My profile was hacked - I reported that it was hacked - they shut off my access to my profile for at least a month of which had already been paid for. I eventually get my access to my profile - they do not extend my subscription for the month that I lost Then I tell them I cant access the profile because I still cant verify my phone number - mind you I had emailed them 6 times over the course of two months stating that I couldnt verify my phone number - during that time was when my profile got hacked - I now am still paying for my subscription and do not have access to my profile.Business Response

Hinge banned my account accusing me of violating rules. I've had my account for years with hundreds of friendly interactions. I believe this is a mistake. I made an appeal which was instantly rejected. They do not provide a reason for the ban. I appreciate their efforts to keep the community safe since the platform is full of people with bad intentions, fake profiles, and scams. Well, I'm not one of the them. I'm a well established professional. I'm also part of a minority so I can't help to wonder if this is targeted, which is obviously something that would have to be addressed outside of the BBB services.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
I have already appealed through proper channels.it appears their system is fully automated and no one is actually considering the facts or giving any form of explanation outside of their usual template. (You can see that they replied to my BBB complaint very fast. Without looking into the facts and telling me to do what Ive already down, which is submitting an appeal)
I think their reply highlights the core of the issue with their business practices, they do not read messages or interact with their customers in a way that is appropriate.
There are hundreds of complaints similar to mine, this is a widespread issue. This business doesnt care about what is right or customers.

Hinge bands men based on vague terms of service if a woman reports having a negative experience. These reports can be completely made up because things didn't go the way they wanted, or these reports can come from men stating what their dating preferences are that make them feel bad. Getting permanently banned because of having a bad date or because a guy doesn't want to be in a relationship with a single mother is not justification for kicking someone off the platform. Women play men on these apps all the time just to get free meals or what have you but aren't going to file a report (more often than not) because we know the game. Even if we did file a report for having a bad experience, it is very unlikely that a woman would get banned because these apps need women on the platform.Business Response

I am filing this complaint against Match Group because my account was permanently banned without any valid explanation, even though I did not violate any terms or community guidelines.I was a paying customer using the service in good faith. Thank you for your response, but I do not accept this as a resolution.
I have already submitted an appeal through the ********************* as you suggested, but I did not receive any clear explanation, details, or evidence for my ban. The response felt like an automatic rejection, and I dont feel that my case was given a proper manual review.
My main concern is that my account was banned permanently without any specific reason provided. I strongly believe I did not violate any Terms of Use intentionally. I sincerely apologize if I unknowingly did something wrong, and I am asking for a fair chance to have my account reinstated.
I genuinely appreciated using Tinder to look for meaningful connections and I still hope to be part of the community again. I am requesting that Match Group conduct a full manual review, provide me with the detailed reason for my ban, and give me a fair chance to correct any unintentional mistakes.
I am asking that this issue be handled directly through this BBB case, not just closed with generic links. If this cannot be resolved fairly, I may need to escalate this through other consumer protection channels.

Hello, I have been using Tinder and OK Cupid for years. My pictures are of me and they are real. I have always been a gentleman. I have never violated any of the community standards. I used the services while on vacation in **** and, while I was there, both services banned me from their websites for life with absolutely no explanation as to why. I am rejecting this response because:
i have made an appeal and was ignored by ******. And the appeal with hinge they rejected but didnt give a reason, and dont have a basis for such claims. All I want is my account back, I was wrongfully flagged for location move and updating profile pics as my appearance changed as I was now wearing makeup in new photos. This is not a justifiable ban. I am a loyal and respectful and legitimate customer and Im asking for my accounts to be given back.

hinge banned me for changing my location to my home city as Im traveling there soon, and hinge give you the choice to change it in the app. This is extremely unfair, this is a complain through business Bureau. If a resolution is not reached this will take further action.

Hello,I am having issues with multiple Match Group apps. Plenty of Fish, OkCupid, Tinder, and Hinge. My Hinge account was unbanned due to an appeal a few years ago. Ever since then I have been struggling to get any matches. I feel like my account is shadowbanned due to not getting any matches and I know my profile is fine. Im also having the same problem getting any matches on OkCupid and Plenty of Fish. My Tinder account is still banned and I was hoping to get it unbanned since I still dont know why Im account was banned. If I was able to get my Hinge account unbanned I feel like it would only be fair to have my Tinder account unbanned as well. I am rejecting this response because: My complaint doesnt have to do directly with bans except for tinder. I believe my algorithm is messed up on all match group apps that I use or Im shadow banned. I was hoping my accounts could be reviewed and fixed. Either having my algorithm checked or the shadow ban lifted.
