES IT, IT WILL BE A VERY SMALL SHOWER HEAD AND NOT THE VERY LARGE ONE I HAVE NOW; THAT'S WHEN i SAID, THEIR JOB/YOUR JOB IS TO REPLACE, REPAIR TO THE STANDARDS INSTALLED, QUALITY INSTALLED, PRODUCT AND PRICE/COST FOR WHAT I CURRENTLY HAVE; I ADVISED HIM THAT I'LL TAKE IT UP WITH YOUR COMPANY AND MY WARRANTY COMPANY, WHICH I HAVE ALREADY DONE, IMMEDIATELY AFTER HIS SEPARTURE FROM MY HOME.

In regards to your shower head.  I checked with your home warranty. They will replace with chrome.  Builders grade.  As close to style as can be reasonably found. Finish is not matched.  Informed tech   Option 2. You can take a cash in lieu and the home warranty company will send you a check for the repair; let our office know and they will take care of that and cancel Mondays appointment

Rescue Your Air and Drain damaged the compressor and charged the customer with the cost of the compressor and Freon replacement. The repair was not performed properly and the unit not staying on properly.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 08/30/2023

The diagnosis of the problem was inconclusive and wrong because of the technician telling the American Home Scheld that the compressor had failed and that it cost the homeowner $700.00 to fix the problem and after changing the compressor the air conditioner unit is not functioning properly!

      Address:

We have no record of a compressor being installed at this address.  Further, we do not install compressors unless it is for home warranty company.  If it is a home warranty call; all non covered costs can be addressed with them.  We simply report what needs to be done and they determine who pays for what.

Lastly, we would not have caused your compressor to fail if it is a home warranty claim.  There would clearly have been a failure that we would diagnose and follow through with repair.

Again. I have no record of a compressor install at this address therefore no way to accurately address any issue.

Yes correct.  The filter drier should have been changed during the install of the compressor in August.  As it was not and there was a continued problem, we sent the installer back free of charge to replace it.  Only out of pocket expenses you should have had is from the install of the warranty compressor.

My air unit stopped forworking August 2nd I filed a request for service with American Home Shield.Rescue Your Air/DRAIN came out on August 4th stated that a new compressor was needed and that they would contact AHS. After Rescue Air/Drain spoke with AHS the compressor was ordered if we agreed to pay any/all fees not covered by AHS (up to *******) we agreed. The part was ordered...a service date was scheuled via text on August 16th for August 22nd. Later the same day a text rescheduling the service date for August 31 was sent stating that one of the technicians was sick and the other one had a death in the family. Several attempts were made to ****** with some one phone was never answered. Contacted AHS to inform them of the situation on August 17th..left all information (******************* was told a supervisor would contact me on the Aug. 18th after they contacted Rescue A/D. Did NOT get a call back....called back on the 28th(******) assured me that a supervisor would contact me on the 19th....did NOT call. I attempted 3 times on Sunday Aug. 20 to speak with a supervisor I was unable too. Its HOT over 100 degree...here in *******. I need another service company, AHS can not get in contact with Rescue A/D. AHS will not honor their contract with me. I do see where **** has been in contact via text and phone on rescheduling this call for August 31.  Unfortunately, we cannot control anything that happens at your home warranty company and we respond to them when they send us a request for information.  From our very general knowledge with AHS, you should have the opportunity to cancel the work order through AHS with RYAD and request a different contractor at any time.

Rescue Your Air and Drain had an employee come out to our home through First ******** and he falsified documents regarding the work order. He came out 3 times and the first 2 times, he said it was one issue and after the 3 time he said it was another. He said we broke our pump and now needed a plumber. We took pictures and spoke to the manager/co owner **** and he denied any of this. The worst part is he stopped answering our calls and even had his customer ********************** rep to hang up on me after I explained how I knew they were being dishonest. I've been without air since the end of May. I currently still don't have any air. I've talked to so many customer ********************** representatives and supervisors and still no luck! I've had to pay $680.45 out of my pocket for modifications they said I had to pay. A compressor has been replaced, but I still don't have air. A fan blower motor has been replaced and I still don't have any air. It's like they don't know what they're doing! I simply need a brand new unit instead of them trying to patch things. My unit was built in ****. All I want is my air to work for me and my kids. I've been out of so much money staying from place to place. Rescue Your Air & Drain phone number is: ************.

I do see we replaced a compressor on 7/24 and a blower on 8/1   Unfortunately, your home warranty company will only replace the failure at hand.  I see we had an appointment on August 3, and you could not make the time frame.  We are on the schedule for August 7.  If you would like to transfer the call to a different company, please reach out to your home warranty company.
