For the last 12 weeks I have dealt with this company emptying 3 garbage cans at 4:45 in the morning. I have filed a complaint multiple times and they refuse to correct the issue. It is now 4:56 am on a Saturday and my 3 year old child has been woken up again.Initial Complaint

On July 5th Waste Connections drove over the corner of my property. It was the yard clipplings truck or the recycle truck. I reported it to the city and to Waste Connections. Thankfully they missed my sprinkler line. They destroyed a yard delineator. They have video on the trucks and I have video from my home security system of these events. Then on August 15th they drove over my yard again damaging my property and destroying yard delineators. Then on September 6th they yet again drove over my yard and damaged my property. My daughter reached out to them several times. She was told they are aware and and are working on resolution. Nothing has happened. My daughter purchased a pack of yard delineators for $15. I want to be reimbursed for the $15. She also has put a bag of soil down where the trucks run over the yard at times. I know the trash truck isn't to blame. The trash truck man is wonderful and knows my situation. It's the grass clippings truck and the recycle truck that are causing the problems. Please help.Customer Answer

I was able to deal with this issue on my own by finally reaching a manager. Please know it is resolved to my satisfaction as long as the truck drivers quit running over my property with their equipment. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I have been waiting for a second waste container for over two months. I still have not received it yet. I am being charged for it on my water bill in ********** Tx. Ive called on three different occasions and have been reassured that my case was being escalated yet here I am almost to the middle of August with no second waste container. I bought a home in 2021, where a dumpster for this company was present. We continued service with the company under the impression that we were continuing service for the prior homeowners. We were given a rate of $95.60, with an administrative fee of $6.00.Over the past 2 years, we've received over a 100% increase in our monthly charge. We currently pay $205 per month. I called the company and they would not adjust my rate to where it previously was, and they will not allow us to break our contract. They want to charge us for the remaining months of the contract, which accumulates to 3 years of monthly payments.Please help! We just want to end the contract as we cannot financially afford to pay double what we initially signed up for.Business Response

We originally had commercial waste collection service in 2008 with Bluebonnet at $187 per month. Then Bluebonnet was acquired by Progressive and then Progressive by Waste Connection. Now the monthly rate has been increased to $838 per month by Waste Connection (while their competitor Republic Waste only charges around $200 per month for the same service). They are saying the contract automatically renews to 5 years and we cant cancel the contract until 3/15/2025. When I called their phone number in October their rep ****** told me all I had to do was send a certified mail with 60-day notice of cancellation. So we send them a certified mail requesting cancellation. Now they are refusing to cancel unless we pay them around $5000.Initial Complaint

I've had Waste Connections picking up trash here for 13 years. July 3 2023 Monday they did not pickup. Called them Thursday. They said they sold my account to ****** Waste in *****. Since I.prepay 3 months ahead, I wanted a refund since I'm paid up through August. They said no I had to call ******. Of course ****** said no I had to get it from Waste Connections. And ****** says my pickup would be Friday. But. No, my trash is still sitting on.the curb since 7-03-2023.Customer Answer

We are previous customers of waste Connection for many years. In June 2022, we decided to no longer use their service. June 24, 2022 was the last time Waste Connections picked up our trash. When I went to the Waste Connections website to try and terminate further service, I tried to send an email through their website, it kept giving me some type of error but eventually i was able to send it. When we kept getting emails and bills from them, I emailed them again (this time from my personal email) for which I received a reply that they never received any termination notice and we would still need to pay for the last month of service, for which they did NOT ONCE pick up our trash during that last month.Initial Complaint

I started my service with Waste Connections out of Iowa Park Tx in 2020. We agreed upon a contract of right around $80.00 per month for 2 trash cans to be picked up once each week. At the beginning I had to call every week because they didn't pick up my trash. They normally got someone out within a few days and they did remove some from my bill when they couldn't get someone out. The main issue is, the bill has NEVER been the amount we agreed upon. They are passing fuel costs to the customer and went up on my trash can cost and I've never received any new trash cans. My bill in 2 years went up from $80.00 per month to now being $138.00 for the same service. I set on hold for 45 minutes today and spoke to a man that told me they were charging for fuel. In the same sentence he told me my bill wasn't affected by fuel costs. I asked to speak to his supervisor and she called me back about 45 minutes later. She was very nice but couldn't help, she stated my bill was always fluctuating due to fuel prices. They pick up my trash on the way back from their weekly town route in waurika Oklahoma. The driver has to go out of route a total of 4 miles on his way back to the unloading site. I've tried getting them to pick it up on their way to do the route on Monday in temple Oklahoma that was originally agreed upon in my contract and that puts the driver not going out of his was any to get my trash. My bill has went up over $50.00 per month since the contract was signed and the agreed upon day for pickup on Monday's has never been upheld by waste connections. I called them today to terminate my contract due to a fluctuating bill and our initial price never being upheld. She stated I would be sent a termination fee. I can't afford their trash service, what makes them think I can afford a huge termination fee. They have already had class action lawsuits for unlawful fuel surcharges in other states.
