  Ive been trying to cancel my Anytime Fitness membership at the *******, ** location since February 2025, due to a cross-country move to *******. I reached out via text and email and notified the gym before any balance was due. Ive been in ongoing communication with ********* who acknowledged my situation and attempted to call me, but only during work hourswhich I repeatedly explained Im unavailable during.Despite my proactive communication and genuine attempts to resolve this, I was told cancellation could only be done via phone, which I simply cannot do without missing work and pay. No flexibility has been provided, and even though Ive made recent payments to reduce the balance, I am still locked out of the gym and continue to be charged.I recently requested a copy of my original membership contract, as I believe it may contain a relocation clause, but this request has still not been ************ asking for a full cancellation of my membership without additional charges, as Ive been trying to cancel since February and have documented all communication attempts. I also want a copy of my signed contract for review. The companys refusal to work with members in unique circumstancesespecially those who relocateneeds to be addressed.

  Upper Mangement/Owners of ALL sparks nv gyms need to leave and sell! No Acknowledgement getting equiptment fixed, Putting up tvs and more ! I m a dedicated member of this gym for over 25 years disappointing to see how Mngt and owners have neglected both members and staff, as well as not honoring the agreement that states fees will never be raised as long as you remain a member at Anytime Fitness and overpriced! Disinfectant wipes are not provided and the spray bottles used to have a questionable contents (smelling like Windex, which many are all allergic to). "Rags" for cleaning equpt is unhygienic, especially w/viruses like Covid and **** virus still highly prevalent. This is a major health hazard and Members want it addressed and Wipes brought back!! Lack of communication and transparency: membership fees have increased without proper notification, rather just TAKEN from our acct, NOT improving the facility or equipment. Poor employee, treatment and MNGT engagement: Long time well, respected trainers YOU let go for not meeting sales quotas, and being overworked, such as the current employees are sadly without incentives or raises throughout the year (s). NO Mgmnt and the owners are if ever present and ignore member concerns when approached. We go for strong sense of community among the MEMBERS, the gym is becoming a loss- Mngt takes that for granted. petitioned complaints go **** answers gym has potential, but serious changes to proper sanitation, equipment fixes and fair treatment of staff and its members- ownership values profit over people shame on them! putting employees in ***** away making them work, to do Remodel rather than hiring proper helpEquipment old seats are ripping, dumbbells loosing coating get this fixed since you continue to UP our dues? promised equipment has been over 2+ years NOT FIXED!NO concern with proper due diligence from management to honor raises and cost of living, increases for the trainers and Employees

  DO NOT JOIN!This is the most shady and deceptive business I have ever dealt with. They allow online signups and then if you try to cancel they say you need to have died or have a new license or utility bill. Even if you never changed your license when you moved to ************ and moved back in with your parents so don't have bills in your name they don't allow you to cancel. They require a certified letter with that proof in order to cancel. They do not accept cash or checks conveniently because they want your card information to keep charging you. All of these other reviews are correct, this is a crazy scam full of low life people. Run far, far away. I can't believe they haven't been investigated and dealt with yet.

  Anytime Fitness located in ******** **** ***** is a predatory business. A young single mother unwittingly signed up for a membership at Anytime. She later fell pregnant. As a result of this pregnancy she was required to cut back on her hours at work causing her income to drop precipitously. She was also determined to have a high risk pregnancy which is precluding her from exercise.
  Stuck with a gym membership she cannot use that was causing her to also rack up additional overdraft fees when it took money out of her checking account, she contacted Anytime Fitness to ask if she could cancel this now unaffordable and unusable gym membership. As requested she provided Anytime with a written letter from her doctor and delivered the letter to the ******* **** ******** in person as the manager at Anytime was adamant that this membership could not be cancelled over the phone. Upon delivering the letter she was told that her gym membership could not be cancelled, but merely suspended for three months during which she would be assessed a $2.50 "maintenance fee" for the privilege of not going to the gym.
  Today this young mother is again in financial distress because Anytime elected to deduct $12.00 from her checking account, not the $2.50 as discussed when she visited them in December. To add insult to injury she has also been assessed yet another $30 overdraft fee on her checking account. At this moment her account is now over $100 in the red because of $9.50 in additional, unexplained greed on behalf of Anytime Fitness.
  This predatory and financially destructive business is owned by Bandon Fitness

  I joined and asked if something came up is there a way to cancel. I was told that if there was a medical issue or I was a transferring military member, then I could cancel. I had stroke and was sent to two hospitals. I spoke with the manager and she said I couldnt cancel. Not a choice Im happy with because the staff is wonderful. I had a neurologist appt Yesterday Nov 4th and was told I was going thru many months of physical therapy. So this is my only outlet. This is my only outlet to get my story out. I wanted to fill my obligation, but a stroke is serious. Didnt expected. Was hospitalized for a week. Now I have to wait till the 13th to start therapy and I am out of work on my 4 week. I would like my subscription canceled.

  My son signed up for a month to month. He then found out that it was a year. A year approaches. Now they won't let it be canceled b/c it's not my account. Although it's my cc on file and was only authorized for one payment. I would like the yearly contract voided and credited for all unauthorized charges for misleading and deceptive practices. When I spoke to the manager of that location, I was informed the previous manager was let go for this exact thing. My son lives a state away and can't visit in person. This is Anytime Fitness in *******, **. The regional manager has been emailed and contacted and will not return any calls or emails.

  They are a horrible company, they make up stuff when you want to cancel! They said that I have to give a 30 day notice in order to cancel however I went back to the original contract and it does not say that then they said that theyre not gonna honor my request to cancel so other words are saying that theyre going to continue to charge me every month even though I requested to cancel for two months now and have the proof to back it up. Do not sign up with this gym, horrible gym and its small. The machines are always over occupied or Broken.

  DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM! You will never be able to cancel your membership. They will continue to charge your credit card even after you cancel your membership and turn in your key fob. If you complain to corporate, they say there is nothing they can do and you have to talk to your local manager. The local manager will do nothing. When you cancel your credit card to stop the charges, they will turn you over to collections and destroy your credit. Hiring a lawyer to fight them will cost a fortune. This is a NIGHTMARE!
