1 starAmerican Patriot Getaways claims they have been providing unforgettable vacation experiences in the Smoky Mountains since 2000, boasting that their cabins offer the perfect blend of comfort and convenience, with superior service and personalized attention.
I can confirm it was definitely unforgettable, but it was absolutely false advertising! The cabin was a nightmare, and their so-called "superior service" was a joke.
My daughter and I rented a cabin in Pigeon Forge. After driving all day, we were absolutely horrified upon arrival to find it in a filthy condition. The amount of dust throughout the cabin brought all the bugs to the party! I immediately contacted customer service, expecting a quick resolution. Instead, their idea of "solving" the issue was sending an elderly lady, struggling to walk, with paper towels and a bottle of cleaning solution. What?! Then they offered to send someone else to do a deep clean while we sat there and watched. Again, what?! Subsequently, since I did not approve of their superior service options, they informed me I would have to pay a cleaning fee for the cabin being filthy upon arrival, as if we arrived and sprinkled dust and dirt everywhere.
Finally, they offered to move us to another cabin, but I would have to pay extra because it was an upgraded cabin. Unbelievable! By this time, we’re exhausted, hungry, and just wanted to relax, so I agreed to pay the upgrade fee. It wasn’t until we packed everything back into the car that I realized the new cabin was 30 minutes away!
This company showed zero compassion for the inconvenience they caused and took no responsibility for the condition of the first cabin. To make matters worse, there wasn’t any compensation for the trouble, stress, or time wasted. The only thing they offer is false advertising and they made me pay for it … literally. They ruined our vacation and showed no remorse for their incompetence. I will never rent from them again, and I urge everyone to do the same!Review fromShirley H

This is the best company I have ever stayed with. The cabins have always been extremely clean and very nice. I will never stay with another cabin rental company. I have been using American Patriot for years and I have never been disappointed with my accommodations. Extremely happy everytime we stay. Great staff and so pleasant to speak to and helpful on finding a cabin to reach every need you are looking for. Thanks American Patriot for going above and beyond on everything.

Booked a beautiful house right by pigeon forge for a week. Was at the very top of a hill so you had views of the mountains from the front and back. Was very clean and updated! Pool table and 3 arcade games in gameroom. A nice in-ground pool on 1st floor with jacuzzi on the balcony. Had zero problems booking, checking in or checking out! Highly recommend ????American Patriot Getaways

Had a great time. Customer service was very accommodating and made last minute changes, even though the mistake made was my fault. Cabin was fantastic and just what we were looking for. 4 states view cabin- rented from 5/31/25- 6/7/25. hot tub broke the whole time we were there. Dirty comforters & sheets. Smelled of dirty dog & covered in dog hair. Dishwasher didn't work the first 5 days. Dog urine on a rug and floor. Our first night spent washing all bed linens. Hot tub was supposed to be fixed sunday then Tuesday then Thursday. It still hadn't been fixed by the time we left. I was patient & understanding through all of that. Until I killed a cockroach. They sent out pest control to spray. My husband called because of all of the issues but mainly at the time the hot tub still wasn't fixed. They offered $4**.00 back. Then the night came & the cockroaches were crawling all over the windows, baseboards, floors, counters & cabinets. One fell out of the doorway on my husbands hand. They were crawling EVERYWHERE! I texted them to tell them this cabin is infested that this was no little problem and the pest control didn’t help anything. I explain my frustration and that I now have to pay to keep it from going into my vehicle & home. I wanted a resolution but That got me no where. I was told you were compensated. I was sick of getting a response of "I apologize" & "I understand your frustration" because no you don't! You wouldn't pay the amount we paid to deal with the problems we dealt with. I couldn't take it anymore. I was going on no sleep and getting angry at the situation so we left early. This was supposed to be a celebratory vacation & it was anything but. The guests called in on the 4th of June, Four full days into their stay about issues on the property. Our guest services rep immediately spoke to a supervisor and offered guests 10% compensation (off of nightly rate) and cleaning fee back. The guest declined the offer and stated they wanted more money as they had to throw all of their stuff away because they were worried about bringing roaches home. So, they were offered 15% and the cleaning fee which the guest accepted and the offer was processed. On Monday, June 9th, after guests had been checked out of the property for 2 days, we received another call. Guest called and re-ran through all the issues and asked to speak to a Guest Services Manager. Guest was informed that they had already received compensation and would probably not be offered anything more. GS lead did return their call and left a voicemail message at 1:47 pm on the 9th. The guest was refunded a total of $538.26 on June 10th. On June 11th, guest, who is not listed on reservation called to discuss why HE has not received a call from anyone. He was told a comp was processed and this caller informed us that he has not spoken to his wife to see if she received a call but wanted a supervisor to call him. Unfortunately, we have been unable to reach him after multiple attempts. While we do have a clause that states amenities such as hot tubs are subject to change at any time, we did offer partial compensation for the loss of that amenity. Our pest control supervisor went to the cabin on May 29th, and did pest control prior to guests arrival. At times treatment causes things to get worse before they get better. However, before he treated, he inspected the entire cabin and did not see any signs of roaches or roach activity. He still did the treatment.
While we are sorry that this guest did not enjoy their stay, we did everything within our power to make it right including offering compensation which they accepted. We have on record the amount we offered, and the above statement is not an accurate reflection of what was offered and accepted.Review fromStephanie D

My husband & I have been taking yearly trips to the mountains for the last 7 years & the only place we book through is American Patriot Getaways! They are simply the best, they offer deals throughout the year on cabins & are always right there when you need them. I HIGHLY recommend booking with them.American Patriot Getaways
