It should be illegal to run such an important service as terribly as these people do. They are hurting people. They are ruining lives. Its clear that they do not care. Their job is to try and make it so you get nothing. Period.

I was diagnosed with cancer in March 2022. I had to jump through several hoops to even get short term disability approved while I was hospitalized for an entire month. The second month after, my doctor wanted me to take it off to rest and adjust while going through 2 months straight of daily chemotherapy. They denied it. My doctor has filled out the same form over 3 times, and when I brought it up, the agent said "(my) insurance company is hard to deal with", yet I confirmed with my insurance company that paperwork is sent within 72 hours at most, but usually 24 hours. I ran out of hours on a claim and was not told anything until threatened with my job by my employer. They moved it over to a new type of claim, but the hours are not the same, nor are they telling me if absences are being denied. Which they shouldn't even be denying because I know for a fact that they're getting the appointment information (which I had to do a release of information over 4 times). I have yet to get ahold of a case manager, every time I try to she's "on another line". This is absolutely ridiculous and unethical, I would give 0 stars if I would.

Sedgwick is a third party claim administrator which simply means a third party between a business and client, aka middleman. They are compensated to help business using their service, and designed to protect business and reduce losses. They act like and often IMPLY they are the Insurance Carrier. See their responses to other complaints to confirm. It was suggested that clients are NOT required to work with them for settlement from Business based upon contact to Insurance Commissioner in my State. We had the extreme displeasure of having a loss with the ********** involving water damage due to a negligent installation evidenced by their own specialists under formal visit and evidence of damages. Sedgwick immediately took stance of Insurance Carrier trying to mitigate loss. They even falsely suggested they had no pics of loss and damage. They also demanded we work thru them or no resolve would be provided. Abusive and harassing is how we felt and now moving to possible Legal Resolve which will cost business more than to have worked directly with client.

My storage unit was broken into almost 5 months ago! Im still waiting on my payment. They do not return emails or calls. I have left several messages and emails. Im still waiting on a response from them. I often wonder if the whole business is a scam. I do not understand how hard it could be to simply do your job in a timely fashion. Im strongly considering a law suit against them. If you can avoid dealing with this company, I would but I couldnt.

They say they are not insurance companies. So how can they be a third party for claims?

I had filed a complaint about my GE dishwasher leaking and ruining my floor. I had sent pics and estimate to Sedgwick and they have yet to response.

My floors were damaged by **********s subcontractor. The damage was done and reported on June 28 and today is July 7th and I am yet to receive a call or email from the company that they outsourced it to. The claims customer service agent, wont return any phone calls, she just chooses to sit behind her desk and email me phone numbers which dont work. Im constantly having to email and call as if Im on payroll because Im doing all the work. This is absolutely ridiculous. I left a voicemail for her supervisor to contact me immediately. ********** is a joke and the companies that they outsource their work out to are as well. I spent well over seven grand with this company, ********** to move into my house only to have my new refrigerator delivered, damaged, my washer was the incorrect one, rather than making it right, they ********** made me purchase a additional washer the correct one instead of just charging me the difference because of their inconvenience. It gets better, they charge me for installation for my new dishwasher that they didnt even install. Matter of fact its still sitting in my dining room, my waterline for my ice maker wasnt installed. After paying for and ordering my new washer, they didnt place a order to pickup the old one only to deliver the new one. Guess what, they took the old washer which was new back to the warehouse and didnt give me credit for it, I had to call them and raise *************** to get my money back. When their third party company delivered my current washer on June 28th, I asked the delivery guy if he was going to run a test cycle and he said yes, not paying attention, he didnt even install the drain hose, only for me to return 19 minutes later to see water all over my hardwood floor.I, immediately contacted ********** and they placed a claim with Sedgwick the same day and Im really Angry ?? that these two companies are giving me the runaround. Im very unhappy with this entire situation.
