      Extremely disappointed with American Home Shield. I submitted a claim for HVAC service, and the contractor they sent made things worse. Instead of fixing the issue, they damaged my system beyond repair. Now Im left without air conditioning during extreme heat which is even more devastating since I have a special needs child in the home. AHS has refused to take full responsibility, and their customer ********************** has been unhelpful and dismissive. This experience has caused real harm to my familys well-being. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

      Hello, I am writing to request the cancellation of my account, which I recently signed up for starting July 28, 2025. I have learned online that American Home Shield offers a multi-property discount; however, when I inquire about it, I am unable to receive any information or assistance. I have also attempted to cancel my policy but have faced difficulties, including being unable to speak with a manager or supervisor, as my calls are disconnected or not returned. I would appreciate your prompt assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you.

      I am currently being ******* on a hot water replacement, and no one will help me dispute the charges. They put me on hold as if they are going to transfer me to someone and then it disconnects. They REFUSE to send me a copy of the estimate.

      They sent out a company to replace my water heater, even though they were not registered with the city and were unable to pull a permit. This put my house sale in jeopardy. Just because your license doesnt mean youre registered with the local government to pull a permit. The woman at American home shield actually laughed as I made my complaint because she said it was for me to deal with the contractor and she said it would not have given them his information unless he was legal to work on my Water Heater. I told him theres a difference between being licensed and being registered with the city. This made the Water Heater permit situation very volatile and it is yet to be resolved requirement.I recorded the conversation so its up for anyone to listen to

      This started back on May 19th 2025 regarding a simple call to repair my refrigerator long story short 4 weeks later after 4 attempts by their assigned appliance repair company I settled for a cash offer, I had a local company fix my refrigerator the following in 2 trips, Now I have been trying to cancel nobody answers the line it times out after 5 minutes I do not receive responses back on the text chat either here is the cancellation number on their web site BBB won't let me leave it but you can go on their web site and try it for yourself I'm trying to stop payment through my bank. Horrible customer ********************** shady business practices by this company I think one reviewer called them American Horror Story which is a good description I will never use a home warranty company again, I will leave my home expenses and repairs in my own destiny the amount of time I have devoted to this is ridiculous

      Company is a bunch of frauds. I've been paying for 4 years and I try to make a claim. The contractor never came out but filed a claim with the company that he did. I have spent hours on the phone and can't get anyone on the phone to even talk to me.

      Im seriously disappointed with how things have gone with American Home Shield.First off, my renewal fee went up without any notice. I didnt agree to that, and I definitely wasnt told ahead of time. Thats not ******** that Im trying to cancel, I cant even get through to anyone. Ive been on hold for over 3 hours, multiple times, and no one ever answers. Its honestly ridiculous.On top of that, the actual service is a mess. Every time I put in a request, you assign a provider, and then the appointment gets canceled and pushed back. This has happened more than once, and when you have a toddler at home and things that need fixing, that delay isnt just inconvenient. Its stressful and unfair.I want my subscription canceled **** and I expect a refund for the renewal charge I didnt authorize.

      Claim opened on April 15th for AC unit not working and its July 7th 2025 with claim still pending. Currently weather is super hot over 100 degrees, calling American Shield almost every other day but no relief. They keep on saying parts ordered and will arrive soon. Its been almost three months now but pending work order has not been completed. I highly suggest against signing a contract with American Shield. Worst service

      DO NOT USE AHS! they have terrible customer ********************** and horrible response times!!! Wish I could get a refund. we have been without AC for 9 days and cant get an honest answer or quote from them.

      I would choose a "0", but it won't let me. AHS is about the worst *** to work with. My AC went out in early May and here it is 2 months later and I'm still having issues with them. I've asked them to cancel my policy and claim and they won't do that either. I asked the technician about why its taking so long because he knew I needed a new unit a month ago and he said it's because he has to do what they say. AHS chooses the *** they want you to go with and Arts Heating and Cooling is who they chose and their service is terrible too. If you go to their website the reviews are horrible. I've told AHS numerous times I want someone else to come out and they won't do that either. Here it is 90 + degrees outside and I can't get any help. I would never use American Home Shield EVER at this point. When I bought my home I had a warranty on my home for 1 yr. and it worked great. No run around and straight to the point and got a new dishwasher and I got to pick it out myself. Terrible Terrible service from AHS. I would NOT recommend using American Home Shield.
