(Note-Anything I claim within this complaint does not contain actual quotes. I have paraphrased, but what I have said is entirely fact-based. Multiple emails and text messages can be provided that back up every single claim of mine) Bait and switch. Breach of contract. The contract was made in writing for a grand total of $550. I asked the company in writing if the price could fluctuate at any time. I was told in writing by the company that at ***, the price would go up by $50. Right before my vehicle was to be dropped off, the company contacted me late at night on the weekend and stated the new total cost would be $1,575. The company was very flexible with a pick-up date. It turns out, their flexibility was motivated by their knowledge that if a penciled-in pickup date needed to change, theyd profit $150 per day the vehicle wasnt picked up. ***** didnt deliver my payment to the seller of the vehicle on the day promised. I was in very close contact with the company and explained that the pickup date couldnt be entirely secured until ***** delivered the payment to the vehicles seller. On the delivery date set forth by the company, I was told in writing that the vehicle delivery driver was 100 miles away from the vehicle pickup site and it would take him 6 hours to drive the 100 miles. That same day, the driver failed to show up. Wheres my $150 missed pickup credit? The amount of money demanded changed several times, at one time the company offering to help pay after I spoke of hiring a lawyer. I also told the company I planned on filing a police report. Dealing with this bait-and-switch, highway-robbery company has been one of the most stressful things I've ever been though in my life. My vehicle was held for ******. This attempt to get my money back, less the $550 agreed-upon total amount due, starts with this Better Business Bureau complaint. Future legal steps will be taken should the matter not get resolved to my satisfaction.Initial Complaint

They told me it would be $360 to ship my car from ******** GA to ******** Wisconsin, with a $150 deposit. Once I paid that they doubled the price of what it would cost to ship me my car to over $700. I shared a screenshot of the email of the price they quoted me/my confirmation and a screenshot of the text message saying they never promised me they would do the job for that price. I also showed a screenshot of what their ad shows with reviews which I believed to be ****** reviews and not a sponsored ad versus what their yelp reviews actually say. ****** reviews are the same thing they get terrible ratings for reasons like what happened to me. They are refusing to give me my $150 deposit back and claim I need to pay a $200 cancellation fee to get it back.Initial Complaint

I contracted Road Runners Auto Transport, ****************************************** on 3/28/2024 to ship a Buick from *********, ** to *********. We agreed on the total price of $750 and the car was to be picked up in *********, ** on 3-29-23. I paid $100 via Venmo on 3-28-24, per the agreement. The Road Runners Auto truck never arrived. I was contacted by Road Runners *********************** Road Runners Auto Transport Direct Phone: ************** Email: ************************************** Website: ******************************************************* ***************** USDOT# *******, MC-1584940-B ***************************************** : ************************************* ****** stated that the driver will not come for the agreed amount of $750 and said they can do it for $1,000 (I never received a copy of that agreement) and would need a second Venmo of $100. The car was to be picked up in *********, ** on 4-1-24. The driver never arrived. ***********************, apologized and said the truck will be in *********, ** on 4-2-24. The truck arrived and picked up the Buick. I was told the car will be at ********* on 4-6-24. On 4-3-24, I received a call from *********************** stating that I needed to pay an additional brokers fee of $1,300 which included insurance for my car being transported. I said that is not what we agreed on, the total price is $1,000. ****** said that the driver needed the insurance documentation right away and sent me another (3rd) agreement for the additional $1,300. I told ****** that I will only sign the 3rd agreement if he removes the $1,300 and he agreed multiple times. About 3 minutes later, ****** called and said I owe the $1,300 and I need to pay or I will not get my car. ****** and the owner ***** called and texted me multiple times and are harassing me. They even said on a text that, "I was not a Man". I am a victim of fraud, and if I do not pay Road Runners the $1,300 they will keep my car and charge me penalties.Initial Complaint

Order number: ******** Road Runners Auto Transport's will be referred to as "RR".On Wednesday, February 21 my car was delivered with damages. I reached out to the rep I was working with and he said to send him pictures. I sent him pictures of the damage to my vehicle and he told me to "not let the driver leave" but provided no further instructions. The driver claimed to have documented the damages on the bill of lading (***) while I was waiting on further instructions from RR. Almost a half hour went by and I tried to call RR but received no response. So the driver told me to reach out if I had any issues.I never received a call from RR later in the afternoon, or at all about the issue so they never had any intention of telling me what to do, despite being insured to handle damages during transport. Due RR's negligence the *** was not properly documented to indicate the damages to my car.I would like to receive compensation for damages to my vehicle which would have been properly documented despite their negligence.According to the company, they admitted to "fixing my rearview mirror cover" but it is clearly damaged. Please see the attached images for the damages, and email communication with the shipper.Business Response
