      This company provides a very poor service and I would advise against using it. I wish I had checked their very low rating on the BBB website before calling them. The "Area Manager" (*****) is rude and disconnected my call when I complained about the fact that the (independent contractor) technician needed to return and check the repair work done on the dryer as I was getting a strong burning smell when I started it. She said the technician was in hospital for an emergency and she would try to reach him but that he was the only technician in the area. She became annoyed when I asked her how the company could promise 24-hour appliance repair on its website (**************************) with only one technician in the area. She disputed that they offered 24/7 service and said only calls were taken 24 hours.

      The technician showed up the next day and checked the dryer and assured me it was working properly (the rubber burning smell was due to the new belt being exposed to the heat). The technician also said the washer needed some repairs but I could not schedule it until later due to other commitments. I paid him $720 for the work on the dryer and washer (in advance for the washer replacement parts and service).

      The washer had to be repaired a few days later due to an emergency by another company before the first technician could come back. Now I have requested him to refund the money I paid him for the work on the washer.

      Meanwhile, ApplianceHD refused to refund the booking fee of $95 which they charged me, arguing that I had agreed to pay this amount on TOP of the payment to the technician. This is not usual business practice, and I do not clearly recall agreeing to it.

      Bottom line - ApplianceHD is providing very poor service, which appears to be just running a roster of independent technicians and contacting them on behalf of customers (for $95) for setting up appointments. The technician was knowledgeable and polite but his charges may have been way too high.

      Took my C/C info and booked my appointment . No one called or showed even after being charged $30 dollars. Called and was told they only work via text . Received text by ***** who said she would personally guarantee appointment for the next day . Received text the next day saying sorry they were unable to keep the appointment . How ever at that point she told me they were charging an additional $ 70 for having the appointment they couldn't keep . Then would reverse the charges in four days .

      Forget this outfit. Made an appointment for service and received a text just beforehand they needed to cancel and would reschedule the following business day at the same time. Sitting at home waiting for the technician and again received a text that they needed to cancel as they don't cover my area. These idiots couldn't tell me that when I made the appointment. Now I need to check my credit card to make sure they don't charge me the fee for coming out. Someone needs to put these jackasses behind bars.
