They have taken 3 months to get my account on the buy back program so it has now been 3 months that I have paid for electricity I am not using because my generators are making it. Don't get them stay away their contracts are extremely long. And not a "great" deal.Just Energy Group, Inc.

Deceiving, not doing what the Sales reps are saying.
I'm extremely disappointed and feel taken advantage of. This company’s sales reps target specific stores and promise to reimburse cancellation fees from previous providers, but they never ask how much those fees actually are. They assure you it will be fully covered, only to call a month later and say the maximum reimbursement is $150. In my case, the cancellation fee was $600. Not even their own cancellation fee is that low! This is misleading at best and feels like a bait-and-switch tactic. What’s worse is that they seem to target locations where people may not know their rights or how to respond. To make matters even worse, I’m now paying more than I was before switching. I was misled every step of the way. As a consumer, I’m trying to cut expenses, not add to them—and this company has done the opposite of what they promised. Now I'm told I have to wait another 10 to 15 days just to find out if there will be any resolution. That is completely unacceptable. Because of these deceptive practices, I will be filing formal complaints with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and my State Attorney General’s office. Consumers deserve honesty and transparency, not manipulation.Just Energy Group, Inc.

Horrendous experience. The sales ***resentative found me in a ***** store and INSISTED it was going to be amazing. Told me they would put me on their special nights free plan with a special offer of 19 cents per hour during the day and -30 cents per hour at night and insisted that as long as I "ran a tv" at night I would have a bill that was 100 or less. They also promised me a gift card to ****. Low and behold, I get my bill and it says I am paying 20 cents an hour on average. I called and told them what the sales *** told me and all they could say was "Sorry the sales *** lied" and that I am actually paying 30 cents during the day and -30 a night and it was my fault my bill was so high because I wasn't using enough energy at night. Did not try to fix it. When I cancelled, and asked if I was ever going to get my ***** gift card I was promised they told me No. I got my last bill for the remaining days (9 DAYS) and was charged ****** for 9 days!!! They claimed I used over 700 kWH and when I asked them to double check the meter because there was no way they told me they couldn't because I cancelled and If I reactivated my membership they could do that for me. Horrible experience and $480 bill later. Willing to do NOTHING to help, or fix their shady sales practices. Awful experience.Just Energy Group, Inc.

I have already called back and spoke to a customer service liaison. They asked about the situation, and apologized. The situation wasn't resolved, and the most the liaison said they would do is open an investigation on the sales representative.Review fromJoseph B

I immediately tried to cancel this service. Contacted the man that claimed all this good stuff and sent texts to the texts o got.Tried to call customer service. All i ever got was elevator music. I waited as long as I could stand it.Put a flag on my electric provider to not let anyone change me over. They let it happen anyway.I'm very angry after checking their scam overly high bills. The worst customer care service. I have asked to switch my account to new Apartment on June 7 , 2025, they shifted it to May 7, 2025. Called more than 5 plus times to confirm the address change but every time they say it as May 7, 2025.Atlast i got confirmation in phone that my account will be activated at new address on June 7, 2025 but they are helpless to send an confirmation email which is very much required for my new lease agreement else i wont get the new lease. Very sad to say this , Tara energy cannot even send any confirmation email. The customer care never understands. I am posting this review to Just Energy since Tara Energy comes under Just EnergyJust Energy Group, Inc.

After nearly 3 hours on the phone, the issue was finally resolved by Just Energy, the parent company of Tara Energy. However, a week later, I received a call from Tara Energy customer care, and only then was the move-out request email sent.Unfortunately, I ended up spending 5 to 6 hours of my valuable time on what should have been a simple request. Given this experience, I still feel uncertain about relying on Tara Energy customer serviceespecially if there are any changes to the move-in or move-out dates.Review fromDavud E

Just Energy signed me up in Kroger for a solar buyback program and free nights. Only problem is they haven't been buying my solar for months. When I called them they acted like it was my fault. What a scam!Just Energy Group, Inc.

This company is literally stealing money from me. I am in a one bedroom one bath apartment. My bill has been almost $400.00 for 3 months in a row. I call to tell them theres no way my bill should that high. They investigated the situation and said that my bill and usage was correct! IMPOSSIBLE! It is literally me and my dog here. And I work hybrid. People with 4 bedroom homes have cheaper electricity bills than this. No one can explain to me why my bill is remotely over $200.00. I have to constantly do extensions, because I can not afford the bill. Its crazy!Just Energy Group, Inc.

Do not sign up with this company I was told by a *** in the store that Id be paying ****** per kilowatt I was actually paying 23cent per kilowatt and now Im stuck in a two year contract with them and I have to pay $175 fee if I decide to leave them after being conned into signing up with them.Just Energy Group, Inc.
