    Paid for a VRBO hotel room more thzz as n two months in advance. Upon arriving I was told they had overbooked and there were no available rooms. After waiting several minutes, they found me a room and gave me the key. I went there only to unlock the door and scare a woman who was in the bed!! If I had known VRBO was owned by ******* I would have not booked to begin with. Trying to get a refund.

    This was, hands down, the worst experience we have ever had with a vacation rental. A month after our stay and trying to work with management/owners, its time to give our honest review. The reality didnt even come close to matching the description. We spent close to an hour documenting the filth with 100+ pictures. These were sent to management. Their response was to send out their cleaning crew. Not a tenable option with our dogs and family plans. This was escalated to their resolution department who said she appalled.Dishes, flatware, and cookware were all filthy, rusted or otherwise unusable. Refrigerator and microwave were equally filthy. Two rooms with unusable closets. No dressers or nightstands. The door to the master bathroom was falling off the *********** and pet (un)friendly: Bleach bottles in grocery bags on the floor in a laundry room with a door that . Sheets were found piled almost to the ceiling, in the dryer and wet in washer. I have never stayed in a place that made me wish we had chosen a Motel6, Super8 or anything similar. I personally have stayed in ***** motels that were better.There are many other issues with this property I could go into great detail about. As the lodging was not as described and with all that was wrong with the conditions, I requested reimbursementin an amount I felt was appropriate. They only offered a stay voucher valid ONLY if we left 5 Star reviews. I finally escalated to VRBO Corporate, tired of trying to work with the management team. They were sorry to hear of the problems we had, but it was after the incident and we didnt contact them sooner. They couldnt (wouldnt?) do anything. They didnt even care that the owner was using the stay voucher to coerce us while their FAQ states extortion for favorable reviews is strictly against corporate policy. So we most definitely wont be staying at this home again, or any other property owned by **************.

    Vrbo is the saddest excuse of a home rental site Ive ever seen. I rented a home to someone who was arrested 12 TIMES (******* *******), had an eviction history, and ended up getting evicted again. Vrbo does no homework on their tenants as long as they pay. It is pathetic. I couldnt recommend a company less.

    VRBO is the most difficult platform to work with, it's impossible to get ahold of anyone, no one there knows what's going on, their "insurance" is a joke!!! MANY damaged items and portions of a home and every single claim is DENIED despite irrefutable evidence submitted!!! This company needs to be put out of business, they are a bunch of crooked thieves and cater to shady people who ****** won't allow to rent a home (and likely for a good reason!!). STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU LIKE GETTING FINANCIALLY RAPED

    .Vrbos platform and customer service have completely mishandled my reservation from start to finish, wasting significant amounts of my time and causing unnecessary financial stress.Summary of Issues:1. Incorrect charges I was billed at the wrong nightly rate, forcing me to repeatedly contact Vrbo to fix an issue that should never have happened in the first place.2. Failed resolution process Your representatives continuously gave me the runaround, putting me on hold for hours, providing no clear solutions, and ultimately leading me to cancel my entire reservation.3. Financial inconvenience While I was eventually refunded what I had paid, my money was tied up, impacting my finances through no fault of my own.4. Refusal to acknowledge my time and frustration Vrbos response essentially dismisses the hours I spent dealing with this mess. Your refusal to offer even the smallest gesture of goodwill shows a complete lack of ************************************* failed to provide the basic service I expected when booking through your platform. I am once again requesting appropriate compensation for the time, stress, and inconvenience caused by this situation. A Vrbo credit or other financial accommodation is a reasonable request, given the circumstances.

    VRBO VERY BAD VERY BAD JUST ASK PAPA AND GRANDKIDS VRBO IS A VERY VERY VERY VERY BAD COMPANY THEY HAVE NO PROBLEM PULLING THE *** OUT FROM UNDER YOU.......Me and my grand kids spent week looking at aruba homes to rent , they had a ton of fun,, pappa we like that one papa we want that one, they finally settle in on the one with the flamingo in the pool ! we booked the vacation home thru vrbo 4 months ago, 12 people total going kids grandkids family... we are all going down to watch papa run the aruba marathon ****** weeks to are vacation they send email , heres the email Hi ****,I hope you're doing well. Unfortunately, the houseMoko 119is no longer part of our program. We explored alternative options for you, but we regret to inform you that there is no availability for your reservation dates. We will proceed with the cancellation.We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.Please let us know if theres anything we can do to assist you further. thats was it no help as they claim they will do. first they said i didnt send the documents , then they said the property is not part of are program,, my first time booking this stuff,, just shameful. never new this could happen legal ? moral? ************. now i need to find a place for 12 people including 5 kids, in a short time

    This was the worst travel rental experience that Ive ever had - and Ive traveled all over the world and used many vacation rental services. I will cancel my VRBO account as soon as I get my refund from the cancelation of my reservation (or as soon as I block my credit card from being charged). I am trying to cancel my reservation (change of travel plans) two months before the 100% refund date, but their system wont let me cancel and get a refund and Ive spent hours talking to at least 6 people in their chat system and on the phone. They still havent fixed the problem.

    We have been hosts on VRBO for over 5 years and recently the cancelled all of our listings based on one message. The message was from a mom of a booked renter that actually booked through ******. The mom simply accidentally contacted us through the wrong platform. She had some questions about room layout, and we responded to her to have her daughter "contact" us so that we could provide her full room layout information. The mom asked if we preferred a phone call or email contact. We responded "email". Using those two words in a platform message got us fully banned. They now won't return our emails for over a week. Our account is inaccessible, and we have many bookings we need to be able to access. We cannot even see our calendar to know when cleanings need to be scheduled. Their customer service won't help us as they say it's a different department, yet they tell us that the department we need does not have a phone number. It's been so frustrating trying to deal with them. They are extremely unprofessional on how they are handling such a silly thing.
