      Cornerstone home lending insurance department is horrible agent name Sara A help me to Resolve my problem but she didn’t do it professionally. As a home owner I don’t Deserve that kind of behavior and service from them they need to hire somebody more professional to take care customer

      Buyers who will be using assumable mortgages (e.g. VA) beware! If it is ever possible you will exercise the Assumption option on your mortgage, choose another lender to finance with! I went under contract with a buyer in early May 2022 to transfer my mortgage. Cornerstone's Assumptions office (which is apparently a third-party servicer, but represents Cornerstone) can not be reached via phone and generally takes a week to respond to emails, if ever. We sent in all documentation promptly as it was requested (required to be sent in via snail mail, if you can believe it). Yet, by mid-July, we could not get a status on how much longer this was to take. I was then notified that Cornerstone had sold my mortgage to another company. This was done on August 2nd. As of now, it looks like we are going to have to start completely over because Cornerstone never issued an approval on our Assumption when they still had the mortgage. No amount of phone calls to Cornerstone were successful in remedying any of these issues. Until Cornerstone takes over responsibility for their own Assumptions department and establishes a phone number, I do not recommend financing with them.

      The harassment is none stop! I received 4 letters in 1 day stating that my insurance was no longer active due to none payment and that they would be adding their own insurance that was almost 3xs as much! My insurance is rolled into my mortgage payment and isn't due for 5 more months! They have "lost" MULTIPLE payments in the mail AND over the phone (still don't understand that one). Oh and speaking with a supervisor is none existent! I chose them because that's who the broker used. Worst mistake of my life! It has been Hell the last 2 years dealing with them!!!!
