On January 31, 2025, I parked in a paid parking lot run by Peak Parking and paid $6.81. My parking time started at 11:27AM and was valid for 2 hours. Two minutes later at 11:29AM (as soon as the parking lot attendant saw that I had left my car), I was issued a citation for non-payment. I subsequently appealed the citation and received an Appeal Submit Notification where it was stated that the appeal would be reviewed and resolved within 14 calendar days. However, as of March 24, 2025, the appeal has still not been processed. I have also called the business multiple times and sent an email with no response. It is widely known in ******, and especially for the area in which I parked, that companies such as Peak Parking will regularly issue fraudulent citations with the expectation that the victims will simply pay up to get rid of them. I was initially hopeful that in my case, the citation was a genuine error and would be cleared up promptly. However, the company's subsequent pattern of non-response rings alarm bells of unethical and dishonest behavior. I refuse to be a victim of their parking scam, no matter how small or large the citation levied against me. I would like this matter to be fully settled and for the business to be called out for their unethical behavior.

Our young, medically challenged, daughter, used this parking service when attending an event downtown last month. She prepaid for parking close to the convention center online ahead of time. She got a confirmation email with directions upon payment. When she arrived to the parking lot, she followed the provided instructions, which tell you to scan the ** code in the confirmation email and take the receipt and place it in your window. Only, when she scanned the code, she got an error. The website states they have live parking attendants at every lot- this lot had no human to ask for help with this error. There were others there experiencing the same issue. She tried again to scan the ** code and got an error. Since this wasnt working, she wasnt sure what to do. The instructions clearly state to take the receipt and put it in the car window. She cancelled her paid reservation and instead entered her license plate info into the machine. The screen told her thank you and asked her to take her receipt and place it in the window. The machine didnt print anything, in fact, there is no way to print anything. She went ahead and went into the convention thinking she would enter her plate info again when she came out and be charged for the time she was there. Nope. She came out to a boot on her car. She was hysterical and in 100+ degree temps in costume. She has Dysautonomia and almost passed out. She has Aspergers and medical issues. My husband, myself, and friends had a similar issue parking in these lots the next day, only to find out from a parking attendant, you just park and leave when you pay ahead. You dont scan anything or need anything to put in your window. (Very different from the directions.) Due to the lack of human employee, and the incorrect directions provided by the parking company, they should refund her funds to have the boot removed minus the cost of parking. They also stated in an email the machine was having issues and she would be refunded.
