      We filed a warranty complaint against our fiber cement siding, due to cracking, gapping and lifting. We turned in all receipts and photo evidence of such. Our home is only 5 years old and the Allura siding has a 50 year warranty. They denied our claim, even though we have researched and read the use of fly ash on making the fiber cement siding has caused many issues as we are experiencing. ***** ******* is the warranty lead specialist that I have been in contact with via email. The company claims that it is because of installation, but I disagree. If this is happening to many other people, especially in our area of western **************, it cant be every installers fault. I know this company doesnt want to hold up to their end of the bargain by honoring their warranties, because it is very evident that several people who used Allura siding have the same complaint.

      I started a claim with Allura due to fiber cement lap siding boards cracking around my house; in all their paperwork they state this siding has a 30 year warranty from defects. I submitted a new claim for additional siding boards cracking and they responded back saying they are denying my claim. I feel this company is intentionally bullying and stonewalling me and operating with illegal business practices. This company currently has a rating of F with the Better Business Bureau.

      In 2017 I had new siding manufactured by Allura USA installed on my house. It is now cracking and looks like its starting to pop off the house. I filed a warranty claim with the company. They approved the claim but are only paying for the damaged boards and not what its going to cost to have it installed and painted. They claim its in their warranty. However when I installed the siding they never offered me any warranty or informed me about any of their warranty policies. I would not have used the company if I knew that was their stance. They also want me to sign a waiver that says I cant file any more claims for future damage. More and more siding is cracking as weeks go on. It started suddenly and is getting worse and worse. I should not have to pay for the installation of new siding because of Alluras defective product which they admitted to it being defective. The warranty specialist ***** ******* also stopped communicating with me over the phone even though I explained I work as a UPS driver and cant really email. I would have liked to speak to her over her the phone so I could explain the situation better. I want the company to hold themselves fully accountable for their defective product. Due to the extent of the damage to my home and the rate it is becoming more damaged I am requesting that Allura fully replace the siding on the entire home, pay for installation, and pay for the paint. It is only fair and I dont thinks its asking a lot for the company to take full responsibility.

      A warranty claim was filed on June 28, 2023 for Alluras siding on my home. Two years after being built, the siding began cracking all over the house. A representative came out and came to the conclusion that our siding needed to be replaced. I received notification that the replacement would be outsourced to *********** in ************. I did not hear from ***** until September and was told that the product was on back order for 4-6 weeks. It has been 11 weeks and I cannot get a hold of Allura or Tikal despite several attempts, as Alluras inferior siding continues to sit and crack on my home.

      November 13, 2014 we were building our house in SouthDakota and purchased materials including fiber cement board siding from *******. The siding was installed November/December of 2014. In June of 2019 we noticed that the siding was cracking, shrinking and gapping. We notified our contractor and ******* of the issue. The material was to have a 50 year warranty. ******* advised that the siding was involved in a pending lawsuit and provided the information to file a claim reference the class action against Plycem Allure siding. We filed the claim in February of 2020 and when the terms of the settlement was approved by the courts in June of 2021 we filed our claim. We actually had to file our documentation 5 different times in differing formats before the Claims Administrator would accept the claim. November 2, 2022 we received a call from the Claims Administrator. The Administrator acknowledged receipt of the 170+ photos and documents of damage but advised the serial numbers on the back of the siding is not that of ****** siding but ********* siding. ********* is not part of the Lawsuit as such our Claim was denied. Reviewing information on ********* we discovered ********* is made by Maxitile and that Maxitile is owned by Elementia from South America. Elementia also is the owner of Plycem that makes ****** siding. Elementia has not returned my calls so far. ******* advised that they are only the distributor and are not responsible for the quality control. That the quality control and liabilty rests with the supplier. Our Insurance Company did send out a Claims Adjuster who did confirm the siding is defective and further that until it is replaced they will not cover any damage to the structure that could be related to the siding.
