My home warranty company First American sent Rescue Your Air and Drain out to my home 05-16-2023 due to my jetted tub not draining properly. The Tech that was sent out broke my drain and I asked him to report it to the insurance company so that it could be fixed. I confronted the Tech outside prior to him leaving my house about the broken drain and the tech stated he had a hard time removing hair that was stuck in the drain from the previous owners. The tech did not report that he broke my drain so I reported it and of course the tech denied the damage. I then called First American back and was told my contract does not cover damage caused my contractors and that I would need to contact Rescue for next steps. I contacted the contractor and was told by someone name ******* that because their tech said he didnt break the drain then there was nothing they could do to help me and that I would need to file a new claim (meaning pay for their technician damage). Very unprofessional, no one calls back when they say they will and only cares about the money. I paid $85 dollars to my insurance company to have someone come out to fix the slow drain and I received more damage in return.

We have no record on any damage.  We did record where the customer wants the tub stopper replaced; however that would require a new work order.  The customer can place the work order and we will address tub stopper.

I am rejecting this response because: I confronted the tech that came out to replace what he broke. If the drain was broken before he came I would have put that on the order. When I confronted the tech about the damage he stated it happened because he had a hard time getting the hair out the drain from the previous owners. I requested that he report the damage so that it could be fixed. Instead of report this damage he lied that I just casually asked for it to be replaced. The customer ********************** of this business is horrible and unprofessional. Automatically assuming the customer is lying about a complaint. Instead of correcting your technician damage your resolution is making the customer pay for your damage.

      Sincerely,

      *************************

While we appreciate your point of view. The technician has been with us for a very long time and has no reason to "lie" about a damage.   Feel free to reach out to your home warranty again to place a work order on the tub stopper that is broken.

Hot Water Tank ] To whom it may concern. I have been going around in circles with American Home Shield and Rescue Your Air and Drain /Delta Home Cooling and HTG Service regarding my Hot Water Tank. American Home Shield contracted Rescue Your Air and Drain/Delta Home Cooling and HTG Service to evaluate the issue of ***** water coming from my Hot Water Tank. (Rescue My Air installed the tank in **************************************************** the year 2016. The tank is a A/******* 1620A015991). Rescue My Air and Drain reported their findings to AHS as follows: The tank has: Chemical /Sedimentary Build-UP. Per AHS the contract will not cover this because this isn't considered normal wear and tear. Neither party wants to take the responsibility of replacing/repairing the tank. Conclusion, the burden of proof shouldnt be on the customer. I feel that if the tank they installed last year was ACTUALLY NEW ...I wouldnt be experiencing these ONGOING issues of the ***** water. The city has evaluated /flushed the water system but found no problems. This issue has dragged on for months now. I am needing a resolution. Please help. Sincerely ******************

couple of things.   this is an American Home Shield complaint.  Has nothing to do with us.  We install the equipment American Home Shield supplies.  We can only do what the home warranty company pays for.

Date of transaction: August 11, 2022. A plumber came to my home at 10 a.m., to evaluate my toilet. I put in a warranty claim at First American, the previous week. I told the plumber that some pieces had fallen off the back of the toilet the last time I had flushed it and water flowed out. There was a pressure and a pop. I showed him the pieces. Moments later he came out and told me to call the warranty company. The warranty company told me that something hit my toilet and its not covered. I live alone, I was in the restroom when it happened, nothing hit the toilet. I asked for a thorough investigation and written explanation. The plumber was extremely unprofessional and I do not trust his judgment. After, I told him what happened when I had flushed the toilet he flushed the toilet and water ran onto the floor. He did nothing but stepped in it and walked out. I was in a bit of shock. I have laminate wood flooring and he didnt care he even left his soiled foot prints. (I am asking for a written evaluation of his assessment).

This is a home warranty issue.  The customer can file any ******************** complaint against the warranty company they want.  After we submitted all information to the customers home warranty; the home warranty company determined it to be not normal wear and tear.   Please move this complaint to the home warranty in question.  The customer has many options with the home warranty company including requesting a second opinion from another contractor to help with their dispute with them.  This is beyond our control.
