I dropped off my small motor home on our appointed time on July 23, with the complaint that the air conditioner was not working, and a bent awning arm.
After not hearing a word for two weeks, I called on August 5th, and the service department was closed that day for training. and I was promised a call back.
Called on August 6th, and got several excuses why nothing had been done.
Called August 9th, and was told they were waiting to hear back from our insurance company. They still did not provide me with any estimate.
Called August 12, (2x) because I was supposed to get a call back with the estimate and a confirmation that they were in touch with the insurance company. Left messages because no techs were available . I finally got a call back late that after noon (FIRST time I ever received a call from this business), PROMISING to give me an estimate the next day, which would have been Aug. 13th, a full 3 weeks after I dropped it off.
August 13 arrived, and I got no call again. I contacted my insurance company to see what the issue was, only to learn they had NEVER been contacted by this business. At that point, I called the business and told them I was picking up my unit.
When I got there to pick it up, they had it locked in the back, and they demanded that I pay $471.09 for an estimate I NEVER RECEIVED, and work that was never done. They even charged me for shop supplies?? I have no idea what that would entail, as nothing was listed?
Basically, I was charged $471.09 for them to park my vehicle in their parking lot. What a disappointment….Initial Complaint

We went to pick up our camper from here and ended up having to file a police report for the service manager shoving my husband, trying to stop him from hooking up to our trailer and blocking our truck in. I was in the office when this was going on taking care of all the paperwork and we were treated like criminals by this company. My husband kept telling the service manager that I was in the office taking care of everything . I was actually taking care of an extremely large charge for an estimate while this was going on. I also went to pick up the police report and stop by to get a paper to cancel a warranty and they wouldn’t give me the paper or let me talk to the owner. I had driven 44 miles to pick this up with no luck. This is not very business like.Business Response

Aug 21st Called and LM to Deborah *****, she did return my call that day, spoke to her regarding her issues with her unit and with our staff. (The unit is out of warranty by nearly a year, we submitted it to Forest River and also their insurance company and bother denied the claim) Regarding the staff issues we have different opinions there and what my staff told me compared to her statements are much different. My service advisor came to me and stated she thought there would be an issue with them and going over the repair order with them. When they came to pick the unit up her husband drove on the lot and was trying to hook up and leave wit the unit, i have an implied lien until the repair order has been paid. My general took and forklift and blocked him in and at that time he called the police department and an officer was sent out. He is saying my GM pushed him and i don't feel that's the correct facts, my GM called me while this was going on and kept me informed. I informed her if he feels my GM did that they are free to proceed with the police department. The real issue is her unit, Deborah told me that Forest River had approved repairs if they brought the unit to Forest River in Indiana. I emailed Benton T****** at Forest River and that's not the case at all, they are requestions additional photos. With all this said i would still like to help them with Forest River if I can.
Sept 6th LM for Deborah and she called back while i was leaving the message, I told her Forest River Requested additional photos and ask if she could get me some of the roof and the interior as well, she said she would however her husband (I Assume was in the background yelling we already had them. I told Deborah that the Forest River is asking for additional photos and all I am trying to do is help them. I told her once I have the photos i will send them to Forest River, I also informed Deborah that I will be in Indiana at the end of he month and if we can't get anything resolved though email I will try again in person.

I took my new horse traiker back about 3 months after making my purchase, because the tack room door frame started coming loose. I took the trailer to them on 2/27/2024 and as of today 4/30/2024 I do not have my trailer back. Myself and my husband have had to contact them each time about my trailer and it’s one excuse after another. This is an unacceptable timeframe. I have made 2 payments for a trailer that I do not have in my possession.Business Response

I have contacted Tammy ****** at 10:03am 5/10/2024 and went through the issues she had with her Stallion Horse trailer. Tammy felt that the process should have been faster, I did review that this is a fairly normal time period for receiving a part from a manufacturer for a horse trailer. Even though were we within a normal time period for this type of repair we may have lacked in communicating that with her and our follow up was below our company standards, being a family owned business with my families name on the sign I personally take great pride in providing excellent service to our customers. We were short staffed on the administrative side of our service department at the time however were are now back to full staff.
Tammy and I had a good conversation, she was very cornual and praised the salesperson that had taken care of her during her purchase, I know customers don't buy trailers to have them in our shop and this is never a good situation for anyone. I agreed to refund Tammy one mouth of payments which is ******7 provided she considers this matter resolved with the BBB and she removes her negative google review.
Thank you

I purchased an RV Travel Trailer from Mckeever RV Marine on September XX XXXX At that time I also purchased a slide topper for the trailer in the amount of $849.00. I picked the trailer up in mid to late October and was told that the topper had been delivered damaged several times and that they would call me when it came in. They said that they would install it as soon as it came in but everytime it came in they said that it was damaged after waiting several months. I requested a refund because it was taking so long I told them that I would purchase one and have it installed myself. I have not received a refund and I feel that I am being ignored. I have made several calls and have been told that someone from the service department would return my call and as of 7/19/2022 I have yet to recieve a call back or my refund.Business Response

The ******** purchased the slide topper as part of their original purchase of the unit. When the slide topper came in from our supplier it was damaged in shipment, we reordered it and it came in trice again damaged. From this point forward honestly we dropped the ball through a service manager change. The ******** had set an appointment with my service manager Andy Behar and brought there unit in on 8/1/2022. The work was completed and the unit was picked up 8/6/2022 with the slide topper installed along with some additional warranty work they had requested.
I had my service manager give them a $100.00 credit in our parts department which Mr. ******** selected items in out parts department to reach the $100 credit. Andy my service manager said Mr. ******** was very happy with getting the $100 Parts credit.
This is not the way I like to do business and we failed this customer. We are a young company just a little over a year old and have faced personal challenges like I have never seen before in my 22 years in the RV business nor my 45 years in business.
I personally called the ******** today but just received voice mail, I did leave a message with my personal cell phone if they had any questions.
Thanks

We are satisfied with the slide topper and the other warranty work that was done. Thank you very much for the $100.00 credit that we did use in the Parts dept.
Thank You
