      On 01/04/22 clinical pathology laboratory billed me twice for the same bacterial vaginosis test ran by ***********************, which was only ran once by the doctors office. BV test cost ****** and the charge, which bcbs of Michigan will not cover, is ******. Ive call multiple times and they say they are sending it to management since June 2022. Also, I received another bill on 04/25/2022 for the same BV test that was not ran by the doctors office for another ******. The doctors office has call multiple times to dispute this charge and on 08/14/2022 I received a notice that clinical pathology laboratory was sending it to collections. As confirmed by the doctors this test was never ran because we knew that the time insurance did not cover this test. And per my records never received a result for BV at this time. Ive called multiple times to put the account on hold to no resolve. Just to summarize they are charging me twice the first bill and the second bill is fraudulent as it was never ran. And that is the test being sent to collections. Now, due to unforeseen circumstances **************** practice, who ************ is under, is closing in 30 days.

      My email to the lab:****** take a look at the following conversation between my dr ****** and myself attached below. ****** feel free to call the dr ****** at ************ Account #: ******** We have both been trying to clear this, and it is not being taken care of.Dr ******: **************- ****************************************, ** ****I need confirmation by September 6, 2022 at 5:00pm that this billing account was closed. ****In an email.I would also like to file a grievance of mishandling billing on the rep who works with my dr. ****** let me know how to proceed since he/she almost got me sent to collections for not doing their job. I am being discriminated against and disadvantaged by your company due to miscommunication. Once again. I need confirmation by September 6, 2022 at 5 PM that this billing account was closed via email. Thank you, *************************** Two images were included which are conversations between myself and my dr. **** is where she has said the rep was supposed to already have twin care of it.

      Hello. I am an individual that does not have health insurance at the time of bloodwork being performed by my doctor. My doctor told me it would be $50 for the bloodwork which I paid in cash at the office. Then about two months later on August 30th 2022 I received a letter from clinical pathology laboratories **** for a bill total wing $483.00. When I opened up the letter this is the first paragraph. Perhaps your doctor did not tell you that a specimen was sent to us for further study and that you would receive a separate charge from us. The result of the test were sent back to your doctor to aid in the management of your Health program. Should you have any questions concerning results of the test please call your doctor. *** I am an uninsured person at the time but as of August 1, 2022I have insurance. Is it legal for them to charge me something that I had no idea I was going to be charge for when my healthcare provider charge me $50 only and told me that is the cost for the bloodwork and the consultation afterwards. She never mentioned any more cost to me. Is this a scam? Or is this possible that blood work can be done in this manner with a Hidden cost to me that I had no idea would be coming? Could you please help me in looking into this.

      Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.   I have researched the account number provided in the complaint and have confirmed the requesting physician's office has updated the billing and confirmed charges were paid on the date of service.  We have updated the account billing status on 08/30/2022. Patient billing for CPL ceased on 08/30/2022 and the patient wasn't contacted further after this date.   We appreciate your diligence in ensuring the account was resolved previously.
