On June 4, 2025 I visited the ******, ** location for a scheduled basic cleaning as a new patient. I was asked to sign intake forms and that the price would be $199 and if I would be using my insurance. I stated that my insurance just started a few days ago and I wanted to pay out of pocket. After filing out the intake paperwork and paying, I inquired about the membership and received information regarding the price which was the same amount for the cleaning (so I thought). Seeing that the price was the same for the cleaning or membership, I asked if they can switch it. The receptionist obliged and gave me a single page to sign. After getting X-rays, the dentist informed me that they recommended a deep cleaning for an additional $200 per side and that I couldn't get a basic cleaning. She stated that she would "be doing me a disservice by only giving me a basic cleaning" and that the deep cleaning is the only service that I can proceed with today. She further inquired about why I didn't want to use my insurance to try to pay for it. I informed her that I scheduled my appointment before I was aware that I had the option to enroll for benefits at my job and that although I have coverage, my intention was to get a basic cleaning out of pocket and to use my insurance for all of my other visits in order to use my benefits. After consulting with corporate, she returned with an adjusted form and advised that I was approved for a basic cleaning as long as I sign a waiver refusing the recommended deep cleaning. I agreed. A few minutes later another dentist stated that she would be the one who may service me but rather than a basic cleaning they will only consider polish and flossing while admitting her and other staff didn't feel comfortable only doing that rather than a deep clean yet I can proceed if I wanted to. Obviously uncomfortable from that admittance, false representation and possible malpractice I left. MISLEADING & EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!! I would like a refundCustomer Answer

I wanted to get a mouth device for sleeping. I never was told of costs for exam I didn't ask for x-rays because I have a dentist who just took x-rays. I was told needed a deep cleaning and a referral for my braces I asked about. I left with a paper stating if I decided to get treatment the costs. now I see my insurance was charged $173 for me to leave with nothing including the free stuff I was promised. Why wouldn't they inform me tis consult would cost for x-rays i never needed. I was told it was free. They kept trying to get me to get stuff I did not need, I want my insurance refunded. This was sneaky and misleading.Business Response

All patients must been seen as a new patient for their first visit which is billed to insurance. This includes xrays and exams. The patient signed a treatment plan stating that we would bill her insurance for this visit, however there was no out of pocket cost for the patient. The patient is not eligible for a refund.Customer Answer
Date: 05/31/2025
I am rejecting this response because: I was told paperwork was for future treatments I was told it was a free exam. They decided to do X-rays I just wanted a sleep appliance I did not ask for my teeth to be checked or x-rayed.Business Response

After review from our Dental Director, she stated the bridge was completed at the stand of care and is not compromised. On 4/28 we explained to the patient she was dismissed from our care on 4/15 however she had 30 days to come in for an emergency visit. Patient was scheduled on 5/1 but did not come to the appointment . On March 27th, I went in for a routine cleaning they said would be complimentary. I was instead meet with MULTIPLE Unfair Trade Practices. They took Xray and I inquired multiple times about the teeth cleaning. Instead, they tried to up sale me on a $270 deep that cost cleaning and multiple teeth crowns. They conveniently waited until the end of my session to drop this info on me. Unfair Trader Practices they're committing according to my experience and other complaints:-False Representation -Bait and Switch -Tied Selling -Misleading Consumers I just want a refund of the $150 I spent for wasting my time and not providing anything of value. I'm already in the process of contacting the ************************. I also want them to remove my personal info from there data base, I have no intent of ever using them again and don't want additional billing issues.Business Response

The Mint Freedom plan is non-refundable. The patient was diagnosed with deep prophylaxis, and completing a regular prophylaxis does not meet the required standard of care. Additionally, the patient has disputed the charge with their bank, and the matter is currently under review.Initial Complaint

I was lied to and lead to believe I had to get one procedure done in order to get the one That I actually needed to get which, in turn depleted my insurance for the year, causing me extended pain and suffering having to wait for the next insurance cycle. The siphoning of my insurance *********'s not only immoral but illegal and I deserve justice. I am not sure if the company itself is complicit in the actions of this one dental office, but I know that the staff across the board At mint dentistry *************** are all in cahoots. I have complained several times about this particular woman, the same woman who told me that I had to get my teeth cleaned in order to get a filling, the same woman who laughed at me when I called in agony over the phone -asking and pleading for help, the same woman that hung up on me when i needed copies of my x rays in order to switch to a more professional dental establishment. The woman I speak of still works there today, and that's unacceptable, and I warn against this particular dentistry. To call and complain about, extended pain in such a sensitive region of the human anatomy- due to the negligence and possibly illegal actions by a group that you put your trust in just to hear them laughing and joking in the background, it's heartbreaking.Business Response

I've been dealing with an issue regarding the crown on my front tooth with Mint since December 2024, and its now April 2025 with no resolution. The crown that was placed is larger than my other teeth, and Im being told I should simply accept that, which feels disrespectful. Ive been a loyal Mint patient for 10 years, and Ive never experienced anything like this before. Both my insurance and I have paid for services, yet the expectations set for this treatment havent been met. I was advised to seek another specialist and spend even more money on top of what Ive already paid, which is frankly disrespectful. Im asking for a proper resolution to this matter!Customer Answer
Date: 04/02/2025
I request Mint replace the crown and correct this issue. I spoke with ******** at the ******* location and the office is well aware of my concerns. I paid Mint for my crown and now I'm receiving a referral to another dentist to correct an issue Mint caused, disrespectful. I'm not paying anymore money for something Mint was paid for with this crown.Business Response
Date: 04/24/2025
After a review by our Dental Director, it was determined that the crown was completed in accordance with the standard of care. The patient's concerns are primarily cosmetic, which is outside the scope of services we provide at our office. The patient was advised to consult with a prosthodontist for further cosmetic evaluation. A refund was offered but declined by the patient, who has also disputed the charges with their bank.Customer Answer
Date: 04/24/2025
I am rejecting this response because: A refund was not offered and I'm still waiting for a Mint to contact me regarding this issue. My problem is not cosmetic and the crown that was placed is bigger than my normal tooth. I want Mint to correct this issue and not send a referral to another office. I will contact my credit card company and request a full refund as mentioned in the response from Mint. I will also contact my insurance company with these concerns to see how they'd like to proceed.

A formal refund request has been submitted, and a refund specialist will contact you within 35 business days. As previously stated, the crown was completed in accordance with the standard of care. If the patient would like adjustments to the appearance of the crown, she will need to consult the specialist we have referred her to.Customer Answer
Date: 04/25/2025
While I appreciate the refund provided to address my issue through another provider, I remain deeply concerned about the standard of care I received at your office. Prior to my visit, I had no issues with the color or size of my teeth, I genuinely loved my smile and had no desire for cosmetic alterations.
Your office initially suggested Invisalign or braces to close my gap, which I declined, as I preferred to maintain my natural appearance. All I needed was the crown on my front tooth replaced. Unfortunately, the crown placed on my front tooth is significantly mismatchedboth in size and in its yellow tintand does not blend with the rest of my teeth which are not yellow. As this is a front tooth, the discrepancy is especially noticeable and distressing.
Your records should clearly indicate how many times the crown was returned to the lab for adjustments. Additionally, I had to take time off work and return to your office over five times for this ongoing issue, which I find both unreasonable and disheartening. My first experience with the other crown replaced in 2016 went extremely well. However, the lack of care and focus on promoting other products at the cost of your clients will certainly cause a negative impact to your business. In addition, not addressing the original issue creating an even greater one, sending a referral for someone else to correct is very troubling. The standards of 2025 I'm assuming.
Customer Answer
Date: 04/25/2025
The shift in focus from patient care to promoting other services at the expense of addressing the original concern is troubling. Referring me elsewhere to have the issue corrected, rather than resolving it properly within your office, only adds to my frustration. If this is reflective of the standards in 2025, it's indeed disheartening.Business Response

The patient has disputed all charges and **** has allowed for all charges to close in her favor. ******* has received all funds back for the treatment. Our dental director is redoing the crowns at no cost to the patient.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the business response and accept this resolution.
Mint has went above and beyond to rectify this matter and it is greatly appreciated. I'm still waiting for the new crowns to be completed but I'm satisfied with the attention to this matter.

I went in for my appointment, and I was told that they had to cancel my appointment. I didn't receive a cleaning or exam. However, Mint Dentistry still billed my insurance company for services they never provided.I spoke to the manager ******** about this and she said she would resolve it. She lied because I spoke to my insurance company and they never received paymrby. I spoke to ******** on Friday and today March 24th, 2025 and she said she would call back-no call back or response. They have lied to my insurance company and received payment for services they didn't perform and now they're giving me the run around.Business Response

I am filing this letter to complain about services received from Mint Dentistry - specifically the ***************** Location. I had been a long-time customer of **********************, even referred several people to the facility because I was so impressed with the service there. Last year after a visit and the dentist there advise me to have several teeth pulled, 5 to be extracted and have a partial made for those teeth extracted. After paying for everything and waiting about two months for the partial I had to call them to ask when the partial could be seated. I was given an appointment to come in. The fit was not good, so the Partial was redone. After 3 months or so I called and got an appointment to go in. By that time the original Dentist had been moved to a new location, and I was told that the new assigned Dentist would not do an install because more work needed to be done. I was angry, and after speaking with the location Manager (****** *****) who promised to help for a resolution. For a whole year, she has not responded and will not take my phone calls. I am EXTREMLY disappointed and will be contacting my insurance company about possible fraud as they paid for services I never recieved.Business Response

After reviewing the account, we acknowledge there was a miscommunication and a lack of clear communication between our team and the patient. We are happy to continue the patients treatment, and the current office staff is fully informed of the situation. Please contact us at ************.Customer Answer
Date: 04/24/2025
I am rejecting this response because: I do not trust them to complete any work on my teeth nor any family members. I was ignored for a whole year while I simultaneously paid for a service that I did not receive. Unnecessarily 5 of my teeth were pulled which caused me great stress and emotional damage my self esteem. Not to mention money that paid out of pocket and the money they billed my insurance company for work never completed nor delivered.(Fraud) I had to pay $10,000.00 for another Dentist to fix the mess that was made.
I would like all funds refunded

The company lost my permanent crown in the lab during the pandemic- after reaching out to have the crown redone, they have refused to give me a $150 credit toward the crown that they promised would happen due to their mistake. Furthermore, in an attempt to lessen the accountability on their part, they have refused to serve me as a patient altogether. They also are holding $300 of my personal funds that was prepaid for the procedure now being refused.Business Response
Date: 02/27/2025
Patient seen for a crown prep in 2018 and was not compliant in returning to deliver the final crown. The patient was seen in a office this year and was told the crown needed to be redone. The patient believed she had a credit, of $150 and a prepayment of $300. After a full audit of the account, the patient did not have a credit of $150. The prepayment of $300 was refunded back to the patient on 2/25/2025. The patient was dismissed from our practice due to unacceptable behavior and being noncompliant on treatment.Customer Answer
Date: 03/06/2025
I am rejecting this response because: there has been no refund receipt, or proof anything has been refunded. The additional $150 was not a credit paid by me, if was a credit supplied by **** to assist in the rework of my crown; after investigating the notes from the work done in Arlington, **, they found no sufficient evidence that I was uncooperative in getting my crown finished. It was lost at the lab during the pandemic, and I even came in for 2 cleanings during the time they claim they were not able to schedule the permanent crown with me. The inappropriate conduct was surely on the part of **** and its representatives the dismissal seemed to be introduced as a way to silence me as a customer. Mint doesnt want to honor the credit that two of their representatives confirmed on recording that was to be due to me. This company has been unprofessional and a joke.Business Response
Date: 03/07/2025
A refund receipt was sent to the patients email. The patient was dismissed from our care and we will no longer be providing any services.
