    Dear Sir:


    I am writing to you to file a complaint on the following company: J & J Appliance Repair, Memphis, Tn. 38141. 
    Owner: ******* ******


    On 2/3/2025, Mr. ****** came to my home to repair my Dryer that was making a loud rattling noise.. He advised that he did an internal clean out of the 
    dryer & serviced all moving parts as well as cleaning out the pulley vent.  He replaced NO PARTS and when he left the rattling nose was WORSE.
    Including the service call, he charged me a total of $178.00.


    On 2/4/25 @6:22 pm, I sent him a text requesting a refund of of $100.00 for the $178.00 he charged me BECAUSE he did not fix the problem and after he took the dryer apart, the rattling noise was worse.
    I requested an answer after speaking to his wife who was with him on the call & she advised she would get back to me.. as of today. 2/14/2025 I have not heard from them ! !~ !


    On his service ticket to me he wrote a 30 day warranty for cleaning, service & labor only . 


    On 2/6/25 @ 6:35 pm, I sent another text requesting he text me for his approval to refund me $100.00 . On that same day (2/6/25), I have proof that he read my text request. as of 2/14/25, still no call of text with regard to my request to him.


    I also wanted to discuss with him damage to my dryer plate cover I found after he left, the plate was broken. 


    Last week, I had another service company repair my dryer. With parts all parts, it is costing me right at $300 to repair my dryer. 


    I will close by saying that I was trying to be fair, since he did not fix my problem. But even more than that, is that I have contacted them twice in the 
    last 11 days for an answer & they continue to ignore me.


    A very poor & unprofessional way to treat a customer who did business with them in the past.

    Hello,

    I told Mr. **** about the service charge. We took the dryer a part and the front bulkhead off to clean the vents. Mr. **** said, he didn't want to pay no more than $200 while we were there.  It was nothing more I could do with the ** Dryer. I would have had to put more money into the dryer than what he wanted to pay.
