      We contacted Gembah with questions on how we can make our products cheaper in different countries.We've done sourcing in other countries and found it unlikely that they would be able to source it at a rate that would be acceptable.We told them our prices and told them our challenges and when I asked very clearly 1) I don't need any China supplier so don't bother with that.2) If you go outside of *****: "Will these prices just be 5x+ my price like I'm finding, and you are just in the business of making $1000 at a time."They ASSURED ME: No we have many factory connections and at most you will be looking at 2x cost. After I provided all my costs, so they knew my exact COGs.There initial sourcing phone call back to me they claimed a price 8-9x my cost and then were shocked at my outrage that they would even think that I would accept ******* which I told them I need all my money back don't even bother, their representative: Will **********, told me that he will have to talk and he will be willing to do this FREE of charge, forgoing the $1000 fee because they ******************, Will of course comes back and then is unwilling to talk to me because I'm upset with him because they stole my money. Apparently at this company after they steal $1000 from you, they also want you to be polite with them.I'd NEVER do business with them, I will be filing charges unless I get their tapes.This is a scam business, avoid avoid avoid. Go on ******* for 15 seconds instead you will find 1/2 their rate, go a little longer and you'll find 1/10th the cost.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

      It is sad that a company has to be threatened with a lawsuit and BBB complaint to do the right thing, but they did refund me after that.

      I hired Gembah for product development, expecting a structured milestone-based process with clear stage gates before progressing to the next phase. However, they proceeded with the factory search stage without my approval, despite the existence of a stage gate meant to prevent unauthorized progression. I was never informed that the stage had commenced or that fees were being incurred until after the fact.Additionally, Gembah is refusing to issue a refund for this unapproved work, citing internal policies, even though I never agreed to move forward with the factory search at that time. Their lack of transparency in initiating this stage and incurring costs without my consent is a clear breach of the agreed process.Furthermore, within the design stage, my project required both model development and the creation of embedded outlinescritical to the final product. Gembah completed feasibility work on the model-making methods but did not explore the outlining aspect. Now, instead of completing this within the design phase, they are pushing it to a later engineering stage, leaving the design phase incomplete while avoiding accountability for unfinished ******* summary, Gembah failed to uphold the agreed-upon process by:1. Progressing to the factory search stage without my approval.2. Incurring charges for work I did not authorize.3. Refusing a refund for the unapproved milestone.4. Splitting design-stage deliverables to push remaining work into a later phase instead of completing it as originally planned.I am seeking a fair resolution, including a refund for the unauthorized factory search and accountability for the incomplete design work (or a partial refund).

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I appreciate that Gembah has agreed to refund the Source Factory milestone. However, my primary concern about the incomplete design stage remains unresolved. A key deliverablefeasibility of outline drawing methods on paper materialswas not completed, yet the work was pushed into the engineering phase instead. This misalignment resulted in an unfinished design stage, for which I am seeking a partial refund.
      Additionally, there are concerns about the billing structure in relation to the stage gate process, which were never properly disclosed. I would like to continue working toward a fair resolution with Gembah on this matter.

      I am incredibly disappointed with our experience with Gembah for product development and sourcing. We initially engaged Gembah's services with high expectations but encountered numerous challenges throughout our collaboration that led to the project falling apart entirely.We were forced to reduce the scope of our project several times with no cost adjustment due to Gembahs inability to handle the project. After we reached our breaking point, I reached out directly to the *** who ultimately said that he felt that his company performed very well on our project and would not consider any helpful courses of action. We experienced issues related to a lack of professionalism, overpromising, and under-delivering on services, and now that we have paid roughly $20,000 to Gembah, we still do not have a viable production partner for our products. They failed to deliver the service we paid for. They underperformed and did not perform in a "workmanlike" manner in terms of executing project objectives. Approx. spend: $20,000 Outcome: No product production or viable production partners.
