      This business said they wld get rid of bed bugs. They came once and never returned. I was told appointments were made and they never showed after the first treatment. They broke their contract and still want to charge me full price. They told me to call smac so I did. I was told there my credit card was taken off file yet it kept getting charged until I had to cancel my card. This contract was in January haven't seen them since. When there contract says they guarantee to get rid of the bed bugs. I have paid them over $500. I feel that is plenty for only showing once. I want this off of my credit report. I dnt see why I would pay them over $1000 when they broke their contract and never returned. I do have photos of the bed bugs as well as txts thru the employees being rude and telling us they were making appointments and never did. I also am keeping every bed bug that I happen to find for evidence.

      On February 8, 2022, my wife paid $1580.00 to the local Terminix Co. for a 2-year exclusion contract. Work was done in February. In late June we discovered a rat infestation. We made 4 calls over 2 weeks to the local Terminix office to schedule service; each time we were told that the service provider would contact us to schedule a site visit. No calls were received. During that period we trapped ~20 rats on our own. During July I have called 4 times to cancel the service agreement. The national office has refunded $180.00 and explained that the local manager will determine the prorated refund for the remainder and contact us within 48 hours. We are now on our 3rd attempt at this, but still no calls come from the local office. The local office needs to refund us for 19 of the 24 months' contract and contact us with confirmation of this.

      Dear BBB Representative,

      After speaking with the customer, we have decided a refund isn’t warranted. Please be advised that an Exclusion service was sold to the customer in February. The customer stated that she wanted half of the first year back for the exclusion work that we completed. The exclusion work was completed correctly, and our service manager approve it.  Mrs. ******** even stated that she did not have a rat issue until a month ago.

      I explained to the customer that she received the service that she paid for, and the guarantee would be honored if she kept the service, but she was adamant about keeping the account cancelled. The customer cancelled the service, which in turn cancelled her warranty. Today I informed the customer that we could not refund any additional funds, other than the $180 that was previously refunded for the renewal.

      We contracted with Terminix on 12/4/21 for the amounts of 6500 for gutter work, 1200 for special insulation to help with a bat problem in our attic, an exclusion for bats and mice which cost us 2800. Im writing this complaint as of 7/26/22. It has been 8 months and the gutters still arent finished, left sagging in multiple places, no corners, and while they did the gutters they damaged the gas exhaust vent to the water heater and now we have fumes coming into our home. They couldnt fix the bat problem nor mice. We paid in full for the bat exclusion and insulation which is now recovered in bat feces and will have to be ripped out. They are currently trying to bill me for the gutter work they havent finished. Due to the gutters not being finished for over a year we have moisture in the basement that created mold. They did not uphold their promise to finish the gutters or exclude the bats. Their employees reek of ********* if they even show up and lie to their manager about work being completed when I have pictures to prove that it is not and their failure to uphold their promises has resulted in more damage to the house which has yet to be fixed. What this has done to my mental health and the stress that this is causing for my girlfriend who has had 5 brain surgeries and two confirmed heart attacks is unbelieveable. Sadly, as I look at all the complaints its undeniable that the 3600+ horror stories sound exactly like ours. We have contacted lawyers and will try to start a class action lawsuit. I would like to ask the bbb to help resolve this by asking for full refunds and a cancellation of the gutter contract but at this point too many people have been ruined by this company and it feels selfish and indifferent to not take legal action.

      07/10/22 ****** ****** was to come and inspect house He was to call a half hour before arriving No call ever came he dropped his card in the door left no one could contact him the rest of that day supervisors or main office ****** returned on 7/11/22 to do the inspection ****** looked around for about 20 minutes never looking inside where the rat problem was went in basement and looked outside at foundation. ****** stated he wasnt sure if they could sell the exclusion package to us because he didnt know if they could fix the one spot ****** stated multiple times the pest control program covered everything including the rat problem the only actually problem we have ****** stated he would not turn the contract in until he had clarification from others and his supervisor weather they could do the exclusion said hear from him on Friday we never heard from ****** ever again he never answers his phone ****** was to also get us a 50 discount that was emailed to me but he couldnt figure out how to make it work never heard back on that 7/13/22 1247 pm received a text from ***** ****** he was on his way to my house to do pest control no half hour notification text 2 minutes from my house I was not home my wife was ***** ***** stated to her he was there to do Termite control which she said no we dont have termites we have rats ***** looked confused and called his Boss afterwards he continued to do Termite traps he was at the house for just over an hour the only Treatment done for rats was small small glue traps put in the basement rats are in our living space not the basement tried to schedule a fol*** up for the rat problem no one called or showed called main terminix number First Lady tried to set me up with a house inspection again then we call back told we dont have rat coverage after being assure we did web price says 119 quarter they tell us now it’s 102.47 month so why the false advertising we want money back we paid and contract void they cant uphold there end

      Dear Sir/Madam,

      This letter will serve as Terminix’s official reply to a a complaint received by your organization from a Mr. ******* **** a current customer of Terminix being service out of the *******, Pennsylvania Branch.

      Mr. **** alleges poor customer service from Terminix Outside Sales Professional ****** ******. After speaking with Mr. ****** directly about this issue I wanted to convey my findings.

      1. ****** ****** conducted a site inspection on July 10, 2022. As is protocol he should call the customer prior to arrival. As a company we do experience Cellular related service issues in that part of Pennsylvania. Mr. ****** did call prior to confirm the date and time. Our policy is not to have our Sales Personal travel in excess of 2 hours without confirmation. ****** proceeded to knock on the door. No one answered the door, so he left his business card and conducted an informal walk around of the dwelling. He did notice severe foundation issues that we could not provide services for at that time. I have attached some pictures taken by Mr. ******.
      2. ****** ****** then left the property and proceed to drive back south to *******, PA. For about half of the return trip he did not have cellular service. He then did contact the homeowner and rescheduled for a return inspection on the 11th. At that time he did a thorough full inspection of the property. There were several spots of foundation issues that could not be addressed by Terminix. ****** ****** states he did inform the customer of work limitations. With regards to scope and scale.
      3. ****** ****** did offer the Premium Pest – Termite Control Service. At which time the contract was signed by the Homeowner. At no time did ****** ****** state that this service would solve he pest/rodent problem.
      4. Course of action to be taken by Terminix is cancellation of the agreement with no cancellation fees and refund of any money already paid/received by Terminix.
      5. Any confusion on the part of ***** ****** the Terminix Innovation Tech was due to the customers misguided expectations. ***** ****** simply fol***ed the work instructions which required him to install Termite bait station and apply a Chemical application in order to address insects. Additionally, he did install several glue traps.

      However There response if full of lies about what happened and who was mislead and misguided it took months of constant calling and emailing and contacting other avenues of filing complaints before they would even respond back to me even after that it was a long drawed out mess there customer service skills are horrible they won’t return your calls they will tell you anything to sign the contract then they make it almost impossible to get out once you find you’ve been lied too this is by far the worst and most unorganized company I’ve ever dealt with even the company themselves seem to be clueless everybody you do talk to tells you something different wouldn’t recommended them to my worst enemy tread with extreme caution

      I had a Terminix salesman came to the house because we think we have chipmunks in the attic. He said they would seal any entry holes into the attic and set traps to trap any critters still in the attic after the sealing. Silly me, I assumed live traps. He also said my credit card would not be charged until the work was done. He did not look at the attic and we could be wrong. We have seen chipmunks going up and down the brick side of the house but that doesn't mean we actually have them in the attic. On Thursday, July 14 two Terminix technicians came to the house and put some black caulk here and there around the lower part of the house. We have a 2 story brick house with a finished attic. A big, high house. The technician showed me what he had done which I thought kind of sketchy and mostly unnecessary. He said someone would call to make an appointment for someone to come out to finish caulking the upper stories. He also handed me 4 packages of glue rat traps and told me to put them in my attic!!! I absolutely WILL NOT dispose of whatever gets stuck to them!! That day, July 14, I got an email from Terminix saying they had processed my credit card payment. They were not supposed to do that until the work was done. By Monday afternoon, July 18, no one had called so I called them and was told someone would call. By Thursday July 21, no one had called so I called my credit card company and they put a hold on the payment. To no one's surprise I got a call on July 22, to schedule someone to come out and finish the job. I don't want them to finish the job. I don't want to have anything to do with them. I want a refund and to cancel the contract. Since they did do some work I am not asking for a full refund but I would like MOST of my payment returned since the little they did was pretty minor and I want the contract cancelled. P.S. They can have their rat traps back.

      Thank you for taking the time to notify us of Mrs. ******* unsatisfactory experience with Terminix. We have taken every action possible to make sure that her problem is rectified, and the best possible solution is provided for her inconvenience.  ******* signed an agreement with Terminix to help control and mitigate the rodent / chipmunk issue at her home.  Services were started in July 2022, and Terminix will continue to fulfill their end of the agreement signed, by servicing the home while it is under contract.

      After further review of the account and looking into the work and photos that we completed on 7/14/22   and an extra service completed on 7/26/22 with 3 plus photos, we feel that a compromise can be made.       We moved out of our address of *** *** **. ********, MA ***** in October of 2020. We called to cancel the contract, it was not cancelled. There has still been service on the house for almost two years and we are still being charged. I have called and been on the chat with Terminix several times and they’ve told me it was cancelled and we are getting a refund. We are still being charged with no resolve. The charges are now amounting to $1,400 and we would like a refund and our account cancelled. This is unacceptable and we don’t understand why Terminix will not cancel our account and refund our money.

      I've had services for a year that includes pest control, termite services and wildlife exclusion due to ants and mice in my attic. I paid over $2000.00 for these services. I've had someone come 3 times for the exclusion portion. They were supposed to seal the home so mice cannot enter. After a year I'm still having the same problem. I called and cancelled all services. On may 25 they withdrew $268.68 from my account. I called and was informed that my services were not cancelled and they supposedly cancelled them again and told me a check would be issues on 6-1 for my refund. Never received my refund. I've spoken to several agents who have all said the same thing, they are calling a manager with no answer and leaving messages and emails in regards to my refund and I wanted a refund for the wildlife exclusion since they never resolved the issue. No one will return my calls, agents keep saying my refund wasn't approved and the managers are receiving the messages but not responding. I'm very frustrated over this and really need my money back. I've been very patient and reasonable with everyone. I don't want anyone else to go through this or waste their money on unnecessary services with a company that doesn't deliver what they promise.

      Back in April I signed up with Terminix to get rid of a mouse problem they told me they understood it was an emergency and they would be there the day after and to stay home all day and wait so I did and they never showed I called them and they said oh it was a mixup and they’ll be there the next day and they weren’t there I called them again and said listen I’ve had to kill mice with my own hands now I need some thing done and they said they would be there so after numerous promises and numerous transfers I believed them the third day comes and they still aren’t here so I called them and they made an emergency trip after literally crying on the phone to them so fast forward they said they would do a service the guy came here put two traps in the house and left and that’s the last I’ve seen all of them so I want to cancel but they keep charging me after they aren’t providing the service that I signed up for so I need to know what to do Because I don’t wanna go through that anymore they’re unreliable and I don’t have a schedule that I can wait around days for not so I want subpar service

      The customer started with Terminix in April and had service. Her tech was running late and she was notified that another tech was sent. The notes show a call in June, but no information about appointment. Her quarterly service was scheduled for 07/13/22 and she declined it at the door. I had not heard from her before now and there are no notes in regard to her calling in the system. Minus the $50 credit she received, she has paid out $206.42.  Due to her unhappiness with the service, I will be happy to refund the payment made. This is despite the fact that she declined us in July when we would have serviced her home. The refund for $206.42 has been processed and is being refunded back to the card we have on file ending in #****

      Last year, I contacted Terminix in ********, ***** and was visited by a sales Rep. ************************ I entered into an agreement which said I would pay ****** for one year (start date June 26 2021 and end date of June 26 2022. I was told after this date, my monthly payment would go down to ***** per month. Two complaints:1. No one is available ever, at the ********** to speak to...only a call center, with many different people who are not familiar with the contracts and can only reach out, by email, etc. to supervisors, who do not return phone calls.2. My property was suppose to have been expected once per year for a bait refill. I had four cancellations, with no one reaching out to me by phone, email, or my online account letting me know when the baits would be refilled. I finally had to spend at least 4 hrs. until someone at the call center sent the manager of the techs to my home who finally inspected the bait traps. There is no communication from techs and I had to call myself to even initiate an inspection of the bait traps.3. My account is still being automatically debited (received an email today, June 28th, that ****** was being pulled from my account. I called the call center and they said I should not be debited this amount, and that it was a computer error; however, when I called to check on the status of the refund to my account for the above amount, I was told this would not take place. They would not send me an email with the adjustment amount. The only one-time credit I was to receive, was one which the regional manager, ***** Siminoux (Spelling) said he would credit to my account on June 14th, in the amount of ****** and some odd cents for the numerous cancellations and no shows due to the technichians.4. I have called the customer service number at least 12 times today, and no one can tell me when my account will be debited correctly for *****. I spoke with a rep several months ago, Ariella, who said my contract ended May 28, 2022.
