    I purchased a Land rover evoque last year year in April and just recently had to replace the battery in the only key fob provided during the purchase. When I opened the fob there is no actual key in the fob. Which is a major inconvenience and quite costly. I purchased this as is but at no time would I have ever considered I needed to open the fob to ensure there was a key. It is expected from buyers that this is a necessity and would be provided. I have reached out through their website and spoke to a gentleman named ***** who stated he would help anyway he could. Once I talked to him he stated he forwarded my info to someone named ******* and I have not heard anything else. I am simply asking to have a actual key whether its an extra they may have had or if one needs to be created provided. I know nothing about how to go about having one made without the original key to create one.

    Pre Owned vehicles only come with the key or keys we receive with the vehicle, they do not always come with 2 keys.  This would have been at the time of purchase, not one year later.  The newer vehicle have a key fob which is what is used to lock, unlock, and start the vehicle which you received at the time of delivery.  My appologies that the vehicle you purchased only came with one key.  There is no liability to The Auto Collection of Murfreesboro to furnish a second key for any vehicle unless this is agreed upon at the time of purchase and stated in writing on the due bill.  Thank you.

    I am rejecting this response because: I did not receive 1 key I received 1 fob with no key inside the fob so if something happens to the fob I cannot drive the car.

    Hello,

    We have ordered the key blade that goes inside the key fob from Land Rover.  ETA on the key blade is 2 weeks, as soon as it arrives you can pick it up from us or I can mail it to you. Just let me know which you prefer.
