The company repossessed my vehicle on August 15th, 2022. And by law I have the right to redeem the car and all of my belongings in it before it is auctioned off. The car has not been sold and I would like to redeem my property in the same condition that it was taken in. I have attempted to get a full payoff presentment so that I could settle the alleged debt/balance. No one answers and I have been locked out of my account. Santander Consumer USA sent a payoff letter on 2/21/2023 with a payoff date of 3/07/2023. On 2/24/2023 USAA send a check for $12,723.42 to pay off a vehicle loan via ****** The confirm delivery from ***** to Santander is 2/25/2025 at 11:45 PM, Saturday. Santander Consumer USA hold off in processing the payoff until 16 days after on 3/14/2023. The vehicle is refinance with USAA; Santander Consumer is requesting an additional $503.69 due on 5/15/2023 in order to release the title lien to USAA. Account number is **********Business Response

We purchased this vehicle and has 72 months to pay on the car. We have paid the 72 payments. We are total that the late fees equals ****** and the misc fee is ****** RTn payments but ******* is still owed on the car. This is due to simply daily interest they say. The matured date was June 2022 and with the deferred payments it was extended to March 2023. Which was paid in full. Now the company still says we owe them *******. And on that amount it will continue to earn interest daily! This will continue to be an everlasting process of paying on this vehicle due to a everyday interest. Santander is a subprime predatory lender. Predatory lending is a lending practice that imposes unfair or abusive loan terms on a borrower and persuades a borrower to accept unfair terms through deceptive, coercive, exploitative or unscrupulous actions for a loan that a borrower cant afford.My Daughter a Military Airmen serving in ***************** Airforce at the age of 21 was put in a subprime loan that made it almost impossible to keep up with the payments of $787.40 for a used 2018 vehicle withan APR of *****% for 72 months on her military salary .When She notified this lender of her active duty status and invoked the **** the the interest rate was never reduced to the 6% that was required to be done by the **** And the debt was put in a "chargeoff"status therefore making it impossible for my daughter to purchase another vehicle .When we called a few weeks ago to try to work out a pay off amount they said one thing but refused to put it in writing .When we called back another agent gave a different story and raised the total payoff amount to more than $35,000 making it even more difficult for *********************** to get from under this vehicle .We are requesting that this negative information be removed and that the payoff amount be reduced by 75% or more so that my daughter *********************** may be able to be released from the abusive unreasonable and neverending contract #********.Business Response
