      Zero stars. I hate monopolies. A $35 charge on the bill just for being a customer. What a joke.

      The customer charge on your bill reflects a basic charge of $17.00 plus a Conservation and Energy Efficiency surcharge of $0.05, a 2018 GRIP surcharge of $2.84, a 2019 GRIP surcharge of $4.71, a 2020 GRIP surcharge of $4.54, and a 2021 GRIP surcharge of $5.15 for a net customer charge of $34.29. The Gas Reliability Infrastructure Programs Surcharge (GRIP) is a surcharge to recover the costs of utility plant projects that have been completed since the last rate case pursuant to the Texas Utilities Code Sec. 104.301. This surcharge will appear on your bill until it is rolled into regular rates following the next rate case. For more information about your bill, visit atmosenergy.com/bill. The Customer Charge is a monthly fee to cover metering, billing and other fixed costs associated with the customer's account and is not affected by the amount of gas consumed. Since we are a regulated industry, the customer charge rate is agreed upon by your local city having jurisdiction and our regulators in the state.

      I hate monopolies, they can screw you over and they have no accountability. Should be broken up and have competitors. Absolute TRASH. Zero stars.

      Horrible service my mom had a gas leak that sent her bill from averaging $34 to $151 a month they do not reimburse you for gas leaks the first tech came out and indicated no leaks the second tech came out and indicated she had a leak. They didn't even know she had repaired her leak yet they noted it passed inspection. If it passed inspection 2 weeks later then u know the leak was repaired. I'm so pissed at this company. Mind you my mom is 73 on a fixed income so I'm paying the bill.

      liars and cheats I caught them lying about my bill! And what's going to happen to them? absolutely nothing! Why, because who's going to stop them? They said I used more gas last year which was not true. they said they under estimated my previous bill then bills and when I asked for a break down they could not explain anything! customer reps are rude and have no knowledge of how to explain their billing!

      They are horrible, and have no respect for their customers. Technicians will lie and say they tried to contact you, and put a paper on your door. When you should try and get in contact with the customer, because their bill money is paying your salary. They do not care at all.

      I purchased a home in Greenville TX, I closed on the house in April of 2022, The previous owners needed some time to move out so I rented them the home for an additional month and a half. when I did my walk through after they moved the elec. and gas service was disconnected. We got the elec service connected but decided to wait until we were getting ready to move in to have the gas service turned on. I signed up for gas service in July of 2022 within a few days I get a bill for over $100 for the months prior to my service connection.. They are charging me for the previous owners gas for months I wasn't even in the home. I know its only $100 but I don't think I should be held liable for gas I didn't use just because I owned the home, My connection date was 7-14 -22 I shouldn't be liable for any gas before then. I have only had service with them for 10 days and am already so dissatisfied, Sure wish I could shop around for gas but they are the only provider so I guess they get to do whatever they want. Just unfair business practice.

      The prior tenants were disconnected for non payment on 5/31/2022. Anytime a new request for service is made following a disconnection for non payment, we determine ownership of the home or validate lease agreements. Your move in date was corrected back to the date you purchased the home. The rest of the past due balance was left under the prior tenant's name.

      As I have said The previous owner was in the home until 5-15-22, when I got there the gas service was not on and the meter was locked. My contract with Atmos began on 7-14-22 I should not be held liable for gas service before that date.. I can't understand why this is such a hard concept for them to understand. My contract began on 7-14-22 therefore anything before then is not my responsibility, Although I think they are going to try and force me to convert to electricity or pay a bill that is not mine..This whole matter is still under review and I will be posting an update when or if I hear back..

      Terrible customer service. 4 hour service blocks that you get absolutely zero updates on. No phone call when they are on the way, nothing. Just be prepared for them to show up. I was told their techs CAN call you but most just don't. So glad I never have to use this company ever again.
