      This company charged my mother $218.96 - there are no email confirmations to show what this amount of money is for. I have asked her about this and she does not recall ever talking to someone at this company and has no idea what the charge is for. I have reached out to the company directly to see if I can find out what they are charging her for and receipt of whatever it is she was supposed to receive. In reading other online complaints I assume it is for some sort of "yearbook" that she does not remember being interviewed for or requesting. This company is preying on the elderly hoping they will not pay close attention to their bank statements to see they are being charged for something they have never received.

      I have reviewed the business response and accept this resolution.  After speaking with a senior representative of the company and understanding what the product was, I rescind my review and complaint of this company.  They showed compassion to the situation and refunded the monies spent.

      This organization sent my father a postcard. My 90-year-old father called the number thinking it was ****************** asking him to answer questions for the "2024 ****************** Oral History Project". This was a misleading call; he was led to believe this was ****************** calling him. I called ****************** to follow up and they are not involved with this publication. We recognize that this is a scam. My father was charged $519.17. We tried calling to cancel and the phone number has a recording that states that the staff is out of the office and to call back. I am his POA and want a refund issued immediately.

      I found a charge of $541.21 for this company on my dementia-suffering mother's credit card. it appears this firm contacts the elderly and then asks them simple questions in the guise of being a respected publication with the promise of sending them a publication with that interviewed person cited in it.I will be contacting them during normal business hours tomorrow and requesting a refund. My mother does not remember an interview or a phone call regarding any of this. This firm has to be be preying on the elderly from what I see in all of these complaints. Banks should cease processing payments for this firm. This is clearly a racket.

      - paid on June 21, 2023 the amount of $169.98 USD - I was told I would receive a "virtual yearbook of stories" and that "all my classmates are participating," which was not the truth. A very small number of my classmates contributed, because this is a scam. The deliverable is terrible quality, hard to access and not a good ***resentation of my university. - The biggest issue is their customer service and the sales *** who harassed me until I agreed to buy it. This is clearly a scam and sales people who will do and say anything to get you buy the product. I felt bullied and forced into buying the dumb thing.

      This company sent a misleading letter claiming to be from an educational institution to my girlfriends residence and hounded her with emails and calls for weeks. The letters claim that there is some kind of alumni registry surreptitiously run by this 3rd party that appeared to be official but was a vailed attempt to get money out of her. She also had been receiving multiple unsolicited emails from PCI. believing them to be from her **** mater. None of the addresses were from that institution indicating the this being a phishing attempt from ***. She was finally manipulated into giving the organization money under the impression that it was going to her college. We cannot verify if this is the case. In summary, this organization uses misleading, false, and generally scamming practices to target alumni, who are vulnerable to being manipulated by official looking correspondence. additionally, they are representatives and automated systems are far too aggressive for any legitimate fundraising endeavor.

We partner with hundreds of colleges, universities, high schools, and organizations each year.       The Capital University publication shipped just a few days ago, on October 1. Upon receipt of this inquiry, we contacted Ms. Gilbert and issued a full refund, sent by mail. She will also receive the publication this month, which was already in the mail at the time of this inquiry. If we can be of any further assistance, please let us know. Immediate payment for a project that phone agent said would take one year for fulfillment. Charge appeared in *************** pending charges. Stop the charge. One year project delay.       I requested in writing from Publishing Concepts, Inc. to verify the debt, but this company has refused to provide this verification. I had paid a total of $290.16 for the University of ******* ***** Digital Publication Order #*******.

      We're so sorry for any confusion about this order. The University of ******* ***** contracted with PCI for an Oral History program. Details about that project may be found on their website here: *******************************************************. In April, Ms. ***** contacted us to participate and purchased the hardbound/digital combo. An email confirmation of this purchase, along with requests about submitting a photo was sent to *********************. She paid half at the time of the call ($145.08) and the second installment was scheduled for approximately a month later. We received notice in May from Ms. ******* credit card company that she had disputed the second installment and that transaction was refunded to her by the credit card company at that time. One of our Client Experience associates, Annette, left a message for Ms. ***** in June confirming the second installment had been cancelled and indicating that the remaining balance of $145.08 would be sent in a hard copy invoice for her review. We currently show an open balance of $145.08. If we can assist in any way with the submission of payment or the cancelling of the invoice, just let us know.       I participated in the oral history project and was excited to be included. I received a draft copy of what was going to be written and it was full of errors and mistakes which I then submitted corrections for. I was horrified when I received the printed copy of the book that is literally filled with outright lies and false truths about my life and my story. Its like the person who was documenting cut out major pieces of the story and pieced together a puzzle of nonsense. They even spelled my mascot from my high school wrong 3 different ways, 3 different times as well as spelled my hometown wrong. These are errors I would not have made on my own, and I know for sure, because I have screenshots to show, that I updated these mistakes in the initial review of the book. I feel very taken advantage of and I feel that I was scammed out of my money for this book The other disappointing part is anybody that gets a copy of this book will be reading a story with my picture next to it that is not factual at all! I am embarrassed that this is what is being put out into the public when these are not my words, even though that is the whole purpose of the project! This story is not in my own words, but rather someone who filtered my words, and completely changed my history and my story. Some of the sentences are downright offensive and its made to seem that I said them. They make it look like Im taking credit for accomplishments I did not achieve. I look like a fool. They took my money (a high price!) wasted my time and then humiliated me in print. If anyone sees this - DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THIS PROJECT!

      I have reviewed the business response and accept this resolution.  They have refunded my money that I paid for this project. I am still disappointed that the books have already been printed with the misinformation and the misspellings because they do make me look bad, but theres not much I can do about that part at this point. They did contact me by phone. I have not yet had a chance to call back.
