5 starsThe implementation process has been terrific so far. Each step of the way there has been clear communication and all information is available in the portal for each step. Each step of the process has been done when they communicated it was to be done. ****** ****** and ***** ******* did a terrific job of installing the electrical. The solar panes were installed in a half a day. So far, I have been very impressed. They cleaned up after themselves. Looking forward to the inspections and activation.

1 starI purchased from Freedom Solar in ******, *** I was told I would get monitoring and a warranty for 25 years. Now they are telling me I have to pay an extra 10 per month to get monitoring. Also leaving my warranty at question they tell me they will service it but I have doubts. If I were to get **** damage I will guess I will have to pay myself? Dear Mr. ******************* you for bringing your concerns to our attention; your feedback is greatly appreciated. I want to clarify that the issues you're experiencing stem directly from SunPower's recent bankruptcy and are not due to any actions or policies of Freedom Solar Power.
Regarding the SunPower monitoring software, it was acquired by Sunstrong, and Freedom Solar Power has no control over the fees they may charge for the service. Currently, ********* offers a limited free service, so you are not obligated to pay the $10 per month you mentioned.
If you're not satisfied with *********, please be aware that there are alternative solar monitoring options available. We recommend exploring these to find a service that meets your needs.
Lastly, we want to assure you that we will continue to service your solar system for its lifetime. However, it's important to note that hail damage is not covered under your manufacturer's warranty and would need to be addressed through your homeowner's insurance policy.

I understand the response but they passed this problem to their consumers. Now we have to pay for something that we were promissed would be free. We no longer have hail damage repair. I am struggling to get this new vendor that will now charge me to answer the phone. Basically I am left out in the cold. Again I understand that Freedom Solar chose a company that ultimately went out of business. It's not fair that this installer is having to pay the costs. Communication from the office could be better, but the install electrician and his helper were great. ***** ***** and *********** ******* were so helpful coming up from the ****************** ****** so our project didn't get delayed. 3 starsI live in ************** and have system installed by Freedom Solar Power (FSP) consisting of 16 solar panels and two Powerwall2s with the associated gateway, meters, switches, and electrical junction boxes, this system went on line in December of 2023. On the morning on January 21 2025 at around 03:00 A CST the Tesla Gateway communication module went off line and we lost the ability to use our batteries in the event of a power failure and use our solar cells to power the house on a sunny day if the grid went down. We bought the system mainly to keep the lights on in case of a power failure. This problem got resolved by ***** (I opened a ticket with them also) by uploading a firmware patch on March 3rd 2025, 39 days after I reported the problem.The FSP sales person 5/5, three tries to get the contract correct overall sales 3/5 Installation of panels and installers 5/5 changing brand of panels drops the overall installation to 4/5 (independent inspection verified 5/5 install)After install customer service 1/5, 39 days to resolution by another company, unable to get firm commitment of trouble shooter trying to fix. 500 dollars trip charge with no time of service (within 30 days) this for system unusable.Over all rating 2.5-3/5Freedom Solar Power

5 starsFreedom Solar was great from the beginning. They were not pushy and were willing to let me work through all the different ask and give critical input into the design of my system. From Vatrell at the beginning to the Solar Dream Team Installers, they were thorough and made sure I was informed the whole time. There was one issue with the design of the system as they were putting too much power into the panel box but got that quickly resolved and instead of lowering the Solar Panel Production they decreased the amount of power coming from the utility provider.Freedom Solar Power
